It s a decent spot I ve been here at least twice for spring awakening and it s super big at least I believe. Kinda dry if it hasn t rained but green luscious lawn otherwise. Parking is bad when it comes to music festival but that s a given. And lots of great food places otherwise and stores as well.
Illinois youth Soccer Program practices here. This is a free program for ages 5 to 17 My kids been in the program for 6 years now. This program helps to develop players Great Soccer Program and is FREE!!!
Great space for music festivals. Definitely check out Ruido fest.
Very nice park for chilling & fun with family & friends
Attended a 3 day music festival here. The park was nice enough, I feel sorry for the grass though.
Beautiful Park with the Chicago skyline in the background
This is the place. I found it very simple and careless compared to other parks that they have in the city.
previously have been amazing place ... now fading out slowly
My client stays over here in the area where this park is located
Really enjoyed the outdoor concerts the good food and the people in the neighborhood were just out having a great time no trouble at all they had medical services on hand and police were on hand to make sure everything was safe
Gorgeous new field house and gym with lots of indoor and outdoor activities!
Ghetto place! No parking anywhere in area and traffic is horrible
Loved the park. Too bad it's not hosting Spring Awakening Music Festival anymore.
Great place to fly your drone. Large open field, easy way to get all the way into the park, so you are able to pull to the center and get out to a large area. There is basketball courts and other sport activities. Great one area park for having fun, flying drones or walking the dog. Large open area with lots of street parking. Close to shops and the university.
They had spring awaking here this year an it worked out really nice with this park
This year is my first time.Soooo fun and really enjoyed the music. The weather was hot but couldn't stop dancing and drinking.
It was super muddy that day but was worth it for los Angeles azules!
This is one of Chicago's most Loved places to visit and the view is beautiful during the day and evening if you come to Chicago this a gotta see don't miss.
Been going there since I was a kid still stop there
Great place for public events to be held and has a lot of walking and activity space.
Probably nice as just a park. Terrible place for a music venue.
A great shortcut between Ashland and Loomis, but otherwise it s a remarkably bleak park . On a clear day, you can take some decent pictures of downtown.
Really cool large grounds! There are a few festivals and events through out the year here.
Cool park wear closed toe water proof shoes is it rains super muddy but pretty nice
A great place to relax or go on a short jog.Park was kept clean and in order. Never been here otherwise.
Pros for a music festival here: -Great view of the city -seems like a large sized park -sort of a basketball court landmark Cons for a music festival here: -not enough space to actually space things out well and make a good path for fest-goers, let alone if it's a high volume music fest, expect there to be no where to sit or relax away from the shows -garbage... everywhere... before and after the fest -dust (the grounds are not maintained and it causes dust storms after any large amount of people occupy the area for a day) -poor central area to place the festival, you generally have to walk 2 miles before you can get a taxi/uber because of all the main roads they have to block off for the fest, and parking nearby is about as far of a walk as well. -there are very few trees or other tall objects to provide any shade. Be prepared to sweat all day Cons depending on who hosts the festival: -poor placement of all stages/food/vendors/water stands. -Limited space for restroom facilities, as well as anywhere to really sit.
Surrounding area is pretty sketchy but otherwise park was decent.
Neat and clean, we had a reunion here with perfect results. Safe and secure. Very spacious, could use lighting and parking.
Went for Spring Awakening. Very clean and organized! Great park!
This park belongs to the park district and is under construction. It was a large beautiful park but the past few years has been hammered. We'll see what it looks like soon with all the new folks to the neighborhood that have been killing the grass.
Had the best time at Reggae Fest 2016! Please bring it back.
Nice place to go if you just want to visit the park.
Good park that has enough space for whatever you would like next to a fun neighborhood. Its a great place for the Dia de los muertos 5k.
Lot's of historical items to see..It's very educational..
So muddy, Porta potties had NO toliet paper and NO sanitizer stations for hand washing. Need more security INSIDE park for events. Came for spring awakening in June... Saw a lotta people who needed medical attention and or police escorts out. The hood is across street too, too many residents hawking people after event ended. But hada great time, at the show.
Awesome park Very close to the city Often have activities
went to spring awakening here!! it was a great experience!!
