We were not satisfied with the service and way of working at Bofimac. We had the impression that we had to ask about everything ourselves, while they always stated that they would give advice (also on their website). We only received advice when we specifically asked about it. They were also not transparent regarding their prices and invoiced many extras (such as the personal income tax return). We asked about the copyright fee, according to the manager this was not applicable, according to our lawyer this is frequently done for software developers. These are matters that you assume that you can rely on your accountant and not that you should be responsible for yourself. Same principle with PSPS / IPT, but also liquidation reserve that was never discussed. In addition, various matters and declarations were found to be missing (determined by our current accountant) and it subsequently emerged that no correct withholding tax was deducted (while we were under the assumption that this was properly checked by the accountant). Result: 3000 in taxes to be paid PRIVATE (instead of what normally should have been paid by the company as withholding tax), on a wage of barely 7500 (in secondary occupation). With our current accountant, this is now all in order, and again for a lower price than what Bofimac asks. For these various reasons, we do not recommend Bofimac as an accountant.
