I had a horrible experience that I would like to share. Our primary doctor gave us a referral for an eye exam, assuming that this was going to be cover by our insurance Anthem as part of the yearly check up. When we arrived at their office Boulder Eye Surgeons, we asked the receptions if she could make sure that this appointment was going to be covered by our insurance. She called and confirmed that it was going to be. We then later received a bill for close to $400.00 dollars for an eye exam and of course nothing was covered by our insurance. Now, we are stuck with a bill for $400 dollars and of course the doctors at the Boulder Eye Surgeons do not care, even their receptions confirmed that it was going to be covered. I believe this was their mistake as well but they were not willing to provide us with a discount. If this was not covered why would I spend $400.00 dollars on an eye exam? I have been battle with this charge for over a year. Sadly I need to waste $400.00 dollars if not they will send it to collections.
