Very bad customer experience

Very bad customer experience, I am a big fan of their products as they are of high quality, unfortunately their customer care is extremely bad. I use to be a loyal customer, on my last order I had a product missing. Its been more than two months since Roxy customer help is making me fill in all sorts of document, in the meanwhile they offer no explanation as to what they are doing to solve my problem. They are not responsive and they waste my time and keep me waiting for a product I paid but never received. It would have been pretty easy for them to solve my problem and offer good customer care, they are unable to do so and I must admit I am so disappointed by this I stoped buying their brand.

Definitely the best surf shop in Barcelona by far epic range of boards and apparel , very helpful and friendly staff. Juan Carlos even knew the surfing conditions for the upcoming week. Awesome experience!

Awesome this store. It consists of two floors. Dependents very nice. The clothes here expensive ... but worth it !!

Nefarious customer service, I entered the store 25...

Nefarious customer service, I entered the store 25 minutes before closing and after 5 they were already doing me the wrong way. No employee asked me if I needed anything, only 3 employees approached me to inform me very unfriendly that I should leave the store because they closed in 20 minutes. If it was my business, tomorrow they were all on the street ... I was going to spend 170 and I couldn't because they kicked me out.

Don't rent surf boards from here. Not helpful or nice, found out they only had short boards after paying. I paid for a half day but only used two hours and they wouldn't refund me. Not recommended.

I arrived at 9pm cause I needed fins for my board. The store closes at 8h45 so the door was sealed off for the day... Yet one of the salesman saw my face like "I am gonna miss the wave forecast tomorrow" and reopen to give me my fins like who does that???? Big thanks to this guy Lo e the spirit, many thanks bro!!!

They are charming dependents with good care. Typical prices in this type of brands. Good discounts. The design of the store is spectacular. Stand out surfboards moving on the facade. Maybe the store is a little hidden. It is easily recognizable from the walk the store. It has a schedule adapted to the circumstances of where it is located in front of the Barceloneta beach and the promenade. Parking is inconvenient because it is a pedestrian street. But there is parking nearby

If you want to rent a surfboard here, they told me that you cannot see a board before renting one. They were very rude and it makes absolutely zero sense that they say they have 2 kinds of boards: SUP and surf and that you cannot see which you want to use. My advice would be to go elsewhere, I've had a few bad experiences with these guys so I felt obliged to finally make a review

A free longboard lesson offered by Boardriders cost me a broken arm!
My wife and I were planning to learn longboarding so we went to Boardriders store in Barceloneta. Then next to the checkout we saw some flyers saying that they offered free longboard classes every sunday in partnership with a company called Ungravity, which we thought was a great opportunity for us to see how we do as beginners before investing. So we registered using the link on the flyers and in the registration it said it included the boards and helmets as you can see in the screenshot I attached.
We went there on Sunday morning at the planned time. There were about ten people. The instructor gave us boards but no helmets or any kind of protection. He showed us how to stand on the board and skate in front of the store for literally 10 minutes and told us to go skating with him from Barceloneta to Forum which is about 5 kms. We were struggling because it was a Sunday morning and the place was crowded with people walking, running, biking etc. Some people even stopped him to say this wasn't the right place to take beginners. There were many times we couldn't go on and started to walk. So he would come on his skate and pull us while we were trying to stay in balance.
I managed to make it until Poble Nou but unfortunately there was a downhill where the longboard got going faster and I couldn't keep my balance and fell. And apparently I broke my wrist. The instructor bought some ice for me from a market and said that he was going to call me when we left for hospital, but never called. My arm was put in cast and I had to take a sick leave for 55 days. Fortunately I had my own insurance, I can't even imagine how much it would cost me as I had to go to he doctor's and have my arm x-rayed every two weeks and now I have to go to rehabilitation.
Last Saturday I went to the store and said that I wanted to speak to the manager to tell about my situation hoping some kind of apology and tell them they should be more responsible. They told me he was out and the person I talked to, told me that he was going to tell the store manager about this and make him/her call me. He also told me that the instructor we had that day was not their regular instructor. He was out for competition and that's why one of his friend covered for him. (So what? Is this a reason for being irresponsible and putting my life at risk?)
Anyway, I received no call from Boardriders. Instead they made the instructor call me the next day and he said he was sorry etc etc
I never thought a big and famous store like Boardriders would behave in such an irresponsible and careless way. The reason we subscribed was because we trusted Boardriders. I could have hit my head, I could have died. I don't want the same thing happen to another person, that's why I wanted to share my experience here. I am also considering taking some legal action about my situation and go to court. Any recommendations more than welcome.

As a surf shop of the Quicksilver brand, whenever I have gone I found what I needed. From typical finger flip-flops to wax for surfboard of different temperatures or material for the table.

Sellers that cater generally know about the product and also surf, which is very important for this store.

I do not recommend doing the free longboard classes. The instructor, Eloi, is rude, rude, lacks empathy and manners, treats you like a thing and if you do not do what he says or what he expects of you take advantage of the occasion to mistreat and speak badly in both words and gestures . I have felt badly treated since the minute 1, with sarcastic comments, funny jokes and bad manners.

Eloi handed me a helmet that did not close properly. I did not have time to tell him anything that went very fast with the whole group in the direction of the place where he was skating. I had to make use of a boy who worked in the store who was helping me with the closing of the helmet and in the end he gave me another that did work. As they had already left, I had to go alone to the place of departure.

Upon arrival he asked me to stay behind, I explained and I saw clearly that it bothered him a lot since he started to grumble at the "bajini" but I clearly heard him say "yes, of course they have thrown a bomb when leaving and that is why we have run out and We have not waited for you. " I wanted to believe in that moment that he was saying it in jest (although it was a funny and distasteful joke), I decided to let it go and continue with the class.

His explanations were very limited especially for people who had never mounted a table and it is normal to go with fear, it bothered him a lot to have to repeat instructions and complained about it continuously, when I received almost no information. Very reluctantly I told you what you had to do, like throwing the quarrel and punishing plan. His airs of superiority were obvious and he treated people with very bad manners.

On one occasion when he called us, when not everyone came to the second where he was to give explanations, he said "if I'm going to have to punish you, eh ?!" . I'm sorry, but with 40 years I have these bullshit I can not stand it or playfully. I think a total lack of respect.

He was shouting at us and in bad manners, very nervous and aggressive. He treated me not as if I were people but something. "I already told you this" "is that you do not listen" ...

There was a moment that insulted me, he told me he was "chauvinist or something like that". He was speaking to me in English and I told him that I spoke Spanish and Catalan. And then he released that to me "yes, you're chauvinist, right?"

As he left, he shouted at me and demanded that he throw me down a very steep slope, the W. Hotel. As usual, I was afraid because it was my first time on a skateboard and I did not see it as adequate or safe to do something like that the first day. He came for me and demanded that I take his finger in very bad ways and had him pull me with him, although I told him that I did not think it was convenient, but he did not listen to me and he demanded that I do it. As I could not control the skate since I was totally inexperienced, he started shouting and grumbling "But what are you doing? Do not you listen or what? !! What did I say? he let go of me and continued grumbling, very very angry and complaining "It's scary, what a cloth, but what did I tell you?!"

I was very surprised of her reaction and decided to get off the skate and make the way to the store on foot as she was very upset. He approached me as if nothing and told me to get on the skate. I took courage and told him that he had treated me very badly, that those were not manners and that he was not going to climb the skate anymore, he had enough. He made me give me the skate and the helmet and not only did he have no empathy, since he did not apologize, he told me that the impolite was me and went to the store.

It has been a not bad experience but a terrible one. These types of individuals should not be dealing with people. No doubt Eloi lacks empathy, education and respect for the other.

I hope that my writing is attended by the management and I suggest that they do not have staff of this type giving classes, it is a danger in every way. Luckily I did not break anything or hurt me but it is clear that this person puts the safety of those who accompany him at risk.

DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE! On 07/09/20 I made an online purchase, on 07/16/2020 I received an email from the transport company Seur, that the order has been delivered, a week after that delivery I do not receive any information to withdraw my order, so I go to the store and call to find out if it is there, and they tell me that my order is not in the store. No one knows where it is, it is impossible to contact Quiksilver customer service and the shipping company. From the store "they can't help me" the transport company responds to everything with a tape recorder, you never get a person to attend you. A shame!!

Manager is inpolite, has no manners to treat neither staff not clients in an appropriate way. Doesn t even look at you if she stands in front of you at the cash desk so don t even expect a greeting. Store and staff is nice though. It compensates for the manager at least. Don t compare prices to quiksilver onlineshop: you re much better off buying online, it s even ridiculous for some products paying that much more in an offline store. After having made this experience I ll probably not pop by so often anymore and prefer online purchase - unfortunately.
