Bought 3 new semi vacs for 1.5 million western star trucks with westech trailers, they are a year and a half old as of jan 2016, going through our mechanical records we have noticed they require 4x the maintenance than our trucks from the 90's, just junk all round, cheap everything, hydraulic valve banks were changed after one week old all leaked, Rams leak... Everything! Anyway purchasing anything from them will come back to haunt you, oh and there only a year and half old so warranty right, you lose that the second you pay them, these 3 trucks alone have crippled our company

Now that they are owned by Federal Signal service is much better. They are very helpful and work hard to accommodate part needs. I've never had any trouble with them.

Better to stay away from this place. This company fired all good employees without any pay and screwed up many vendors !

What a disaster! Zero Customer service. When they realized that they did not have any used inventory to sell, they took a deposit on a unit that was sitting in a competitors yard on consignment. Confident that they could steal the deal from the competitor, they promised a better price, fresh inspections on both the truck and the Vac Tank and a quick turn around without consulting the consigee or the competitor. Once they had the deposit in hand they went around the competitor to the consignor and told them to pull the truck from the competitors yard because they have it sold. What a battle. The consignment was still in place for 80 days in the competitors yard, and this salesman JEFF(westech) had made huge promises based on virtually nothing. Refusing to return the $10,000 deposit he had taken on a unit that they had no rights too, the war began.

The only person who lost on this deal is the Customer trying to sell his Vac unit stemming from the false promises made by the sales team at Westech (Jeff). For all you Vac guys out there beware. Business' are build on service and not greed. Sad to see an establishment of this size behaving in such a dirty and unprofessional manner.
