Alter

Working with Grant at Alter and Company was a fantastic experience. Grant is professional, approachable and always very helpful. We were extremely pleased with all his work and have since recommended him to friends with a large house build project.

It's close to four years since the work on our cottage and barn conversion was finished. Leith was a pleasure to work, a brilliant creative yet pragmatic partner in the project to create our playful, dream family home.

Very Talented!!! great portfolio of work and a pleasure to work with.

I have worked alongside Alter on numerous projects. They are outstanding designers and architects in addition to being realistic and pragmatic in communicating and advising the client throughout. Fine attention to detail and no compromise on quality.

Being a creative director of digital company I have been hugely impressed by Alter & Company's attention to detail, originality of ideas and approach to the projects they undertake. Their process beautifully blends the holistic, aesthetic whilst crafting beautiful meaningful space and structures. They're great guys too!

A heady combination of creativity and collaboration with a healthy dose of practicality and a keen eye for process makes Alter&Co. a pleasure to work with. As featured on their website, they turned our eccentric 1930s 'box' into a beautiful and practical family home with great sensitivity and dedication. Highly recommended.

Having worked with Alter&Company in various different projects in and around London including my house, the experience has been 10 out of 10 at all times. They were employed on the project from conception to completion, responsible for the concept design, design development, project management and contract administration. Our brief was challenging as we had a tight timescale to work to and a restricted budget to allow us to 'fit in' all our items on our Client Brief. It is important to find a team that is able to communicate effectively and find proactive solutions. Alter&Company will provide that. Grant and Leith proved to be most capable in every respect, having sound knowledge about standard Architectural contract administration practices, detailing and problem solving. Alter&Company was responsible for submitting the planning application (both Householder and Certificate of Lawfulness), liaising with the planners and so on. Their problem solving is invaluable and they displayed an intimate knowledge of the project. Grant and Leith are highly talented, not just for design, but also in his manner with clients and his business discipline. The entire team are extremely diligent and willing to go the extra mile, they are friendly, honest and very patient throughout the creative process. I would highly recommend them to whoever wishes to engage a mature, level headed, extremely diligent and competent Architecture firm.

Grant & Leith of Alter & Co have been great to work with. We spent a lot of time researching and interviewing architects for our project. We chose Alter & Co because not only were they personable & we knew we would enjoy working with them, but they listened and immediately started sketching ideas with us in a passionate and considered manner. They interpreted our brief in a practical, yet innovative way; working in conjunction with their planning consultant from an early stage, to obtain permission far quicker than we anticipated. It has been a pleasure so far and we are excited to work with them on the next phase to realise our dream home.

I was recommended Alter & Company from a work colleague and I can see why. They are the most outgoing team of architects I have ever worked with - personable, passionate and caring for how I wish to use and live in my house. I commissioned them to remodel my house, they came to the table with very different ideas to other architects and they provoked much thought and discussion through the design process which has led to a far more satisfying design. Highly Recommended.

Excellent design solutions and great chaps to work with.
