First time I went to this store I found myself explaining to the sales assistant the difference between video adapters as he clearly didn't know the products. When I got home I found the adapter created a slight blur and tried to return it today. I was told that it wasn't worth me returning it as they would charge a 25% restocking fee, and that it wasn't within 7 days, and that unless there was a defect with the product they would not accept it. Mind you it was in one of those zip seal bags so I had not damaged or worn the product/packaging in any way. Much prefer Jaycar. I have returned products there but have also dropped a ton of money and will continue to do so there.

So incredibly pleased with the technicians at centre com sunshine. After recently damaging my mac book pros screen display i was advised by many apple authorised technicians that a repair under warranty would cost up to $1100. Due to apple not being open as a result of stage 4 restrictions I thought paying the price was the only solution, however, after contacting centre com they reassured me that my laptop would in fact be covered under warranty and were able to replace my screen within the week. With a smooth handoff, communication in between and pick up i am extremely satisfied and thankful. Special thanks to Maison who i had dealt with for the entirety of the process :)

They didn't open a keyboard so I could look at the key spacing. May as well buy online. Regardless of policy, viewing the goods is a important difference between online and physical stores. Its important that people know this, hence the reasoning behind the review. As most people likely to expect that items can be opened, it not like i was asking for a pc case or cpu to be opened. Just a keyboard with very simple packaging.

So I've previously bought custom built computers from Centrecom, and they were pretty good and helpful. There were a couple of issues with software activation and faults but they got sorted out.

But I've now spent about two months trying to get onto Centrecom's repair team. Have called four times and had an email chain with one staff member that has trailed off and now receiving no responses.

It's disappointing as they have some great staff who know their stuff, but I just don't understand why they'd pay for google ads offering laptop repairs only to refuse to respond.

It seems like a waste of money.

Worth considering if you want a computer built but their customer service team seems to be very inconsistent.

Terrible service. Bought a 3.5inch HDD, turns out I don't have the right drive bays for it. Called up to ask if I could return it - flat no. Not a conversation, not an offer to change it for the correct one, no talk of a restocking fee even. Just a flat no. Wow.

Called up ordered ssd, said it would be there next week, called up over a week later no ssd, they forgot to order it. Called up asked if part was in stock, "no we dont have them" , "are you sure", "yep" go in store, plenty in stock 1hr later. The seem to have some communication issues.

Took my 2014 Macbook Air in for a battery replacement. They quoted me $250, when the Apple store charges $190. I asked why they were charging more and they said that it would cost more because it was "vintage hardware". I told them thanks and that I would just get it done at the Apple store instead. The guy told me that I shouldn't bother bringing it there because "they won't fix it as it's vintage." I went anyway and got a new OEM battery + 3 year warranty for $60 less than this Centrecom quoted. It was a lot less of a hassle as well.

Obviously these are trying times under Victoria s covid restrictions.
So obviously click and collect is preferred.
However half their products show as in store only and there is stock available. How do you buy products that are in store only when your store is closed?
Unfortunately 1 Star from me until all products are put up for online purchasing.

Purchased a pre-built PC from here a few months back. Asked some questions before buying which they were really helpful about (especially cause I think that they were maybe silly questions for anyone in the know), and ordered and recieved the PC through COVID with no issues. The PC was great (looks real fancy as well as being a might good machine), and I have generally found with follow up purchases that they have a fantastic range of products at really excellent prices. Recommend them highly to anyone looking for a new computer or peripherals.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Went there today to try and return an unused headphone as it was USB powered and I needed the one with a 3mm headphone jack. They had me go through the entire "process" of returning the item only to told by the "excuse of a manager" at the end that I would have to pay 20% of the original price of the item to "return" it. An UNUSED item. Didn't even offer me options - they had the same item on stock with the 3mm headphone jack at a cheaper price, which I would've taken and was 30% less the original price of the item that I got. I asked if they had a USB to Aux cord instead that I could buy so I don't have to return the item but instead got answered sarcastically by the manager saying, "Nah, no such thing as USB to Aux. It's the other way around!" Felt sorry they had an ignorant "manager" working at that place. Wouldn't advise to go visit this Centercom.

Pushy sales staff and an unfair return policy. Will lie to get out of returning money

To clarify the product WAS faulty but apparently "CentreComm's warranty does not carry over to software faults"
By the looks of the other negative comments and multiple thumbs up on this review, shows the customers are fed up.

Oh and to top it off, I got charged $50 for the privilege of using my own debit card!

I just bought a samsung curved monitor 3 days ago and requested them if I could buy another monitor from them in exchange of it as the pixel of this monitor was very high for my need. They said no and they cant do anything. They advised me to sell the monitor on eBay.... not happy!

Arrogance is the best word to describe this bunch, would not do service with them in the future. You may save some money comparative to standard retail pricing however their customer service and shipping promises are going to be the real cost here. Save yourself your time and sanity and go somewhere else.

There was also a lovely email chain by someone in management there who is incredibly rude and must have a stick up their arse. They clearly have never picked up a customer service booklet in their life. Everything is "not their fault" and they will never take blame for their stuff up's.

Customer service is fantastic, they have always looked after me and discounted many items. Never had any issues exchanging faulty products, they did it on the spot and never made me wait whilst the manufacturer tested the product etc. which could take weeks before they contacted you just to tell you the goods were broken by you! Cheapest PC parts around and great prices on pre-built PC's. I don't go into the Apple store much, PC master race and all, looks very bright in there with the white decor feeling very sterile. Everything is overpriced and under supported.....nothing to do with Centrecom though, as their own brand they are awesome! 5 stars ( )

Terrible experience... I purchased a monitor which was delivered damaged. I called to replace it and was given no help. I hadn't kept the packaging (which my partner had thrown in recycling while I was away for a week on business) so they refused to accept responsibility. I asked if they could then help with a discounted replacement if I were to buy another and they flatly refused.

One star is generous!! This store CLAIMS to be an Apple authorised repairer, but replaced my battery with a dodgy clone that wasn't Apple approved and which failed within 2 weeks. Took it to the Apple store in Doncaster only to discover that Centre Com had not recorded the repair on Apple's system, and that Apple don't replace non-Apple authorised batteries. I felt so humiliated, frustrated and annoyed!

Apple ended up taking full responsibility and replaced the battery free of charge. Centre Com did end up refunding the dodgy battery cost (after I had to return it to the store in my own time), but refused to refund the service fee as they had installed Malwarbytes for me during that first visit.

Given that they did not log the service with Apple, I feel I have a reasonable claim to have the service fee refunded. But they refused!

Apple intervened, but are POWERLESS to make them refund the service fee, so my only recourse now is consumer affairs.

This has dragged on for almost 6 weeks since I first went to Centre Com, including hours at the Apple store and on the phone with Centre Com and Apple and driving back to the store with the faulty battery.

Stay away!!

Wait for an appointment with Apple. You will be saving time AND money, and will get what you need WITH a quality guarantee.

I ordered a pair of headphones which did not fit and did not match the item description. The customer service team responded to my initial enquiry but when I sent a response they have not responded since 02/09 (over a week) despite numerous follow up emails through various channels. Extremely poor experience. I previously ordered $2000 worth of computer parts through Centrecom and will not be ordering from them ever again.

Went into store on Sunday looking to buy a laptop for my son. As i had no idea what was compatible for my son, I was approached by a salesman named Adem. He was very respectful and knowledgeable and catered for our needs with flying colours. Great service, top bloke and honest. Definitely going back for more!

Ordered a monitor at the end of August which had an ETA of 08/09 originally. Come October, it has been delayed twice with a new ETA of 15/10. I asked to substitute for a larger screen and paid the difference AND $30 for express shipping. I was told it would be dispatched that afternoon. After 2 days, received a response advising me that it would be dispatched immediately.

Meanwhile, i ordered a laptop and paid for express shipping. It was dispatched the same day so they cannot tell me this is due to delays. This was negligence.

Bought a $500 AOC CQ32G2E 31.5" WQHD Curved 1ms 144Hz Freesync Gaming Monitor in april

Had a defect

Went under warranty

(ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCESS)

4 MONTHS LATER (SEPTEMBER)

I finally recieve my replacement monitor

EXCEPT IT IS THE INCORRECT ONE. AFTER 4 WHOLE MONTHS THEY STILL STUFFED IT!

I recieve an AOC monitor that is FHD (Half the resolution of the original one) and half the price.

This is the most imcompitent idiots I have ever dealt with, it is disgusting. F your company.

If your phone is your only means of communication and it breaks down, requiring you to leave your phone for a minor repair for 2 or 3 days is not acceptable! And that is besides the fact that I have to leave the next day for overseas. The phone is only 6 months old, and has never been dropped! Besides, it was unusable, therefore I cannot just ignore it in the meantime while I travel abroad.

I said minor repair because it took less than a couple of hours for people at Apple Chadstone to fix it. So, maybe, just maybe, avoid this place if you're time-poor.

The Centre Com Sunshine Warehouse has probably the worst customer service of all time. They're rude, arrogant, uninformed. Everything is out of stock. Plus, there was also outside scalpels trying to sell me their products for an overpriced price and the staff didn't even push them away. Absolutely appalling, never going there again.

In store experience is flawless. Warranty's however is the opposite. They have complicated policies and lengthy claim processes. Ended up having an unusable PC for 3 weeks and still waiting. The in store warranty team at Clayton told me it was "obviously buggered" and was "common with this product" but seems to have taken the Sunshine team weeks to realise this.

For many years centre com was a good place to get my computer products at a decent price. But recently upon receiving a faulty htc vive cosmos elite they refused to refund me and sent it back, they said they would "keep me in touch" I went into the store physically and tried 2 online tickets just to no longer hear from them it has been 2 and a half weeks. so now I have no choice but to say DO NOT BUY FROM CENTRE COM if there is anything wrong with your item you will be on the losing end.

Unfortunately no option for zero stars. I used to shop exclusively at MSY and bought and built many systems with them and obviously there had been times where something was not working and I would bring it back and they would swap it no questions asked. I bought a new system from Centrecom Sunshine with a very powerful computer and 6 monitors for my business. I picked it up over a week ago and had to wait for my 6 monitor stand that I bought elsewhere to be delivered prior to installing the monitors. It arrived on Friday and I set them up. I then cleaned up, throwing some packaging away.

The next day, I realised that every single monitor had a big dent in the top left corner which was very strange as they were all packed very well when I received them. No damage to the boxes. I called Centrecom Sunshine today to enquire about what the next steps were and the bloke I spoke to said that there would be no problems and to just bring them back to the store and they would replace them. I asked him to check the stock levels of that particular monitor as I clearly expressed I need to use them today for my business. He then checked and said there were heaps and just to come down. He said "it would be good if you bring them back in their boxes".

So I packed all 6 monitors in 3 boxes as I had already disposed of three boxes last night and had all the attachments like stands, cables etc in a seperate bag. When I got in there today, I went to the service counter and the gentleman there said that I would firstly have to have every single monitor in its original packaging, i.e, boxes, cables, styrofoam inserts, plastic sheaths etc as that was what Philips required for them to be able to exchange them. He then said that they would have to be examined by the service manager who was not on today and would be back next Tuesday. He said they could not do anything until they were checked and approved before swapping them for me. I reminded him that I had spoke to someone clearly about this prior to taking over 2 hours to dissamble the monitors and drive down there and that the person assured me not only that they would exchange them but also checked they had sufficient quantities in stock today.

This bloke was sitting around the corner while I was speaking to this other gentleman and even acknowledged speaking to me earlier. They basically wasted at least 5 hours of my day plus I will have to make the trip back again on Tuesday and was told I definitely needed all packaging material as I received it to be able to get a refund for a faulty product. I find it extremely unlikely that Philips would have such a stringent returns policy especially if Centrecom is buying thousands of their products a year.

As I mentioned previously, I am sure that MSY would have definitely just had swapped them for me being a clearly faulty product. Disgusting service and unreasonable requirements for returning faulty products. If I were an employee there, it would be obvious to me that there would have clearly been a issue with the transport of all those monitors and would have opened a few more that we had in stock in the store to see if they were damaged in a similar fashion at a bare minimum. Extremely frustrated and disappointed. Don't shop here.

I've had inconsistent experiences here. I just got off the phone to the store and was told to 'be quick' as the store is busy. The phone service is weird and really bad. I thought it was pretty rude as I am a customer looking to spend money and am now considering taking my business elsewhere. With the vibe I got off the gentlemen on the phone, I don't think they would care anyway!

Customers be advised that they require signing forms when picking up despite following all their prerequisites such as showing ID, credit card and invoice. If you have no pen you have to use their infected pen used by many others. If you test positive remember to name them among your contacts. Be aware that their FREE Australia Post option has not delivered my other order for more than 4 weeks!

They are scammmers. They refused to fix our new MacBook indicating that we contacted Apple and made everything worse. They charged us unnecessarily and refused to refund money even though Apple has given us an exception. Later, We went to Apple store in high point and fixed it for free. Poor customer skills. The worst customer experience in my 59 years of life - TRUELY!
No problem buying hardware from this company, but you never want to experience trying get something looked at if it is under warranty.
Within 2 minutes of a conversation with a Centre Com warranty returns person regarding my 16" curved Samsung monitor ($600 new) he had said there is no way we are going to replace this, and "Oh, you are 10 months into a 12 months warranty" insinuating it was close enough to be outside it's warranty period. That was the start!

All I wanted was for the issue to be fixed. Such poor customer training which seemed just to be doing the absolute minimum and not to bear any responsibility.

I explained the issue with a discoloration/fuzzy picture of the monitor after a period of use. I had sent them a screen photo and I referred them to a YouTube video showing the issue others had experienced. Finally after several weeks where they said they could find no fault after conducting stress testing I convinced one of several people I spoke to to send it to Samsung. They said it could take 4 - 6 weeks as it had to be sent to Sydney. No one has ever corrected this statement (and I have this on an email). I found out 4 weeks later it was sent to an authorised Samsung repair agent (who I can highly recommend) 5Km down the road, and not to Sydney. CentreCom never passed on the screen photo or much/any info. about the issue to this company when I visited them. Then there was a dispute with this company over who was to pay for looking at the monitor. Centre Com refused to pay. Finally after 2 months I went into CentreCom and collected my monitor, never to go anywhere near that place ever again.

Dodgy business and horrible customer service. Not worth the risk.

I purchased the Asus GeForce RTX 3080 TUF 10GB Gaming Graphics Card online at 11pm during the launch for $1,649. Immediately afterwards (the next day) I saw that Centrecom reduced the price to now be $1,399 which is the same as all other retailers (PCCG, Scorptech, CPL). Knowing the cards would instantly sell out and Centrecom inflated the price $250 above ASUS' RRP. As their website was crashing during the high traffic and other retailers' websites too, it was impossible to pick up on Centercom price gouging until the next day.

I've emailed customer support on September 22nd, they finally respond on October 9th (two weeks later) saying they don't understand...my first paragraph is exactly what I sent in the email, it's not hard to understand. It's now been another 2 weeks since my last email from them. I follow up every week with no response. All I want, is for my $250 that was price gouged to be refunded or a gift card of the same amount.

I know to expect a delay from customer service but this is ridiculous, you can't call them if something goes wrong. It's not worth the potential hassle to purchase from these guys.

Bought a faulty desktop PC, brought it back and got it replaced straight away. Now it works like a charm. Bought a $1200 PC that runs Fallout 4 on ultra. Pretty decent prices, HOWEVER I heard MSY is slightly cheaper by what? A couple of dollars?

Centre Com is alright, they're quite helpful and they instantly replaced my computer.

I wouldn't %100 recommend it, though. Some of the staff can be a little rude.
