I interviewed with the company originally in 2018 with Tandalea Harney, which went well. I got to meet members of the management team, and that went well also. While the company may not have seen me as a good fit at the time, I kept them on my radar. Here's what I experienced after re-applying in 2019. I interacted with HR Generalist Lawrence Snoody. The initial interview went well, and I was told that I would be kept in touch. After a year of proactiveness and keeping in touch with the company, the COVID pandemic put things on hold, which was qualified by Lawrence. However, now that things are slowly but surely reopening, he has been giving me the run around on the role that I was initially being considered for. After he picked my brain to help him determine how to write the job description and parameters of the role, I didn't hear back from him. While on Indeed searching for jobs one day, I noticed that the role I was being considered for, Documentation Specialist, I immediately reached out to Lawrence. He told me that he would be in touch. When I heard nothing back, I began to suspect that the company had moved in another direction. When speaking with Lawrence again, he then talked to me about an administrative based role that was completely out of scope of what we initially discussed. While caught off guard, I was still willing to engage and respect the company's decision, feeling as though this may have been based on my administrative background, even though I hold a BS in Biology, and BA in Psychology. Recent attempts to connect with Lawrence have been nothing less than disappointing. He has been deceitful regarding attempts to reach me, and has led me to believe that the company has no desire to move forward with me. Our final conversation resulted in a yelling match, and during the conversation I simply asked Lawrence to tell me the truth. He became defensive and combative, and out of retaliation and spite, sent me a denial letter following the conversation. At this point, I no longer have a desire to work for the company. Based on my interactions with Lawrence Snoody, he has led me to believe that the company either doesn't believe that I will stay long term, or just doesn't want to hire me at all. He stated that I was under consideration for the Document Specialist role, but his actions did not prove as such. Good luck to anyone applying to this company, as they are family owned/oriented if I recall correctly. If anyone out there has had experience with these types of companies, then you already get my drift. I wanted to share this experience because not only am I as an external applicant tired of dealing with such issues, I know that I am not alone. While I understand the delays that COVID has caused, I cannot excuse the lack of integrity and failure to simply tell me the truth about why I have been held up for a year or better with the position. I was going through the hiring process about the same time as Shannon and had quite the opposite experience with the HR department. The phone interviews conducted were two of the most comprehensive and naturally free flowing screening interviews I've experienced. There were some slight delays in email correspondence, myself included, which is natural, especially when a company is in the process of expanding into a second building, like cellular technologies limited was at the time. Secondly, CTL was conducting important research for Covid vaccines and therefore didn't close during the pandemic. They modified their schedule to protect the employees while still being able to conduct this vital research. I'm no longer affiliated with CTL. It's human nature to leave bad reviews and not good ones. Like many others, I read everything about a company during the interview process. I often find the negative reviews ARE true, but vastly blown out of proportion. I strongly recommend Cellular technologies limited for several reasons: It is a growing, science driven biotechnology company, which means they attract intelligent hard workers. They have great benefits, a diverse, multilingual team and a positive company culture. The work environment is beautiful because each office has a large window and there's an inhouse gardener who maintains the 1000s of plants and koi fish pond.
