Bought a BMW last year, it was 2017 X3! The car had 20500 miles on it and it was certified! We paid more because it was certified so we trusted BMW for certifying the car! We were told that the car has been checked throughly and we shouldn't worry about anything! I specifically asked about the breaks and again we were told the breaks are brand new! Due to Covid 19 the car was parked for the most part of 2020, we put only 2000 miles on it! Last week I took the car for just regular service and we were told that both front breaks pads along with rotors need to be replaced, estimating $1600! After going back and forth was service manager, I ended up going to the sales manager (the manager of the department where I bought the car)! I explained that we paid more for the car because it was certified and now the breaks need to be replaced! We only drive 2000miles! The sales manager said that he will check the certification details and get back to me in 2 days! Now, it's been almost a week and haven't heard from the manager!! Obviously not a trust worthy dealership and bad business practice! I honestly don't think they checked the car and breaks during the certification process! They just charge you More and give you a sheet of paper to make you feel good only! I don't recommend this dealership and their service! Save your money and go to a different dealership! I expect a better service from BMW and particularly this dealership! Bad business practice and service!
