I was very happy with my experience. Ryan Almiranez contacted me right away, was very pleasant to talk to, and answered all of my questions. I am happy that he quickly worked with the other insurance involved and that my claim was accepted the same day.

Not convenient. But, maybe it is our broker(?) The delay to get a COI is unacceptable. Some insurance companies have websites where you merely login to your own account, then choose your policy number, and type in the name address etc of the certificate holder etc. Someone calls you to confirm the details. They will produce your COI within 24 hrs. You will get in email.

Alton was so easy to deal with! I got rear ended and although it took a while to fix my car, it wasn t because of the service from 1st Insurance, and I had a loaner the whole time that they took care of! I was very happy that I had first insurance as my insurance company!!!

Alton was absolutely wonderful! He was easy to work with, paid attention to detail, and followed up. Service was speedy, as well. He set up the body shop to fix my car, as well as set up the car rental. He always encouraged me to call should I have questions or need help. My bad experience of being hit was made much more palatable because of Alton. I highly recommend him.

Sereenna Noddings was so rude. I m not sure if she was having a bad day or what but her customer service was very unprofessional.

I ve had multiple policies with First Insurance for about 8 years. I will be contacting my agent and requesting a change to another company that actually values their customers.

Sereenna needs to be retrained.

Being in an accident is very stressful. I m so happy with how I was treated by Alton and first insurance. Alton Porlas was always very available, responded quickly to any communication and was so reassuring and helpful during the entire process of getting my car fixed. I felt well taken care of and supported and all details were explained well during the entire situation. I m glad I feel happy with my insurance company....you never know until you need them how well they will perform. Everyone was professional,pleasant and helped lessen the stress considerably. Beware of parking prices. Though there are Strab ...

Beware of parking prices. Though there are Strab doctors there, the parking does NOT price their parking the same. A lot of signs in these offices have Strab parking prices but doesn't First Insurance parking prices. I have brought this to several people that work there but nothing has been done to inform patients.

I chose them for my commercial insurance due to their reputation as affordable and great customer service. I was recently rear ended and the insurance agents/adjusters were all super helpful kind and very on it with follow up calls and making things happen! I was incredibly impressed! I had no wait times on the phone to make my claim and the lady who took my info was sooo sweet!

AVOID THIS INSURANCE COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

I had water damage due to my air conditioning unit and rain and it took 2 months for these guys to let me know that nothing is covered and I m stuck with the costs due to wording in the policy. It s one thing that I m getting screwed and have to pay..but I can live with that..it s their poor customer service, inability to call back and update or check-in that made me furious. Below I have a timeline I kept showing how poor their service is and particularly the adjusting agent Andre Gordon. I d give 0 stars if it was possible.

Water damage occurred on 10/11/19

First call from Andre (voicemail) on 10/17/19

Supposed to come over on 10/25/19 to view place. I had to reschedule due to family. Andre was suppose to call me Monday/following week. I never heard back from him.

Next call back (voicemail) on 11/18/19 after not hearing from him since the last phone call

I ended up calling him during thanksgiving weekend and left a voicemail for him to try and schedule him to come by. His voicemail said he d be out of office until the Monday after thanksgiving. He called me back mid week and we were able to schedule him coming over to take some photos and inspect (believe date was 11/29/19)

I didn t hear back after that. Called and left him a voicemail on 12/2/19 after getting more calls from extraction company regarding payment. His voicemail said again he was away until the following Monday. I never received a call back from him.

I called today 12/11/19 and he actually answered and proceeded to tell me sorry things are covered due to the wording of the policy saying surface water was not covered.

Alton Porlas handled my comprehensive claim with professionalism, and quickness. I filed my claim, and the same week I was able to get my car into the shop, and was set up with a rental. I was able to put my 100% trust in First Insurance, that my claim would be handled painlessly.

I was involved in rear-ended accident. The at-fault party's insurance was rental car company. I thought I could handle without involvement of our insurance claim adjuster. The rental car company took 3 weeks and sent the check for amount a lot less than the appraisal's recommendation. At this point, I called First Insurance to file the claim. The same day, Alton called me at 4:30 which is closed office hour. He was so helpful in recommending body shop and rental car arrangement. Everything went so smooth! Much appreciation for such whole-hearted service by Alton

This review is for Ryan Almiranez of First Insurance Co. He recently handled a claim for me after getting rear ended. I know sometimes it can be a lengthy and tedious process but Ryan kept me in the loop through it all. He gave me updates through out, provided a list of repair shops and coordinated with all involved parties in addition to using easy to understand instructions. He was professional, prompt and friendly from beginning to end! Thanks Ryan!

Ryan was so great to work with. His client hit my car, but Ryan at First Insurance treated me like his most valued customer. What I liked best were his fast, honest, and helpful responses to my questions, and how he carefully and effectively guided me through the whole process of getting my car repaired and a rental for me during that time. This week my auto insurance company was involved in an unexpected incident claim about my van. Very fortunately, I had an excellent work experience with both the Adjuster CJ and the inspector Joe. They both were extremely professional, efficient and responsive. They also provided clear explanation on each step of the claim process and they were always very patient with the customers. They made this investigation process easy and painless for their customers. They also concluded it with a fair and just decision. I will highly recommend these two fine gentlemen to take care of anyone's insurance claims.

When things go wrong and you need your insurance, you would expect a company to only help you with what you paid them to do. That's until I met Alton. This was our first major accident. Alton treated us with respect and caring. He went out of his way to provide valuable advice that saved us hundreds of $$$ and helped us determine what to do, step by step. It's was stressful, but he always responded to my emails/phone call in less than two hours. Always asked how we were doing and he made me feel like I was talking to a friend and not an adjuster that I never met. He answered the dozens of questions I had and he closed our claim by providing solid advice to help us if a similar situation ever happened again. Thank you Alton!!!

I m typically very hard to impress and I would never rate a company with 5 stars unless the company was deserving. However, FICOH has earned my trust and I will forever remain as a loyal customer after my first automobile collision.
Reid F., Daniel K. and Jason O. were incredible in the way they took care of the details of my accident. Not only were all agents knowledgeable in their field, they were also incredibly detail oriented and explained all aspects in a clear manner.
I was kept apprised of my situation at all times.
All agents/reps were empathetic and compassionate, and made me feel like I was their priority despite their busy work load.
No complaints here!

Our car was parked on the street and got hit by so...

Our car was parked on the street and got hit by someone. We couldn't identify who. We called the first insurance and they said we had to contact the Ford company to get estimate. We contacted Ford who didn't care to help. So we contacted local shop. The cost for the damage was $9,000 and the First insurance said they don't care, it wasn't their responsibility. They will not help the cost of damage. I am not sure why we have to pay for the insurance that don't cover anything, not even a dime. Customer service sucks. No help from the agent. We cancelled all insurance we had with them. DO NOT use them, they won't help you.

The worst insurance ever! I would never recommend this insurance to my worst enemy. They are so unreliable. They don't return their calls they refuse to pay their claims even after the courts order that they are responsible. Put families in stress and hardship in trying times. Very very SAD!

This insurance company is horrible. My vehicle was rear ended by a semi truck covered by this company on Jan 23. It's now April 9 and I'm finally getting my vehicle back. The adjuster was unresponsive and I had to keep on asking about getting my vehicle fixed. After finally getting a response I wasn't given a rental so was down a vehicle while it was being repaired. Horrible company and I hope you don't get in an accident with someone covered by this company.

Our comprehensive auto insurance really came in handy this time. A wind storm caused extensive superficial damage to the exterior of my vehicle. Nohea expedited our claim quickly and was always gracious and easy to get a hold of. First insurance covered the damages and help to restore my 2016 Nissan Titan truck to new quality while providing a rental truck for the downtime. Thank you!

I am currently filing a claim with this company and i am very disappointed with the agent that's helping me through it. She doesn't answer her business phone everytime i call her during business hours. I call and call and call but no answer so i leave voicemails. A week later she finally calls me back same thing with emails. Last time we talked before i could even say a word she rushed talking to me and said "okey dokey bye bye now"...smh. So much for great customer service huh? Very unprofessional, very rude and unfriendly. I know there are some good people working there but people like her ruins their image. Look for another insurance company people.

I would look elsewhere for business insurance. When I called to submit a claim, the receptionist on the mainline gave me several excuses why they didn't call us back. She also talked down to me (condescending) as to imply I was impatient and displeased. This is the least helpful customer service I have ever received from any insurance carrier. We will be shopping for another carrier.

Alton called immediately up upon being assigned our claim and continued to follow up with us throughout the repair of our vehicle including a follow up call after our vehicle was returned from the autobody shop.

It is now 6 months later and we are still without hot water and walls and are still waiting for the repair work to be done. The insurance company keeps telling us they are waiting for bids. Almost a year into our claim of a total loss, the company decides that they will scam hard working mortgage paying customers out of their policy and not pay up for what they owe to rebuild this house, pay demolition and other additional coverages. PLEASE READ YELP REVIEWS of real customers. It is a shame that this company is still allowed to provide insurance coverages while scamming and profiteering from hard earned people s monies only to leave them hanging after a disaster. They don t want to pay to rebuild total replacement cost for our home that was totally burnt down during a house fire...this company is immoral.. sad sad sad...

Please don't waste your time with this company. They are unreliable, unresponsive, and overpriced. Not to mention there is a substantial cancellation FEE (which they do not tell you about).. So they suck money out of you even after you leave. Also, the quote they give you over the phone is inaccurate - I saw an enormous increase once my first bill came. Easily the worst insurance company I've ever had.

My experience with a hit and run incident started slow because we didn't know who hit my car. Once that was resolved there was thorough full through from Alton, periodic checkups, my rentacar was there and I would rate the service excellent.

Agree with the 5 star comments. Alton was an awesome person to work with, very prompt in responding phone calls and email. I had 2 claims that occurred about a month apart and although the first claim was assigned to another adjuster Alton processed both claims in a very expeditious manner.

My claim was a hit and run...Jody Aki, Associate Adjuster was very easy to work with, friendly and efficient. She also took the time to educate me on the process of getting my car repaired. Pearlridge Fender completed the repairs before the estimated 8 business days originally quoted and Enterprise Rent A Car was also very friendly and efficient. Thank you to all!!
