I've been coming to Fox Buick (formerly Fox Pontiac) for 10 years to get oil changes. I've never once paid more than $30 for an oil change, and never waited more than 5 minutes to park my car and allow the technicians to drive it into the garage for an oil change. Today I was instructed by the service adviser that I should wait in my car in front of the garage until I can drive it in myself. I waited 45 minutes to do so. After another 45 minutes of waiting in the lobby I am given my invoice which cost $35.08 after using a $10 coupon they sent me in the mail (which I have never previously used a coupon). The adviser then informed me that the day after Christmas they decided to raise the oil change rates, presumably by over 50%. They have also required coupons to be given before service, which leads me to believe that they increase your invoice cost to make up for your coupon.
