Unpleasant to work with customer service even on a good day. Also watch out for their policies, they cutoff power with zero warnings or even a notice. Apparently I forgot to setup my autopay and they disconnected my power in the middle of August in Texas during a pandemic, my wife and kids had nowhere to go until I finally got them on the phone to fix the situation. Also setting up payments online is clunky at best.

Not sure if there is the company or what. I am referring to the Express Energy company as a utility provider.

This company is very interesting. In two words: it sucks! In all ways, they will try to squeeze money from you.
1. If you enrolled in the auto-pay program and one day you clicked the button to pay by hand, there is a penalty.
2. When it is time to renew, they will send an email highlighting the text of the plan you have selected. It does not explicitly say if there is a change in the plan or whatsoever. But you know what, after you assumed that the plan would be the same and you renewed, you would soon realize the highlighted text is a hyperlink to the pricing and CONGRATULATIONS, your plan has been increased $20 a month!!! Brilliant marketing strategies!!!

BEWARE!!! This is not an honest company. They are deceitful and when you try to reach them it is impossible to get any help. There phone number for customer service is not in the USA. They try to be helpful but it is lost. I canceled my service and they reconnected it. 3 months later still trying to get order with my energy services. DONT USE THEM!!!!!

I moved to a new address and Express Energy does not provide services in the new location. I called 2 weeks before my move date to cancel service and I spoke to a gentleman with a Russian accent. He assured me services would be canceled. I called again a few days later just to confirm and once again they said everything is good and services will be turned off in my name. Well, fast forward 3 weeks later and I receive a bill for $108 for services AFTER my move out date. I am currently on hold with.a customer service rep who has told me that they show no record of me calling. I would STAY very far away from this company.

I spoke with Bianca in customer service and she said that she will call me tomorrow with a resolution. She also said there is a problem with me accessing my account online and I should try again in 1 hour with the temporary password that she gave me. So, in summary we will see if the things she has told me are true. Yah!

FYI...myexpressenergy.com is the company I am referring to. I tried removing this post since apparently there are 2 express energy firms, however, after clicking around I couldn't find an option for deleting it.
