The staff are all incredibly friendly and super motivated in helping you succeed. I am giving a 3 star rating because I think that their curriculum could be better developed. In twelve weeks you are jack knifed from learning Ruby, ruby on rails, postgresql, Javascript, and React. It is pretty much assumed you have a basic working knowledge of html and css before you start the course. I would have preferred if they did an all JavaScript language stack like node/react and spent most of the early stages learning vanilla JS and then adding node and react on top of that later. Because of switching languages so fast I felt I was never able to fully get the fundamentals of coding in general like I would have liked. After the course I am having to go back to the very fundamentals of JavaScript that I just didn't learn from the course. Ultimately the price point is very fair for what you are getting and the environment is amazing. I wish they would revisit their curriculum. I feel like this was a great way to start my path into coding. I had no prior experience and this gave me the structure and support to buckle down that I really wouldn't have had on my own between having a full time job and kids. I don't feel like I am comfortable getting a job right after this course but I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to have done it. Ultimately you just have to be aware of what you are getting and what you aren't. It's possible that this is one of the best 12 week courses and maybe just the concept of a 12 week course for someone with no coding experience is just a flawed model. Students in my class who have had prior coding experience or who had no jobs while attending were able to succeed really well. However, if you are working a full time job and have a family I would recommend going into this course with the expectation that you will need to spend a few months afterwards continuing learning before you will feel comfortable applying for development jobs.
