Eidsiva rarely delivers what they promise. The speed of broadband is never what you pay for. There are often breaks in the services and they spend a long time fixing problems. They are bad at informing customers when errors occur in an area. (Maybe get a message 1/5 times there is a major breach) If you file a complaint, they will do nothing to help you. If you have had many problems then they will not compensate with anything. Their technicians are incompetent and seem uninterested in helping when something goes wrong. In short, customer service is lousy, services are low, and stability is not present.
If you can avoid Eidsiva Broadband then do it!

This winter I received an e-mail from Eidsiva stating that the excavation was postponed this spring due to tele in the ground. Now in March, when Covid-19 put in too full, I called to cancel. And today I received an invoice of NOK 9049 as a cancellation fee before installing Fiber. They should have $ 9049 for nothing. Is it possible?
We have several active and historical network connections with Eidsiva as supplier / subcontractor. They deliver on time and maintain decent quality. They are perceived as solution-oriented and adaptable when moving / changing needs. A small minus for some weak information flow towards the customer in connection with support inquiries.
Wanted to quit TV and downgrade to cheapest fiber package after Eidsiva "market-adjusted" its price by adding 30%. Then they don't answer, they send you out in a voicemail round dance and hang up (!) In the middle of the conversation. On their chat, they suddenly stop responding. I finally emailed customer service with a copy to the Director of Eidsiva, the Consumer Council and the User Complaints Board for electronic communications. That helped. Worth noting this instead of wasting time on the world's worst customer service.
Don't choose Eidsiva if you have other options. Incredibly junk customer service, they respond late or never to several of our inquiries. They lie and take no responsibility for their mistakes. We ordered fiber for our newly built house in November. They promised us a connection before Christmas. Right in the New Year, they said it will be in late February, and today we were told it might be summer. When we ask to speak to someone in charge, we do not get it. They refuse to tell us who in the organization has the case. This is how companies become monopoly ....
Not the most professional player on the market, but when you live in Vestre Toten you take what you get ..... Had a lot of problems with wireless network that came and went. Moved the home exchange farther away from the media converter then it got better. Most likely, the media converter noise so much that it disturbed. It got better anyway. There was also "greatest possible silence" along the way in the development process. Nothing seen and nothing heard from the seller went out the door until the technician stood on the door to agree on the placement of the box outside. But, but now it's in house and working, so we hope they will become professionals in the development process eventually. At least it is very good for the best guys in the class: Altibox :-)
Living in student-community, and there have only been internet problems since SINN decided to start using Eidsiva as a supplier.
There are constantly reports that "the matter is working" but we have had Eidsiva for countless months now and problems occur almost daily.
If you at Eidsiva do not have the skills or resources to maintain a stable network for so many students who are completely dependent on it, then I think you can stay far away.
The fiber network has been very stable. After several years of customer relations, the price is now suddenly shot up by 30% for so-called "market adjustment of prices". They think they are the only supplier in the area, but it may turn out that the last penny is expensive ... Steer clear if you have other options, as the pricing is very unpredictable.
Have both private and work. Absence of customer service, and sometimes poor quality. Installation does not take place within deadlines, no one responds etc.

Terrible internet, they never give out error messages when people are having problems. In addition, they have no kind of watch phone when the net is down. This company should be on the list of the worst companies in Norway.
Helpful business with apologies on everything. Waited soon for 3 months on the internet, and the only message they can give when you call to hear how the condition of mounting is, all they can say is that they pass on the message to the installer. If you are not happy to wait for 3 months on the damn Russian potato satellite network for this hobby shop, you have to pay off with 9k only to break the contract before the fiber is in the ground yet!
My little tip to you as a planning eidsiva: dont do it! Let the rating on google be an indication of the problem with this setup. But if you like to sit for months without the internet when they promise to fix the manhood again and again. so just go for it .....
Incredibly unstable network, which can sometimes remind more of the speed of an ISDN line than fiber. Be prepared for dejavu at the time when you have to wait for buffering.
I bought a brand new house built by Nordbohus. It was detached and completed in 2019. I moved in December 20, 2019. So I called Eidsiva to order Broadband Fiber with Altibox TV. When I call in November 2019 they say, you have to wait until spring for it to be dug ?. No it should not be excavated I say because I have bought a new detached house and the drawbar is right in to the wall. Ok I'll take this further says Eidsiva but you have to wait 7 to 12 weeks. I'm getting a little desperate. Weeks go and no information. I call and have to wait 20 minutes before I can speak to a client manager. No information. The weeks go by are approaching Christmas 2019. We move in December 20. Call Eidsiva but they know nothing. I say you said 7 to 12 weeks possibly faster as I have drawbar all the way to the wall ?. Yes we will see they say. After 8 weeks nothing happened. No information. I'm talking to the neighbor who moved in a few months before me. He laughs and says I was in the same situation. He tells me that it is GE that will blow the fiber that is Gudbrandsdalen energy. Eidsiva must place an order for GE. I call Eidsiva to tell you this. No, it's not that simple. Just waiting no one knows what's going to happen. So in January 2020 after talking to Eidsiva again I do the following. I even call GE. They tell me I'm not the first to experience this. So they say we will come tomorrow? After over 2 months of waiting and no information, something happens. GE will blow fiber. Today I have got fiber for my new detached house. Thank goodness for GE. What does Eidsiva think about ?. Such customer care I thought did not exist in Norway. You might expect this to happen in Russia. When I go to Google to read others who have used Eidsiva, I see that I am not alone in this treatment. They should take people seriously. Before, I have used Telenor and when you order it does not take long before they arrive. Disgraceful!!! Now I've got my optical fiber 500 up and 500 down. Waiting for Altibox and antennas so I get better speed throughout the house. Hope the continuation gets better than what I experienced when I booked.
As you write that you are proud of your community mission and proud of the job you are doing. Read the criticism and be proud of the response from there ... And then you increase the price of the products .. Listen to your customers, they are the ones who experience your services.
Called customer service many times in recent weeks. Problems watching TV on digital devices. Chops and freezes. No help and few, and they have never heard of similar problems. I see on this page that it is not right. Steer clear if you can !!!
Have had some problems with Eidsiva through. Have been connected at the wrong rate a couple of times, at times unstable adsl and vdls, but have had no problems after getting fiber. Now experience very stable network and good speeds. Had to terminate GET TV via Eidsiva due to unstable service
Signed contract to get fiber in December 2018, and they say it will be finished in April 2019. When April comes they say it is postponed to May, and then it should be finished. In June we are told that it will be postponed until December 2019. Ok. In November, I am told by Telenor that they will not give me the internet any more as of December 1st. I think it's going well, because then I have fiber, right? Neida, in December they say it is postponed to January 2020. Okay, a month without the internet sucks, but yeah. Just so you know there are no other vendors where I live either, so I have no other option but to wait. When January comes, they say it will be postponed to April 2020. A full year after the original time. I am now sitting at home and have been without internet for almost three months. This is too stupid. I have to pay 500 a month for 60 GB of 4g (the largest data package OneCall has) just to pay bills and watch 2 hours of Netflix every day ... If anyone has other options, they should choose them instead of having to be treated like eids.
The net is unstable and sometimes very slow. Eidsiva feels no responsibility to solve the problem for me. When you call customer support, the only advice you get is reset or restart. They deny that the problem may be on their side and tell me that there are probably "disturbing signals" in my household I cannot recommend Eidsiva Broadband
Incredibly poor stability, and you never get what you pay for. Many days you have to go without the internet. Pretty sure they're doing extreme throttling, which makes downloading and caching streams very slow. Called customer service several times, to no avail. Is not recommended!
Lousy internet, always some nonsense. Lousy service, customer service has put on the tube several times when I have called for support, does not respond to e-mail. Sitting often for 3-4 days without internet with Eidsiva.
Lousy service .. you order fiber and TV, (5000, - swindler installation) 8 weeks wait, I have to dig the cable myself, 35 mins work for the installer .. proved that TV point was not included in the 5000, - .. it would cost 1500, - extra per TV point. (Was recommended to buy equipment on car theme and do the job yourself by installer) Outer box should be mounted with the possibility of post insulation .. costs 3000, - extra as this did not work anyway .. Regret on bond and 17000, - for the first year of chaos.
Ordered fiber and was told that it is 7-12 weeks delivery time. Did not hear from them again, so contacted them in week 11. Received reply that they should pass it on to the contractor and that he should contact the homeowner. Are now on their way into week 13 and have not heard from them yet.
I can accept that they are unable to keep the delivery time. But not communicating about it in any way is completely unacceptable. And don't have to contact support either. Absolutely lousy, 0/5.
Lost internet suddenly, talked to customer service.They immediately saw where the error was, they were going to send a repairman, it could take 3-4 days.There came and fixed the error the next day.Very happy with the whole experience.Thanks
After reading some reviews, I begin to understand why problems being presented to customer service get no solution. I have used the Altibox app for a while and it worked fine. After restarting modem p.g.a. frozen TV picture, does the app no longer work? The problem is presented to customer service, which promises feedback without any action being taken to solve the specific problem that has arisen. After all the criticism in the reviews, does it seem strange that no one in management has bothered to read these?
If you had received 1 kroner every time there was a problem with the network, you would have made money on the subscription, because so many problems arise.
The speed is sometimes so slow that even opening Internet sites is an impossibility. Recently, these problems have been particularly noticeable as the network drops below 2 mbps several times every minute.
If you want to download movies, large files or video games, you should have good friends who let you use the web they have to download this. I left the computer to download a computer game during the night, and the next day the download had almost no way. Estimated time at the average speed I had during the night (when no one was using the fiber network) was a full 160 days.
If anyone else offers fiber networks then buy services from them instead. Eidsiva Broadband sells a product that is less efficient and useful than eating fork soup.
Not what I expected. Now there is an unstable network since we got fiber in August. Now we are offline for more than half a day, and it may be longer. Eidsiva will lose many customers at Neskollen now.
If you are considering eidsiva broadband for your home at all, you should really think about something else. it is 100% unprofessional, and the worst customer service i have experienced from anything, i have gotten better customer service at a beach shop in spain. I pay for 5 mb and 50 mb and every time I check it is anywhere from 500 kb to 3 mb / 20-40 mb. could really not have been more unhappy with anything. would much rather recommend telenor, they are professional and the customer service is very good.
Received several text messages from you that you have not received the decoder I returned to you and that I will be billed with a replacement fee and it has been sent a long time ago. So it's F if you get more unnecessary kr from me more than you do in months otherwise. Then next month will be the TV channels Gone because of being able to see everything else on sumo, Viaplay etc etc otherwise which is far cheaper and had it not been that you only get Eidsiva broadband in here then I would have shown F easily chosen another supplier. For the fiber here is worse than the usual 4G.
At times unstable network, and very expensive, now just increased from NOK 649 month to NOK 839 month "to continue the development of our services and build fiber broadband for even more" as they wrote.
Chat with them. Took up an unfortunate practice with them. Instead of answering what I asked about, took the customer advisor and ended the conversation with the usual "Thank you for contacting. Have a nice day :)"
Must be the world's worst line. An absolute nightmare to use for anything other than surfing websites ... terribly unstable. This is cave dwelling technology. Incompetent customer service who can do nothing but admit how miserable it is. Overpriced rubbish.
Not satisfied with the technical solutions I got as a new customer .. Many problems along the way when I had to become a new customer of Eidsiva Broadband. If I could have switched supplier items to canal digital then I would have done it immediately. Poor service, incompetent staff, poor technical solutions in wireless routers. Inability to solve my challenges.
Cannot consider the services of Eidsiva Broadband, only sellers and customer service.
Approached by selling in January 2016 that was to check whether there was enough households in residential trips that would have fiber so that they could start the development. Since I lived in bedsit apartment, so enlightened seller that I could terminate the contract at no cost when there are special rules for single rooms (since it is separate binding agreement for legal landlord). For your knowledge answers landlord present when the seller explained and assured me (us) that my contract could be terminated at no cost if I moved before signals were delivered. At the end of February we received a text message that there was fiber development, one work that will start between April and September 2016. Now in March I announced relocation and sent termination (on a service that was not yet delivered or active subscription) . Eidsiva Broadband then manages to send me one notice of breach of contract and a bill of 2990, - Then contact customer service (Wednesday), who answers the phone very quickly. Explains the case and agreements with the client manager to send me the case number on my inquiry. I do not get any case number ... Calls again the following day (Thursday), calls for case number and gets to talk to a customer service agent who was more service minded (he sent case number on SMS while we talked). He stated that it looked like the seller had registered my contract incorrectly, not as "multiple contract" (with free cancellation if moving before signals are delivered), but registered it as normal contract. The client manager would talk to their bosses and call me back. He called back the same day, but informed him that he had not talked to his bosses, but would call me again on Friday. Then it became completely quiet from Eidsiva, not a sound! On Wednesday I called them again and got to talk to a new customer manager. She looked in the matter who I had spoken to on the Thursday before and that he was at work now, so she was going to go over to him and let them know that he would call me. Unfortunately, and not surprisingly anymore, I haven't heard one beep from him or others from customer service. The case has not been resolved as of March 18, 2016 - so the case is still ongoing.
Moved to a new house in December and had ordered the reopening of the fiber. Discovered that the previous owner had brought router and power adapter. Got ordered this one morning (got it for free) and during a day later it was waiting for me at the post office. Then discovered that the fiber box was dead and called again to get a fitter, we also got this for free and he could come on the day. Great follow-up to how things went with us. It's wonderful service, one gets the feeling that they care about you as a customer. Good speed on the web, I love getting AltiBox and am very happy with everything. This is really worth the price increase I have read many react. Eidsiva is worth the money :)
