Ciwa is a nice place to volunteer. Each person is very special and they help you feel part of the community. By volunteering you can practice your English, develop skills and meet new people.

Is an important organization that help newcomers women in their settlement into Canadian society.

Staff are very nice they will give you everything you need to help you.

Friendly staffs and beneficial programs; the building they are using is not easy access (people who need to go to classes need to waiting outside to have someone open the door on Friday and Saturday; washrooms are dirty.

Very informative and a learning centre for those who cannot speak or write English very well so you should visit this place after arrival to Canada will be very beneficial in future..

What a waste of time! 2 weeks ago I called to ask for help about employment insurance talked with HELEN on 3th floor she booked me for today at 1 pm. When I got here SHE WAS WITH A another CLIENT. She booked other person. She never registered my appointment WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

It's a great place to support newcomer women. I really appreciate all helps and supports from Titi Memar one of the great counsellor at CIWA. She helped me to find my way towards brighter future and I'm happy every day because of all decisions that she helped me to make. Thanks again!

The workshops are really educating and enlightening. The staff there are warm and welcoming. It s a great place to start for any newcomer(woman) to Canada

So sad and mad at the same time with the experience. The councellor was questioning everything I said.

As a former client who learned about CIWA the very first week that I entered Calgary, I can say the staff were really nice & willing to help. They went out of their way to help & support me the best way they could. But being an ex-employee gave me a new perspective of behind the scene: the poor management, bullying, disrespect, lack of support or even understanding are just some examples of how badly staff are being treated in this place!
I feel sorry for all the years that I wasted there even if the nature of my job was appealing to me..It was a mere nightmare for most of us & finally I lost my job due to gov. cut in funding.
I could easily give 5 negative stars if there was an option to do so. I am glad that I don't work there anymore.

Classes offered there are excellent! Specially the Interpreters program and office administration. Although some settlement counsellors and family counsellor are not good, they just don't want to help you, but there are some others that are really nice

CIWA is a Highly recommended organization for Immigrant Women and their families. When I was introduced to them as a new comer with several issues on settling in etc, I had no idea how much they had to offer till I visited. Their level of professionalism was impressive, I received a warm welcome and was attended to in a timely manner. The staff assigned to me was amazing, she kept following up to ensure I was comfortable. I got enrolled in one of their classes without any regrets. Their daycare facility and staff was great.

Fast and efficient service helful people with genuine good intents
