This was such a nice resort and getaway.
My wife and I came down from Phoenix for a weekend away during the summer ad couldn't have been happier.
The summer rates are CHEAP, the staff exceptionally friendly, and the food spectacular.
We were lamenting the fact that there were no restaurants nearby when we were directed to the Sunday Brunch by the concierge.
Oh. My. God.
Fresh, rare Prime rib that the cheap put on the grill to be done "medium" for my wife (and anyone else that asked.) Hot racks of barbecue ribs kept warm over charcoal. Peeled shrimp, oysters and clams on the half shell, and an eight foot table of desserts were only the beginning...
I felt conquered by the buffet, so we went out and spent the rest of the day by the pool.
The hot tub, while not quite as hot as I would have liked, was right next to a "plunge pool" mineral bath that WAS ICE COLD.
In the 110 degree heat, it felt MARVELOUS.
The rooms were very nice, the beds extremely comfortable, (each has its own patio with a view of the valley or the mountain.) and we couldn't have had a better time.
