This hotel seems like it would not be great, but the rooms were clean, service was prompt and pleasant, and we all slept quite comfortably for the weekend. There are lots of restaurants nearby to enjoy and breakfast was satisfying enough to get us off to a good start.
What they don't tell you online: the rooms are extremely hot - too much so to sleep, the phones in every room are disconnected, their version of a wake up call consists of someone knocking on your door 20 minutes after the requested time, they state on the website three times that they are pet frien...
Very helpful and patient at the service desk. Clean rooms, lots of space. Location is a little iffy, depending on comfort levels, but I was fine with it.
This had to have been the worst stay at a hotel in my entire life. I was going out drinking on Saturday, December 10th and decided that I wanted to stay at a hotel. I didn't want to pay a lot of money so I was not expecting much to begin with. Still with my low expectation it still managed to surpri...
I had a satisfactory stay at this hojo' s it was a bit pricey for that area it is not centrally located and it is easy to get down town but does take time but overall the breakfast help yourself was cool and the place was quiet and peaceful staff were helpful I would stay there again!
This place is awful. It smells musty and moldy. The rooms are claustrophobic, towels stained yellow and no sound insulation at all. Ceiling is cracked with a very poor patch job and there's a window ac in Dec. Dust and grime everywhere. I'm laying fully clothed on top of the coveres. i wasnt expect...
It was horrible. The room had a bad smell and the bathroom smelled strongly of mould, because the ceiling was covered in it, and so was the shower, which was also broken. Because the air conditioner didn't seem to be working very well, we removed the front panel and found a thick sheet of dust and a...
It was unique. Be advised the rooms are small but for the price they were clean and comfortable. Sadly the area has many drug users and street people begging for money. I do not advise elderly or people with young children to be here. Be warned it is three story hotel and they have NO ELEVATORS!!!...
Terrible never even bothered to go inside no parking TTC Tram car station directly out back and and two police cruisers hanging around out front and cheap plastis flowers in the window....i passed
Parking is 2 blocks away at minimum. Great location. However go into it knowing the rooms are a 2/5. My bathroom door didn't open enough to actually stand in front of my sink and mirror
Terrible. Does not deserve any stars. No On site parking. Crazy maniacs escaping from the hospital with iv s still attached to them. Couple across from our room constantly yelling and cursing. Room was equivalent to a studio apartment of a hotel room. No space. Bugs on the wall. Freezing. No elevato...
Outdated! I thought hotels did away with smoking rooms. Room was 311. Small & smelled of old cigarette smoke, but it was clean. It would do them well to paint, update the decor, peeling wallpaper. No parking on site parking lot was several blocks away, 10 min walk. This room also had no fridge, wou...
Majority of rooms are smoking rooms and the hotel looks more like a very cheap motel. Dirty, smelling of cigarettes and spilled drinks. Rooms are tiny and do not get cleaned well. This particular HJ is just horrible horrible place to be.
The area and the hotel have cleaned up they are renovating the rooms it's nice and convenient if you like Roncesvalles or if you have someone staying at the hospital St Joseph
Room was clean and basic ammenities were provided. The contential breakfast could have been better as it did not include eggs, meaf, and had minimal fruit.
Look, for the price in the area it is great. You get a room with your own bathroom relitively clean, and the service was amazing. Everyone at the reception was really nice and friendly amazing people. The breakfast was great too, waffles, bagles all that you can imagine. Couldn't ask for more.
Worse hotel I have every stayed in.<br/>Booked online 2 bedroom with a fridge and got there and they over booked and put us in a room with one bed the size of the room and no fridge. Cable wouldn t work or the volume buttons On the remote and internet went out, vending machine broken and when I trie...
- No Onsite Parking - Hairs on sink and floor in Bathroom. - Noisey Air Conditioner in window sealed by a tarp. - Peeling Wallpaper. - Screaming tenants and obvious Drug use on site. - Possible mold on cracking ceiling.
Noisy area, beside a large intersection with streetcars and on the other side there's a streetcar service yard. A lot of weird people hang around this area too, especially at night. Hotel is old and dated and very far from downtown. No parking nearby
Well I know this hotel and it is not recommended to stay here.1st of all it is in Parkdale one of the worst areas to goto. The rooms are very cold and drafty and some of the people where assholes so recommended DONT STAY HERE
Friendly staff, some more organized than others. Know what your getting into , this is not a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately the only rooms available where smoke rooms but besides that it was a great experience. Small rooms but cozy for a single person. Clean room/bathroom nothing to complain about. Fo...
A) I found human hair that didn't belong to me or the person I was with. B) there was maybe 15cm from wall to the bed. C) the smell was just terrifying. D) I wouldn't recommend you go there.
This hotel is conveniently located in front of the trolley car 501 and 504 line within 10 ft you have a McDonald's to the right across the street you have a convenience store you have a Burrito Boyz restaurant and you have local buses Within 1015 ft at the max I really enjoyed my stay there and enjo...
If I could give this hotel less than 1 star I would. Absolutely terrible. Pictures are very misleading. Mold in the room, single bed, no refrigerator or microwave. Front desk employee was rude and not helpful at all. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you're looking for a sickening experie...
Disgusting hotel. The smallest rooms I've ever seen! The lobby and hallways stink. Staff are rarely available at the front desk. We didn't end up staying overnight. We left at 2am and drive home to Whitby.
We had a nice stay until I saw that there was a charge from the hotel I did not do. So one of the people at the front desk used my card to purchase something online. Use cash only. Shady......
The room was small. She definitely needs to be better maintained. The cleanliness was debatable. Some repair attempts had been started without being completed with quality. The air conditioning was surrounded by black masking tape. The windows were fogged. The curtains did not close completely. I us...
Decent rates despite the incredibly cramped space, but absolutely inaccessible to any potential visitors with disabilities.
There aren't any elevators, ramps, or anything else accessible if you're disabled, and when I asked if there was an elevator (I am not in a wheelchair myself, but I do use a...
Stayed 1 night and it was terrible. Room was sprayed heavily with some sort of deodorizer...could not breathe or sleep comfortably. Carpets had visible dark stains and walls had dents/punctures. We left the hotel as soon as possible the next morning.
Location - there is no on site parking. $6/24hrs is not bad, but it's almost two blocks away in the visitor parking for a sketchy apartment building. It's located next to a streetcar terminal/depot that is very busy. The room trembles when they pass.
Friendly welcome. stairs in very dusty carpet. Small room and no window that opens, stuffy. Very expensive for the service. Very simple breakfast, no dairy products ... No elevator.
Okay. Reasonably priced, location nice in the west side of downtown. Wi-Fi connection is ABYSMAL ! For anyone who knows speeds. They offer you 0.25 mbps or 250 kbps which can barely view a 480p not even 720p not yo mention 1080p and 2160p. They get 1 star for price and 1 star for location and okay ...
Not the best hotel I've been to. Did the trick for a cheap nights stay, but the room was very small, and had an odour of smelly feet. Right near the TTV streetcar station so it's pretty loud throughout the night. Staff were nice and it was clean enough but wouldn't recommend unless you just need a c...
Booked a room in April, called a head to make sure our room is still available. Guy in the phone said everything was good. The same day, we arrive and he tells us there was compilations our room and we have to move to another location. We were the only people that night that had to go, over heard th...
Front desk was rude and unclear. The road infront was so loud I had trouble sleeping. The parking is a 5 minute walk away... The load in was simply parking on the sidewalk. The toilet also clogged alot easier than it should and had to plunge myself. There was also a random drunk man who was knocking...
Rooms are ridiculously small, price of our room practically doubled because we used our Visa Debit (which we weren't told they wouldn't accept until a few hours before check-in), staff was dismissive and rude, no on-site parking.... they still have smoking rooms "because it's an old building"... to ...
This is a good spot to stay. There are bars in walking distance on Queen St. Plenty of places to eat near by. Uber and Lyft respond in minutes. Public transportation pick up. In front of the hotel. If your looking for a budget hotel that is close to it all, this is it.
Not bad for a quick stay. The continental breakfast is pretty good too. It runs from 7-10am. Access to public transit is steps from the front door. The only issue is the noise from the two streetcar lines at night if you are staying on the second or third floor. There is a McDonald's next door and ...
Was very clean, spacious for the location, friendly at check in and out. However did have a broken clock on my nightstand, and no lights in the bedroom area. Great window veiw of the alley.
Stayed in the hotel while attending an even at the Palais Royale across the street. We paid extra for the nicest room in the whole place, #105, which was ALMOST passible, but we had several friends in other rooms that were atrocious. Bugs, smell, mold, no opening windows so no fresh air. Breakfast b...
