I spent the most wonderful moments of my life here, and made some true friends. Although I had some problems with couple of instructors, but the main thing is I wish to come back again and live those splendid moments again with my awesome friends and cool instructors especially M.Beth, Debbie.I, Laura.B, Douglas.L, and Tony.C who made studying enjoyable than I could ve ever imagined.
Program was not very thorough and the blackboard system was sketchy. The instructors were helpful, but the negative rating goes to the poor handling of transcripts. A school should have a process that handles transcripts quickly, safely, and thoroughly. I was surprised that they still require use of faxes and checks.
I was a UCSD CSE extension student (exchange student for 2 quarters). People there are good advisors but unfortunately, they can't do a lot for you concerning CSE waitlist. I think going to ucsd was one of the best decision in my entire life, but I think the price is pretty high for extension students while they are really low priority students for everything. You can't even join the main waitlist and you end up taking whatever class is available to conplete your units.
This is in regards to the lactation pathway 2. I spent over $2,000 on pre reqs and first aid training. Being a stay at home mom and trying to save up to buy a house that s not chump change. The staff on hand never returned phone calls and they never found me a clinical site so I wasn t accepted. Now months later I can t even reapply. the programs entirely shut down due to restaffing.... I m not going to need all those courses for anything else. No other school I know if requires them. I d like 3 months of my life back plus the money! I was so excited to help get my foot in the door and jumpstart my pathway to being an RN/ lactation consultant. not going to happen I guess. Hopefully they fix some things but for now I m so upset I wasted money.

I am updating my review to reflect a current change in service that Mr. Andrew Kaplan was able to give me. To be exact, he was able to take care of every issues that I had and he even went the extra mile to help me and for that I will always be very thankful of the school for doing!!
Aside from the recent help, the education that the school provides is above all expectations for me and that has always been the case! I mean, if you want education that is relevant to the industry and from teachers that have a lot of experience on the job then UCSD Extension is the way to go! I mean, this school literally gives everyone the chance to be able to pursue their dreams without having to apply to expensive graduate programs at other schools and going through all of the red tape! On top of that, this school offers both in class as well as online programs that are specifically meant for working professionals to have the chance to go back to school in order to fine tune their schools!
I cannot think of a single school in the area or even outside that has invested so much in local students the way UCSD has done so and for this I will always thank them because they have opened a lot of doors for me that were otherwise no open before! Again, this school's sole purpose is to give working professionals a second chance to go back to school at an affordable price to study what ever they want and this is clearly a game changer in the industry!
