Absolute beast of a place, demands more than one visit and contains far more information than you can easily digest in one sitting. A truly world class collection of artifacts and displays. Highlight of our visit was the National Geographic wildlife photography display, truly stunning images. Full of things that you will not see elsewhere. Great for all the family to visit together. Plenty of amenities and spots to take a break and rest. I'd imagine it's possible to get lost in there! A must do if you are spending any length of time in Chicago.

Good museum in a beautiful building. The vast amount of exhibits is a bit overwhelming. The Egyptian section was vere well designed and informative. The evolution section that brings you to see Sue was also really neat. Cafeteria has many reasonable choices and the bathrooms are clean. You can easily spend an entire day here. Worth a visit.

So great! I loved getting to see Sue and learning about the evolution of our planet. There are constantly new 3D movies and specialty exhibits to see as well. We saw the National Geographic best photos of the year exhibit, it was very moving. It is a very neat place to get lost for a couple hours.

One of the best natural history museums out there. I especially like their paleontological exhibit structured around the five mass extinction events. Schedule at least four hours to have adequate time for a non-hurried visit.

This museum is a classic! I wish more Chicagoans would come to enjoy it, as the majority of visitors seem to be tourists. They have an array of classic exhibits, as well as the always interesting ones they have seasonally. Some may be deterred by the price, but how often does one have a world class museum in their backyard?

Nice museum. Parking was a bit hectic. Museum has three levels with multipl different exibits. Some exibits require you to pay more to see them. We purchased the all-access pass to get into all four premuim exibits. All exibits including the basic and premium were nice. Some exibits had staff members which explained a few things - pretty neat.

I tend to head to the Field later in the afternoon and I go knowing what I intend to see. Getting there I always take public transit, the 146 bus drops you across the street from the entrance. The last visit was to see tattoo exhibition. It was a Sunday afternoon and the bears were out of town. Travel was a breeze, there were no lines, we got in right away and headed straight for the exhibit. I don't generally eat there but we always head down to the lower level for a bio break and to check out Bushman and the narwhals. There is a ton of good stuff at this museum, one visit does not do it justice.

Great museum! It's well-curated and has something for everybody. It's also a very large museum so make sure you allocate enough time to see all of the museum exhibits. If you really wanted to see it all, you could easily spend the whole day here.

Very impressive permanent collection, the number of animals in display are practically endless! Spent half a day and I only managed to see one floor, warrants a repeated visit to see the rest, plus the special exhibitions (separate ticket required).

I have wanted to come for a while because of being a Brain Scoop fan. This museum is great!! I only managed to see the animals exhibit and the dinosaurs but it was a great day. I spent about 4 hours between the two exhibits. Really had a great day! Would be happy to come back!

Wonderful for the whole family! Special exhibits are highly interactive and educational across the ages. Traditional exhibits showcase history in terms of the gallery themes and the social influences when they were created.

The Field Museum is an adventure for the whole family. Its numerous rooms and collections are impressive. The Sue Tyrannosaurus room is fantastic and of course the fossils of many dinosaur species. The halls of Egypt, Mesoamerica, Africa and the Atlantic have a wide variety of objects. Not forgetting the collections of stuffed animals.

A world class museum. While some of the long-standing exhibits are getting a bit long in the tooth, it is still well worth visiting - and, for the dinosaur lovers, Field is an absolute go to.

Best experience ever. We really enjoyed the museum besides the walking. There was stuff for all ages. The staff and facility was top notch. You can go multiple times a year and still not see it all. We will be back many more times.
