I have lived here for 2 years and I'm about to renew my lease for the 3rd time. I love this place. Very clean, quiet, nice, affordable and excellent amenities and staff! I live in a 2 bedroom/2 bath and I've had friends comment on how big and spacious it is! Huge master bedroom and bath, and having a patio is nice.

I honestly can't think of any negative thing to say about Knobs Pointe. The only problem I have ever had was my dishwasher was leaking and I call them and 2 days later I had a brand new one installed. They always call you and ask to enter your apartment any time they need too (for pest control, fix something, or general maintenance.)

The view at night of downtown Louisville can't be beat. Great view of Thunder Over Louisville!

I can't recommend this place enough! Affordable, huge and quiet!

You know.. after hearing all these horror stories about this place... you guys have no idea! Yes there were a few things wrong when we first moved in.. but the maintenance men came running.. they fixed everything right away... and there were even things that the guys caught that we didn't even notice! They have done an awesome job taking care of us since the second we moved in! We came from a place where NOTHING ever got fixed.. where NOTHING ever got taken care of even though I paid my rent ON TIME for 2.5 years!!! So far I love this place!!! The guys that come in to fix things are very professional and make you feel at ease while they are working! Thank you Danielle, Tom, and all the other maintenance crew that I didn't catch the name of! We feel at home here and feel very taken care of!!!

I have lived here for a year and just renewed my lease. Nicest people in the office. Karen, April and Danielle. Maintenance is quick to get things repaired. Simon, Thomas and Oscar are awesome! They are very professional and very polite. Fixed my problems in my apartment quickly! A few things on hold, waiting for parts to come in. But I know when the parts arrive, it will be taking care of. This is a safe place to live, which is very important to me. Love the landscaping here also.

This is a decent place to live before buying a house. Maintenance is also really fast about getting stuff done. Office staff are friendly. The only things I don't like would be parking, which there is a lot of parking it is just difficult to actually get a spot at the building we live in and have to park awhile away. The other thing would be the wasp and bees around the patio other than that it's great I plan to sign another lease when the time comes.

We have lived here over a year now and we love it! Like older apartments it has a few quirks - but the good news about that is every time we ask management about anything you have issues with they are very quick to help and never spin it around on you - yes, that happened with our last place. It was awful. Management is super friendly and maintenance is very quick to respond. Get past the age of the buildings and a few of the quirks and you'll realize you have a place that truly feels like home!

Everything the previous reviewers said is true! I've been there 4years and they raise rent every year, they threaten you, and the management staff is rude as hell. I have had a hard time moving because they require a sixty day notice but other places will only hold for 30. I'm sure they set it up that way on purpose. They have major mold issues, and in some buildings the fire detection system is so outdated, boiling water will set off the alarms for the entire building. They are not kid friendly at all, it seems they would rather have drug dealers than families with kids. Just don't do it to yourself

I moved in 2/15 and haven't had much to complain about! The issues I've ran into have all been small and when a big one happened (air conditioner went out) maintenance was on it and we had a new one the next day! The apartments are very spacious which is a huge plus! The staff has been great, I have worked mostly with Danielle and have loved her! They all are very helpful though in my experience with them. When I did bring small issues I was having to the staffs attention I received a phone call right after leaving the office from Danielle where she stated multiple times that we were valued tenants and she wanted to do everything she could to help with the problems so that we could be happy with our living situation. I have not had any major things wrong with the apartment and plan to sign another lease when mine is up! Reading these other reviews that are bad have really shocked me because I have not ran into any of the issues others have, I highly recommend these apartments!

My 3 star rating is only because I was in an apartment that hadn't been renovated, so the kitchen and bathrooms showed their age. I lived there for three years and saw the difference when the new management took over and everything started improving. All the windows and exterior doors were replaced. Maintenance requests were handled quickly and issues were resolved. The office staff are very pleasant and helpful and encourage people to stop in and get to know them. They started having events for the residents, the pool stays open longer, the fitness center is available 24/7 with a key card. Lots of improvements over the past year and half. You can tell they honestly want to develop long term relationships with their residents. And I believe that as they are able to do the upgrades it will be a place worth staying long term. I left because I purchased a house.

The condensation from our ac unit pipe leaked into the dry wall in the ceiling. making the ceiling fall above our sink which had black mold growing in it they come out cut one section out and taped plastic over the hole and said we will have to make a appointment for the next week to come take the cabinets down and the dry wall out. they just taped plastic over the hole and said we would be fine even tho it is in the duct work for our ac vents I asked them if I could get move to another apartment or get out of my lease cause I did not want to live in a apartment that has black mold they told me they didn't have any more apartments and that we could not get out of our lease even tho black mold can kill you they will not help us at all do not rent for them

Although they have put a great effort into restoring the place the low quality residence remain. It is full of drug dealers and want to be thugs. Theft is a common occurrence and God forbid you have anything nice in your vehicle. It will be stolen by the ones you see everyday who aren't at work the are stooped up on their porches drinking 40s which they bought with things they stole and Im assuming forgetting their belts in the house. Even the kids are trashy. Young teenage girls dressed less than appropriate are running around yelling obscenities at each other which is a behavior I assume they learned from their parents. There is a college nearby so PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR FRESH OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL CHILDREN ATTEMPT TO LIVE WITH COMMON TRASH. Maybe one day if they can raise their prices they can drive away some of the less desirables. But im sure they will still come around to get their fix of drug dealing and thievery. If you do sign a lease bring a gun and please dont be afraid to use it no one else around here is. And plus you might get applauded by some of the actual hard working residence for cleaning up

So we moved in these apartments in January and they were infested with bed bugs... the good news is that they took care of the problem, LAST WEEK!!! We have called about them throughout the year at least 14 times. Not to mention the 5 other maintained problems we've had. They are terrible apartment owners and you would expect with the amount of crap that they put us through they would let us off our lease, I'm not even asking for my deposit back, but they won't. They are stubborn and I see people post on Facebook about how they want to live here and I warn them!!! I will never let any of my friends, aquantances, or enemies live here! I don't want these apartment managers to make any money off people I know because you are stuck in a lease that you will respect but they will not! I have even talked to corporate and they are NO BETTER! Be warned: DON'T LIVE AT BRG APARTMENTS!!!!

I'm a 24 year old single guy who lived at Knobs Pointe for about 8 months while working in Louisville. It really was an "OK" experience. My 1 bed 1 bath was adequate. Not falling apart, but not pristine either. The price was very affordable, but because of that, the quality of neighbor wasn't always the best. That being said, I never felt unsafe. The building manager who lived in my building was very nice. I never had any maintenance issues, but I feel like they would've been quick to help. The employees in the maintenance office were also very nice. I'd still recommend living on the Kentucky side of the river, but if you're dead set on Indiana, Knobs Pointe isn't a bad option.

Only been here a short while, but from what I see, it is a great place to live. I've had no trouble with neighbors, it's very quiet here. Maintenance is friendly and efficient. Maintenance orders can on occasion get overlooked, but they're very good about getting it done once you remind them about it.

We didn't read the reviews but fortunately Karen in the office was so rude we didn't get an apartment. The place seemed nice but I believe the reviews about mold. The one we were shown had a heavy musty smell and I commented that we would need a dehumidifier or air purifier to live there. We basically gave them a couple hundred dollars for an application fee because I don't think they had an apartment ready for us anyway. And they can turn you down for made up reasons.

Do not fall for the pre-leasing trap. They told me that I would not get to see the apartment until I moved in because they were such a popular complex that everyone preleased. The carpet throughout the whole apartment was pulled up along the edges and corn and some places along the edges. There was water damage by the wate do not fall for the pre-leasing trap. And the tub in the first bathroom was completely discolored and disgusting. Not to mention the shelves in the kitchen cabinets were loose and not intact. This apartment complex is a complete joke. The office looks nice and seems great in the pictures. But if they are telling you that you have to pre-lease and that you can t see your apartment don t let them take your deposit. They said they cannot give me my deposit back, they have to mail it out and it could take up to a week or two. So now I have to go find another apartment when I don t even have my deposit. Also I spoke to a neighbor in the building that I would be living in, and he said the people that moved out of my would be apartment had to move out because of the black mold and that they moved them to an apartment across the street but made them finish paying for the apartment with black mold in the new apartment they were moving into. If I could give this apartment complex zero stars I would! What was hilarious to me wasWhen I went back to speak with the office personAbout all of the issues, she addressed everything but the black mold in the ceiling falling down and the carpet. I will try to find a way to post photos, this apartment complex should maybe charge $500 for a two bedroom apartment!

I am rating this a three star.
I have lived at Knobs Pointe for almost a year, and here is what I have found.
1. I have not had any issues with the staff themselves. They have always been polite, understanding, agreeable, and friendly. This is for the office staff and the maint. staff. Actually, the Maint. staff is amazing. I think that the changes that have been working to make since this company took over the complex are great. I see the effort, and I feel their pain with what they are stuck with....
Unfortunately....
2. The apartments... are a hot mess. As much as I like the staff, who have always tried to address the issues in my apartment (and there have been MANY), the apartments are horrible! The floors are so uneven that you get dizzy walking down the hallway. My tub sits almost a full foot below the level that my toilet does, which has caused my son to hurt his ankle on several occasions. I cannot bake anything in the oven because the kitchen floor is so uneven that everything bakes to one side. I am on the bottom floor, I have seen the apartments above me, and I have it good compared to their floors! There are constantly bugs everywhere. No matter how many time I spray and bomb, and no matter how many time the apartments come out to do it... EVERYWHERE! I went over a month with holes in my counter tops while the staff argued with contractors (They were installed properly and look great now), I went 3 weeks without a dishwasher while waiting for a new one to be provided (But they gave me a brand new one). I have to place boxes on the sides of my washer and dryer to keep them from knocking into the walls (uneven floors again). My electric bill has never been under $180, and even after the windows and doors were replaced, it has been over $300 the last two months (This is about $100 more than I paid living in a 4 BR house with 6 adults, 2400 SQFT, and it is now just myself and my son). There are a lot of drugs here. My kids are older teenagers and have told me on several occasions that "KP" is where all the kids at school get their drugs. "Everyone knows that". Im not a fan of the fact that through the school year the high school kids used my back yard to stage all their fights (which I had to call the cops for several times).
My furnace has broken five times. The thermostat has been replaced three times, and the last time they had to replace the regulator, or motherboard... but it has been a nightmare. They were always in there fast to get it fixed, but it was annoying. When I moved in, I went two weeks without being able to take a shower because both of my bathrooms had bad pipes. The walls had to be ripped out, pipes replaced, and new tile and drywall installed. Sucked, but it was dealt with quickly, and the maint staff got the walls back up in record time. They had to come do some resealing, but it was minor.
3. This is the worst thing for me! You share hot water with the whole building. If you are ever in a hurry, and need a shower, you might as well forget it. I get up in the morning at 6:15, just to turn the hot water on. Then I go out, take the dog out, get some coffee, maybe some toast... and THEN I come back to see if the water is hot. you never know... sometimes its 2 minutes, but more often it takes 10 to 20 minutes to get hot water (this is NOT an exaggeration! I have timed it)

I see that the new management is doing everything that they can to make improvements. They have replaced hallway carpetting/floors, doors and windows in every apartment, and a lot of changes to the grounds. The sad thing is that it is probably too late. They would have to knock down most of these buildings (Im shocked some of them meet code at all), and completely gut the rest in order to make these apartments worth what you pay. The rent is reasonable, but you have to consider the utilities, and the things you will have to deal with in the apartment.

Staff gets a 5 star from me...
Apartment gets one star.

I made the mistake and never read any reviews on the web about this place. Been all over the USA and grew up right here in southern Indiana. These apartments have to be the worst I have lived in. There is absolutely NO parking, you can hear everything your neighbors are doing which means they can hear you, theft is terrible here, and the people they draw in are just down right worthless. I have had a package stolen by drug dealing neighbors who kept dealing drugs in parking lot and the police did NOTHING! My sister had her car broken into, and everyone speeds, so if you have kids its best to not even consider this place. Also, the new lease you sign says that YOU are responsible if you get infested with bed bugs, which I thought was illegal. The windows are 40 years old and your electric bill will be insanely high. The list goes on and on, so please do not rent here, you will regret it like I have.

I visited and I saw breaking federal guidelines for handicap people, none accessible. Maintenance its not keep. While property is a wonderful lay out, The place is getting run down, black mold is still an issue in units. mailboxes are not labeled adequately. The staffing while they are kind, the property management is money hungry. People asking for larger space due to lack of maintenance, foundations cracking in some buildings, leaking when it rains yet would not fix, nore offer upgrade at same price is inhumane. Treating paying customers in this fashion sends the message that they are not valued. Some units have not hot water, nor pressure to wash dishes. Dishwashers need to be checked. While i know maintain can be costly it needs to be done. Carpets need to be replaced every 5 years since federal housing does it, it should be done. I see people living here past 5 years carpet, flooring damage, walls caving in yet not fix. This then becomes safety issue, and lawsuit material. All people need to feel safe and should feel wanted to be there.I pray the owners of property put more time and invest in there asset of a property.

I have lived here for about six months, and like all of the others I failed to read the reviews. These apts are horrible. When we first moved in, they showed us the nicest apt out here, and then gave my boyfriend and I an apt that's looks a lot different than the nice one. Not saying that our apt isn't nice. Its beautiful, but everything else ruins it. The buildings are horrible and they are crawling with bugs. On the 17 of July, our air went out, turns out it was the a/c box outside. It was suppose to be fixed in 4 days, Which was the 21st of July. They didn't fix it until the 12th of August. They only discounted us $100 which still left us with $450. Calculate that, 26 days w/o air. That bad thing about that is the little window unit they gave us ran my electric bill up to $321 for a one bed room apt. So when I had went to the office to find out if they would discount my rent for the 26 days I didn't have air, they informed me I was up for eviction for not paying them rent for the month I didn't have air!!!! The office nor maintenance know how to do their job nor do they have any desire to. They have let most of them go, and they keep replacing them w/the same kind of lazy people. Then bc the maintenance failed to do their job, you are blamed bc you didn't stay on them everyday until someone finally did it right. I DONT RECOMMMEND THESE APTS TO ANYBODY AT ALL. YOU CAN DO A LOT BETTER!!!

Update!

My biggest regret is giving BRG an opportunity after a friend told me to run when they took over 5 years ago.

I do not recommend this as a great place to live.

My rent has increased the last two years. Unlike other units I have not received a paint job or new cabinets. Also, BRG decided to in the middle of everyone's lease to charge us for gas, a monthly fee for our water bill, and other charges. I am now paying $50 more than before.

I live in a 1 bedroom apartment that's not even 1,000 sq feet and pay over $700 to live here. This is only BRG's fees.

The office rep, Angel, is the worse! Her attitude is terrible. I had a conversation with her. She hung up after I told her that I heard her. I am not sure why she wanted to repeat herself. I spoke with her again. Upfront I told her that I am not mad at her; however, I had a lot of questions. She gave me an attitude and told me I can complete a Google search to my questions because she doesn't know. I am not sure how she can work at a facility and don't know corporate office's phone number. I have escalated her behavior to the office manager who only defends her. The office manager states it's draining to have tenants consistently call in complaints and they take it out on you when it's not your fault. Well, don't take it out on me when other tenants are rude to you.

A few months ago I returned from an out of town trip. My bathroom had a back up. I called the emergency maintenance line. The rep stated he figured something happened and it's not his responsibility to check. I asked why no one called. He said maintenance doesn't have access to tenants' phone numbers. The office manager confirmed maintenance doesn't.

I loved my previous shower. There was an issue with the handle. Their contractor replaced my entire shower. The contractor told me that he had no idea what he is doing. Now, my shower is moldy all the time.

They replaced my door for security reasons 2 years ago. They didn't bother to paint. I've been complaining for years to have this fixed. I've received empty promises.

About 8 months I called to check if I am eligible to renew my lease to get attitude without answering my question. This occurred for about a month.

One time there was an unknown man knocking on doors asking tenants "if there's anything we need." I called the office to ask if they're having their team knock doors to check on us. The office member told me they are not and asked me if I could open my door and give her a description of the man. I advised her that I am not jeopardizing my safety. Then, she proceeded to yell at me.

Water has been turned off for long periods of time (12 hrs) several times in the last few months without a notification from maintenance. I left voicemails several times without maintenance calling back.

I paid rent online. I know what I put in. I was charged more than what I entered. The office and BRG corporate told me there's no way this could happen, didn't look into the situation and refused to refund me the difference. They gave me account credit. I don't recommend the use of the online portal.

It is also difficult to speak with anyone in person. Their hours are M-F 9:30-5:30. No weekends or holidays.

Ive only been here a few months but I love my old apartment. It is very spacious and for the price!! Haven't had any issues so far and I am on the tree line so it's very peaceful. The only thing that can be tricking is the parking area by my building. And it's strange there are no sidewalks throughout the complex. But other than that I love it here!!

I have lived here for almost a year and this was the biggest mistake i could have made in my life. They have no management structure at all and their maintenance is a joke none of them are certified for their job and they will fight with you while they are off. The "management" is rude and only worry about the rent and not getting the stuff fixed that you ask for. They are always rude when you call and are not helpful at all. The buildings are trashy and ALWAYS have trash and cig butts outside, your neighbors are two faced and wanna be ghetto nasty people that are also rude they do drugs party all night and we have seen drug deals. They do not know how to do upkeep on the buildings or the pool or anything. You can never park by your building because other people have so many guest and car that you have to park two or three buildings down. They have bugs and do not know how to get rid of them. People will steal from you mess up your things and hit your car. When you call the office there is only 3 people that you can talk to and they do not care and there is no way to get a hold of Bluestone Proprieties which is the company that owns knobs pointe. I could keep going on and on about the problems. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

This apartment is full of people who vadalize your property, kids all hours outside, Older kids introduced my son to drugs. There are people who sell Meth out of their apartments. The children go down the trails and drink and smoke pot or cigarettes, the whole build was infested with roaches. Also, it says no aggressive breeds there are pitbulls everywhere (which I love pitbulls) but this one resident had a very aggressive pitbull off its leash, it ran and tackled my dog down shaking it by the neck and the man had to punch the dog several times to get the dog off my dog. The pro to the apartment, and only pro is that they are large. Also there has been several fires and buildings have burned down to the ground. the fronts of the buildings look good but if you go to the back of the buildings that are the 3 br buildings, the balconies that face the trees are literally falling off the building. my electric failed I had paid my bill nothing was working, lights were flashing, I reported it and they said I need a new electrical box..it took two days. I was without a/c in August in 100 degree weather..turns out when the specialist came to fix it it was arching and about to catch fire if it wasnt changed, the maintenance that came before him never knew that. Also, They maintenance will come in your home break your property and not reimburse you through your rent!! Its terrible.

It's not a bad place to live at all! We have lived here now for 2 years, and everything is fairly quiet on the left side of the complex. I've heard many stories about cars and apartments getting broken into regularly on the right side of the complex, but our car has only been broke into twice and we only had one attempted robbery to our apartment, so that's not so bad in contrast! Also, waking up everyday and having the view of the woods is so refreshing. Plus, maintenance is top-notch with keeping the grounds kept and helping residents because they one time came at 2 in the morning to fix our door knob after it had finally broke on us trying to get into our apartment (it had been messed up from the time we moved in until then, but we got a brand new door handle after that!). All in all, as long as you always make an effort to keep your car/apt doors locked at all times, have all valuables locked away and out of sight, and live on the left side of the mailboxes, you should be in excellent shape for living in all that is New Albany, IN. Four out of five stars!

-The office support are terrible and quick to tell you whatever you want to hear to shut you up. They told us for 7 months we'd be getting new windows until they were finally installed.
-Maintenance guys are friendly, but they can only do the bare minimum. They hate the management office also so they feel bad for us when we have reoccuring issues, but it's hard to deal with.
-If you're on the first floor, expect a LOT of plumbing issues. Our toilets, sinks and tubs have all backed up with literal sewage because according to the office, people on the 2nd and 3rd floors flush away whatever they feel like, and as a result it gets backed up on the first floor since it has no where else to go.
-HIGH energy bills in the winter. With our new windows we're hoping it'll be cheaper, but last winter (2013/2014) we were paying about $350 a month with the heat only set at 69.
-Flooding is normal when it rains if you live on the 1st floor
-A lot of people have sketchy neighbors, I personally got lucky with our surrounding families but I have definitely seen some shady characters. I've never felt unsafe, but it would be wise to invest in renters insurance.
-Thin walls and cheap materials, both my toilet paper holder AND bathroom door handle have broken off
-Lots of bugs and little critters, and we keep our apartment very clean. They just come in through the walls and from neighboring units.

The Good
-State Street has almost anything you would need
-Laundry mat close by and reasonably priced
-Rent is cheap, but you are getting what you pay for
-Parking is almost never an issue

Long story short it's not the worst place in the world but very close. If you can at all, save some money in your budget and rent a nicer place.

I live in a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment here. I am moving out in 2 weeks, thankfully. When we first moved in, everything was great! We had an outlet go out and it was fixed in no time. The only downside from when we moved in is that the walls were already cracking. That happens with age so whatever, we don't plan on staying here forever anyways. BUT my roommate has NEVER had hot water in her bathroom sink. When spoken to Danielle, she asked "is this really a necessity?" If I am paying to live here, then, yes, I expect to have hot water in my bathroom sink! This past August, our A/C stopped working. Our apartment was 80-85 degrees EVERY DAY. We kept calling and calling the office and they came and looked at our unit. They said there was nothing wrong with it and that they just needed to get on the roof and clean whatever off? I was like oh okay well I need that to be done because I have pets who cannot live in this kind of heat. My dog needs a place to cool off. They did not clean the roof off. It took them a week to bring us a plug-in cooler that had to go in one of the bedrooms. They said it'd cool off the whole apartment. It didn't. It barely cooled off one room. We kept calling. It took them a whole other week to finally clean the roof off. It worked, thankfully, but me and my pets should have NEVER had to live in an 80-85 degree apartment! My roommate and I are in a nonsmoking apartment. New people below us smoke so now the master bedroom constantly smells like cigarette smoke. Apparently there is nothing they can do, besides, I don't know, keep the smokers and non smokers in separate building!?

Don't move there. Maintenance sucks. Its old. The people that live there are racist. They just want your money. It is not worth what they are asking for in rent. The floors are uneven. You can hear your neighbors through the floor and ceiling. No cable connection in bedroom. You can't have access to the circuit breaker. What they show you is nothing like the apartment you will be living in. Listen to the bad reviews, they are telling the truth.

Look, just don't do it. All the reviews are true about the management. Getting management do to anything is impossible. It's easier to fly a kite with a hole in it basically. We had a pipe bust in our bathroom and management sent the plumber 3 days later. They finished fairly quickly and put new pipes in, but didn't put up new drywall. The humongous hole in the wall wasn't fixed for 3 weeks and the giant bathroom mirror (the one in the pictures) sat in the hallway waiting for management to send the maintenance . I guess management is to greedy to hire more maintenance people. Save yourself the trouble and do not move in.

I completely and fully retract my previous review in regards to this apartment complex. My initial reaction with the place was accurate, but as the months went by things changed. My wife and I had been fully prepared to stay with the complex and had asked if we could upgrade to a 2-bedroom. When the Assistant Manager came to speak to my wife, she had just come home from a week long stay at the hospital. He told her that there was nothing he could do for us. The apartment smelled like dogs and because of that, the whole carpet would have to be replaced. I called him the next day and explained that our dogs occasionally have accidents as my wife has liver disease, is in a wheelchair, and cannot always get the dogs outside in time. He informed me that it would not make any difference. He basically made me feel like he considered my wife and I to be white trash. I told him that we would be leaving the facility at the end of our lease to which he stated that that was probably best.

After leaving the facility, I just now received a notice that I own approximately $173 for damages. That was to replace the carpet, as he had stated months earlier. Now I had paid a $600 deposit, plus an additional $25 per month per dog for 12 straight months also totaling $600. $1200 for carpeting is pretty expensive.

I never complained. Not in the entire time I was there, not that there wasn't many, many problems. First of all, there are NO handicapped parking spaces. I am pretty certain that if that doesn't break any federal laws, it certain breaks a few state ones. There was a ramp to the building, but no ramp on the curb. No one ever cleared away any snow, which is a lot of fun when your wife is in a wheelchair and has to get to a doctor's appointment. The plumbing had to be fixed 5 times, the kitchen twice, the bathroom twice, and the toilet once. Each time, water overflowed and that was what got the carpet wet! Half the apartment lost power twice. The power flickered in the entire apartment all the time. Electric Bills were twice as high as my current apartment, which is twice as large. The main hallways always smelled like something had died. The stove elements were uneven and rickety, making cooking anything difficult. These are just some of the main problems we encountered. If we had just been able to leave and leave quietly, I would have left all of this alone and gone on with my life. These additional charges was just one more insult to my wife and myself. In my opinion, this was quite possibly the worst apartment experience and the worst treatment I have ever encountered. We were quiet, always paid on time, obeyed the rules, and were courteous the entire time we were tenants. If you are looking for an apartment that is small, overpriced, under-maintained, to which you can be taken advantage for being a good tenant, then this is the place for you!

I just wanna say Thank you to all of the folks who have told the ugly truth about this place. I was concerned about the age of the place but it appeared decent on the surface. Of course the 649 rent, plus the extra 100 off the rent for the first year special was very attractive to a single dad. I was seriously considering this apartment but not now. I have a 13 year old daughter and there's no way in hell I'm going to expose her to this atmosphere. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Honestly, my girlfriend and I had heard a lot of negative things about Knobs Pointe apartments coming into it. Between comments and some former residents, we weren't too sure about it. The people we had known to live there were residents years ago so it was nothing current and we decided to check it out. We had noticed while pulling into the place that there was nice landscaping done and we read a sign that said they were under new management. Danielle was the lady who showed us around a couple apartments. She was Awesome! A straight shooter and she really acted like she cared. We liked the place and have now been living here for a year. We just signed our second lease. The maintenance guys are awesome and super responsive and we really have no complaints except for the excess in wasps but we are right on the edge of a tree line. All in all we have a had a good experience! Its affordable with a nice pool and a view!

Let me just say this is the worst place I ve ever lived! Don t get me wrong I love my apartment even though it s a little on the expensive side. I ve had nothing but problems and 5 of my neighbors have told me they ve had the same ones. For one the management is VERY rude and nasty, especially the head property manager Karen. The there s the problem of when things need immediate fixing, my bathtub was clogged from something they did at the neighbors and after 1call and 2times of going down there they finally fixed it... 5days later. I couldn t even take a shower! Then every time it rains all the lower apartments get soaked I had about an inch of water coming out of my carpet. After reporting several times during the week they finally came. They ripped up my carpet and shoved a fan underneath and left it there for almost a week. You couldn t even walk in the living room AT ALL! By the end of all this it smelt like mold, every breath you took was filled with the smell. So I went down and told management and they said didn t they spray? I said that they did but that s what made it start smelling like mold. So they told them to come spray again, which just made it smelling worse. So I decided to shampoo my carpet with bleach. Finally after 2weeks the smell was gone, but now my dog started loosing all of her fur, so I took her to the vet the very next day and they told me she got a massive skin infection and a virus and ask me had if anything had been going on at home, if I had any problem areas with mold and I told her yes. She said that it looks like that s what caused it. When I went and told the office this they could care less. I didn t even get an apology or anything!! She told me it s not their problem.

Some of the nicest people I have met since moving to Indiana..the office staff is very nice. I love all the things they do for the residents, especially the children and pets. I absolutely love living here it is so beautiful and peaceful. The maintenance staff do a wonderful job keeping up the grounds as well as any work orders myself or my family has had.

So I have lived at these apartments for almost a year now and although I was hesitant because of the history of bad reviews, a friend told me that it had changed. I decided to give it a chance and my first good sign was that they didnt need alot of front like every other place I had checked out. Upon moving in, my roommate and I encountered 5 problems with the apartment that were kind of alarming. I went up to the office and talked to staff because I was upset with the condition of a few areas. Well within 2 hours, an extremely nice gentleman came by and fixed 4 out of 5 problems (the correct way, which most would put back together with band-aids) and fixed the last problem the following day. One of the biggest gripes about apartment complexes are the maintenance teams that are never come to your place when asked or the poor way they "fix" stuff. I have never stayed somewhere for longer than a year, but I am definitely giving this place another go around. It's in an ideal location, the staff is super nice and understanding, it has a daycare in the center of it, alittle strip with a good pizza place in it, shaved ice shop, hair salon, liquor store with the nicest people in it, and the cleanest laundromat I have ever been too with multiple machines of all sizes. By no means is this place a forever destination but it's an apartment complex, it gets the job done. Btw, when looking at reviews...look at the time in which they wrote it. Alot of places revamp their staff and do renovations so the initial star rating may not be accurate, like with this place.

The units shown to potential renters are completely opposite from the units rented. I opted for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom and the day before move in I was told they did not have that unit for me. With no other options I had to take an oversized 1 bedroom. Units rented are not re-done, they are not cleaned. The trim in the bathrooms was off and lying on the floor. There was dried food on the cabinets and ceiling. The bathrooms were disgusting and needed deep cleaning before they could be used. The apartment smelled of cigarettes. Sinks were clogged within a week of living there. Maintenance response is slow and the men/women employed there are questionable. 2 months into the lease the apartment caught fire due to faulty wires in the bathroom ventilation fan. The property manager was extremely unpleasant when asked what the next steps were. She was solely worried about not having blame placed on the complex because they "can't control what might happen." Submitted multiple complaints about the smell of drugs from 3 of the 4 neighbors and nothing was done about it. Police frequent the area due to drug traffic in and out all hours of the day/night. Pool was closed for having fecal contamination in it and a letter was sent to residents advising them that the property manager was disappointed in the residents due to their lack of care. Unfortunately, it is the lack of cleanliness at the facility as a whole, not solely the residents (who I more than certain had a role in the contamination because they are very gross) Apartment was still not fixed by July. 4 months after the fire. Multiple attempts were made to have maintenance come fix damage. One Maintenance worker advised that the office is responsible for issuing work orders and without a work order, no work could be done. It is most certainly a poorly managed, poorly run complex.

We're to start??? When we moved in in March things seemed great. We have learned that it's all an act. First any time I call nothing gets done for weeks even after calling again. But my husband calls and it gets done within days. We have dealt with a foul smelling sink since we've moved in. We have dealt with various bugs including roaches in the master bedroom because of holes under the molding. I just went to go to bed and there was a huge roach in it. Which I mentioned to the office. A large water stain in the room has grown and the ceiling is now bubbling. There's water stains and holes in the bathroom ceiling that use to not be there. I called twice about that and nothing has been resolved. Our balcony has a loose support beam that has yet to be fixed, we called about it after we moved in and now another board is loose. We pay entirely too much a month to deal with this crap. I will be calling in the morning and we will be filling a complaint with the BBB.

Management is extremely rude, does not call back or even communicate with their tenants. Mold is everywhere, A/C never works, maintenance crew is OK, but never fixes things properly. Pool is never in working condition. On top of all that, our bathroom wall caved in to our tub, and they didn't even fix it for 5 business days...the whole apartment wreaked of mold and they didn't care.

I have lived on the property for 5 years now and have had a good experience here. They apartments are a little underdated at least the ones I ve lived in but I haven t had many issues with that. They are pretty punctual when you put in a work order too which is nice. And Karen the project manager has been amazing since the beginning!

Everything that you are reading in these reviews are absolutely correct. I currently live in this Hell hole. I have been trying to have my bathroom properly repaired for 2 month due to tiles falling off of the wall and black mold growing behind my toilet. I have literally complained to these people 10 time and nothing is being done to address my situation. They started the repair and never finished. Nonetheless, I wake up this morning and I have no water and no notice of my water being off. Do not move into this place it is a dump, and one of the other reviewers was correct when they said management i.e. Karen and her staff will tell you anything you want to hear.

Moved into my apartment in January 2018 and haven't had any issues yet. Will be signing my lease for another year when the time comes around. Maintenance is really helpful and friendly. I had to call once about some outlets not working and they came the next day and fixed the issue. Office staff has been great so far, no issues. I always take my dog out in the early morning and past dark in the evening and have always felt safe walking her in the neighborhood. Apartment was clean, appliances up to date. The only thing I would love to have is new carpet since mine was not changed when I moved in. Fingers crossed!

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I should have listened to all the bad reviews. All the company thinks about is money. They dont care about their residents. They wont work with you on rent if something happens. They just want your money. But Just like others i have giant cockroaches in my apartment, and fleas every where even in the shower! I call and NO ONE EVER ANSWERS. and no one answers my voicemails. I cant sleep due to them biting me. I also have a washer and dryer hookup that i cant use but im paying extra for and was told they would work on it and never did! NO ONE MOVE HERE UNLESS ITS YOUR LAST CHOICE. ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Listen to all the reviews.
Also to add on we cant even have things on our patio because it gets vandalized. I cant even feel like home here.
