I stay at the Gulf frequently, as I am a prestige member. I had not been in a while, until last night. Unfortunately quality and value have drastically plummeted. I m not sure I will return, there are too many other options in Bahrain. I stayed in a platinum room that lauded many luxuries, but delivered on only few. The biggest surprise were the towels, very generic, the farthest thing from luxury. Formula One was in town so the Gulf decided to surge up the price and apparently lower customer care. I will think twice about booking there again.
