An awesome dance studio for the individuals whose passion is dancing. Multiple styles with great facilities. Great faculty with instructors of good and friendly nature. I have just taken few classes here but I can tell that this is a dream opportunity for new york dancers. I admire this place a lot ...
My oldest son bought my youngest son a gift certificate for a dance lesson at Christmas time. He enjoyed both the center and the trainer. He's looking to go back this summer. Everyone one we talked to was extremely friendly.
The best place for kids to dance and learn from the best instructors in the industry in the Northeast. They all have such a great positive attitude which transfers over naturally to the kids and helps them grow with self confidence and high self esteem. My daughter has only danced in their teen prog...
You know the saying about the two left feet, right? Well, it gives a pretty good picture of what I am capable of when it comes down to dancing. Still I found myself taking classes here in order to improve my dancing skills. Or let's say to gain any... Overall I must admit it was a good idea. I learn...
The beginner class is NOT for beginners at all. My wife suggests the class was well above immediate.
When we entered the lobby we were asked to sign up. My wife filled out her details while the girl behind the counter was too busy texting to help or even smile.
I went in this studio for dance lessons during my holidays in the summer 2 years ago. I really appreciated that we could register only a bit before the lesson and that it was opened to any kind of people (just chosing the right level for the class). The teachers and lessons were good but sometimes t...
Attended an all levels open vougueing class. So inspirational and what a professional and passionate instructor named Omari! He communicated with the whole class with such warmth and humour, and really made everybody feel at home regardless of their level. I felt inspired, uplifted and empowered. An...
Very friendly and helpful staff! The teachers are amazing, love how they offer a variety of different styles of dance. We absolutely love it here and highly recommend it to all levels of dance!
This review is being posted late. I had wanted to pick up new some techniques for a class I was teaching. I do not have strong ballet technique, hence I took a ballet class and durning class the instructor only gave me one comment that was good (with a smart tone attached to it). Basically he insist...
One of the best dance studios in NYC. They offer master classes, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, tap and many other styles of dance classes. Classes can get a bit crowded. If you go an instructor many times they will give you more personal attention since they like to see familiar faces.
Honestly, I had the worst dance class of my life today. After dancing for 10 years, I took a 13 year hiatus. I recently wanted to get back into dance, fully aware I'd be rusty. The class today (beginning ballet) was awful. The instructor singled me out numerous times, asked me to dance behind a pill...
I love this class! So many perfessonial teachers! I love it so much! I m looking forward to take more classes! there a lot of classes and a lot of people! The building is super big full of talented dancers! super cool everyone is friendly .
I've went this place for ask about dance classes, details. front desk people just wanted me to sign up for member first for any question to them. that was ridiculous. - - sign up for member, you should fill up all your information ( name.. birth.. address.. email address.. phone number.. etc / almo...
Personally, I love it here. As an adult who used to dance more competitively as a youth, I enjoy taking the drop-in classes at BDC. I take all Hip Hop/Street Jazz classes and have a blast with the instructors, although I must admit I do feel like an "outsider" sometimes as there are tightly knit c...
I can say from experience that this studio is top notch in terms of the ensemble of teachers that have been assembled. They teach you tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, musical theatre dance, singing, and some acting as well. If you wish to learn how to dance in any of these styles of dance in order to be...
I only came here like 4 times and it was really nice but I couldn t and I still don t understand the door situation. I always have to wait until someone opens the door from the inside. I have no idea how to open the entrance door I don t know if I need my little member card can someone help me out.
You cannot record, what you paid $22 for. I love dancing and have been dancing for over 9 years, and my dance teachers have always encouraged me to take the material home to further study it. I cannot afford to pay $400+ a month on classes, so I record to learn. The dance instructor was recording th...
Great place for one off dance classes or if you want to enroll in a full time dancing career. I have been doing Hip Hop for about a year now. All the teachers are very talented in there field. Go for it!!
Love love love the CTP (children and teen program). My daughter absolutely loves her teacher Miss Melodye and looks forward to every class. The staff is kind and Allison, who works on 65th street, always has a smile on. I can't help but smile every time I see her.
Completely disappointed with the experience. I was eager to take a class there since it was my first time in NYC (and i probably won't return for a while). I was already sad the teachers that were recommended to me had substitutes covering for them this week. Nevertheless, I decided to go for it. F...
The Children and Teen Program is, hands down, the BEST possible place to anchor your child/teen. Offered here are not only exceptional classes with industry pros but the love, concern, interest and care given your child by ALLIE BEACH and her fabulous staff. Each year is celebrated with a June recit...
I purchased my first pair of tap shoes here. The designer/manufacturer of Miller and Ben tap shoes was there and did my fitting. I realized that the shoes I wanted, and the shoes that were comfortable and fit my foot, were very different. Still, I'm so happy with the look and feel of my new, swan...
Until today, I would have given BDC a 5. Great instructors & class choices BUT the desk staff and info when you call SUCKS. As a professional performer, my time matters, as does everyone's - I called last night to see if I needed to sign up in advance for a certain class & was told NO. I arrived way...
The teachers and staff are too notch but the facilities leave something to be desired. For many styles of dance the floors in most studios are very slick and thus is it becomes difficult to dance fully depending on your shoes.
It was wonderful!! We were very well received by all employees and teachers. The classes are awesome ... I'll be back soon with more dancing friends. A place that inspires us to dance!
"BEV is WORST dance instructor someone could possibly encounter in their lives." She is of the poorest quality and lowest standards, rude, vulgar, grotesque attitude towards others. One world to describe her GHETTO! If she was a fish she would be a barracuda!!! My sister has been a student at Broadw...
Don't sign up for the ISVP program because they don't refund your deposit if your visa is not approved. They totally ignored your emails and phone calls. Very unprofessional. The receptionist is very rude too.
I love the Broadway Dance Center. Massive variety of classes offering all kinds of different levels with incredibly experienced and talented instructors. My personal favorites are the VOGUEING and AFRICAN dance classes with Omar, who is so fun and knowledgeable, and the environment is very welcomin...
My daughter was 11 and they allowed her to take a class while she was on vacation in NYC. Her teacher was great, but called out the fact that there was a small, younger dancer in the back (my daughter didn t appreciate) It was her first time doing something like that.. taking a class like that. How...
My friend and I decided to try a beginner commercial Jazz class. We were told by the receptionist that as we had 15+ years Irish dance experience that beginner was the class for us. We quickly realised that it was far too advanced and that the rest of the dancers were very experienced and used to th...
my daughter danced here for about 10-11 years(children+teen program)...until she went off to college. it was a great character builder. she loved the it and the family did also. we made friends here that we still have...
