A tired hotel with tired staff.

A tired hotel with tired staff.

The building is lovely, but the hotel is badly in need of an update/refresh (old carpets, 1980s/1990s paint, and heavy furniture all over), and the breakfast staff on the ground floor were practically invisible when we stayed there this week. We had to ask for coffee twice and eventually had to go on the hunt for some. Our wait staff seemed uninterested in much beyond telling us that the buffet was the best breakfast option, and the food quality was not great. In the Executive Lounge the staff were very helpful but the food was deplorable: stale, stodgy pastries, puddingy yogurt, quite nasty coffee, and artificial coffee cream. Can't we serve real cream or even milk these days at Hilton?

My first day I was out at a conference from morning to 3:30 and returned to find that my room had not been touched. I sat down and then my door flew open: the maid finally arrived around 3:45! What sort of hotel experience is Hilton trying to give its guests in Fort Worth?
