Perfect place for breakfast with ocean views! It was lovely for couples or families. The food was reasonably priced and their juice was freshly made which was a bonus! Their coffee was nice also and the breakfast burger was very tasty.

It is easy to get to however parking in Cronulla can be difficult.

Remote location and amazing views. Spectacular food and the most friendly staff ever. Has a great ambience and provides a new and edgy space to have a comforting and wholesome meal. Would definitely come back for a great meal with friends and family.

Very poor service! It took 90 minutes to get our entree. Then while we were eating our entree the main meals arrived at the table. We told them we didn't want them yet- as we were still eating our entree. 30 seconds after our entree was cleared our main meals arrived- not hot but room temperature! The management were very arrogant in how they dealt with late meals. They did not even accept responsibility but instead blamed us. No hint of an apology, or even a free coffee for making us wait so, so long for food.

An amazing seafood spectacle! Views are insane. We ordered 3 seafood platters for 8 people (2guys 6 girls) and it was more than enough. Vanessa our waiter was always making sure our glasses were full and we were happy! Really impressed by everything all round. Only negative (but does not drop a star rating) they need to control the flies! Invest in repellant tech!

Went for dinner, charming restaurant but go during the daylight for views. A bit expensive, but amazing table service. Overall food was good but took a while to come out. Reccomended: scallop entree, sticky pudding, potatoes, all amazing. Not reccomended: steak, it was a bit tough despite being medium.

View was absolutely stunning, interior matches so well with ocean view. We were surprised with food quality. Though we waited too long for our order, we received more than enough apologize, and free drink offer. I suggested something sweet instead and the manager happily offered a nice muffin. Service was very warm, we easily ignored the accident of forgotten order. Nice friendly service team and food, beautiful view, it's worthy to visit as many times as possible.

Great views but that is where it goes downhill the last couple of times they have not remembered our booking so shoved us in a corner and only given 2hrs to enjoy food and company and then they kick you out literally. Owners extremely rude and disconnected from public. Staff continually apologizing for the rudeness he extends to their patrons. Feel very sorry for staff. There are many better places to eat so will not be returning to Zimzala again where the only thing going for it is location.

We were looking forward to a beautiful lunch at Zimzala to celebrate my brother's birthday. My parents had come to Sydney from Interstate for the celebration. As a local I always take guests to Zimzala for a special Cronulla treat and have not been disappointed in the past.
The weather was amazing and the view was spectacular. Unfortunately, the meal and service were incredibly disappointing. We were a table of 11 including a couple of children. The young waitress seemed overwhelmed by having to take our orders and she was completely anxious about one of our guests having an egg allergy. She made several trips back and forth to discuss food options with the chef (an experienced waiter would have only made one!) This is not our complaint but demonstrates her anxiety and lack of competence/training. The remainder of our guests were decisive about the meals and the orders were taken quickly.
The children's meals arrived within a satisfactory time frame however the adults waited for their meals for over an hour. During this time, the waitress did not keep us in the loop about the delay but finally informed us after much questioning that the meal would be ready in a couple of minutes. The meal arrived shortly after but the salmon was cold as if it had been sitting on the bench for awhile. Not only was the salmon cold but it included a fried tomato (which looked like left overs from the breakfast meal and tasted disgusting). I have had this meal previously and really enjoyed it (I do not remember ugly fried tomatoes included though).
When one of the guests pointed out to the waitress the tardiness of the meal and that they were cold. The waitress' anxiety increased and instead of trying to respond to the complaint she suggested that she would call the manager.
After some time, the manager arrived and did not introduce himself. Instead he leaned over the table in an intimidating manner and said in a booming voice (making a scene) "what's your problem?". The manager was incredibly rude, defensive and did not provide an adequate explanation for our complaints. Instead he said "what are you complaining about?" In response to the meal being served over an hour after it was ordered he said "Do you think that was long?" (Yes, we did) He then said "You had bread (which we had ordered for ourselves - it was not complimentary) and look at this view". As we could see that he was not willing at all to acknowledge the disappointing experience we had had, we had decided to let it go. We were begrudgingly offered free coffee which we did not accept because by that time we just wanted OUT OF THERE!!!!!! All we wanted was an explanation and recognition of our complaint with an apology.
I can not underscore how disappointed I was especially since the meal was extremely expensive for 11 guests.
To the waitress - keep your other job as you really were useless and to the manager - find another project which does not require customer service.
To the lovely waitress who served my husband and I when we first arrived - we wish you were on our table!
You can do better than this Zimzala! Don't rest on your laurels because there is a view. The view is free and peanut butter and jam sandwiches are a lot cheaper!!!!!

My best friend used to bring visitors regularly to Zimzala... until one day when we were there, having breakfast, with friends from Melbourne.

There were egg shells throughout my friend's breakfast. We kindly asked if the kitchen could make another one. Within minutes the owner came steam-rolling out abusing us for sending the food back. We weren't complaining and were happy to pay for it, but just wanted a replacement. Instead of apologising, he proceeded to defend his kitchen, saying that sometimes you get egg shells in your food - "get over it". My best friend pulled the owner aside and asked him to stop causing a scene as it was embarrassing for both him and us. He then told my friend that if he didn't like it, he could leave and never come back.

And that's exactly what we did. The owner's aggressive behaviour turned my stomach. My friends, myself and everyone else I know have never gone back.

The location is stunning and sadly no amount of bad reviews will stop tourists from going there... but I just thought you should know.

Took too long for food to come. Waited over an hour. Also the waiter was wearing sunglasses on his head. A bit rude. Too expensive for what it was. The pasta was flavorless. Wouldn't recommend.

Easter long weekend - Friday 30 March 2018, I booked in for lunch at Zimzala Cronulla. So looking forward to a really good hearty, tasty meal with relaxing views of the water. Public Holiday, Naturally a 15% surcharge applies. I ordered 'Cone Bay Barramundi, pan fried w steam asparagus and lemon dressing'. Sounds mouthwatering, doesn't it. Upon arrival of my dish, bitterly disappointed. My Barramundi was smaller than the size of my palm and about 0.5cm thick with 4 shriveled pieces of steam asparagus about 10 cm's long and a few bits of leaves scattered across the plate to make it look substantial - beautiful presentation, but for the price of 39.00 - what I got was a paltry piece of fish and 4 twigs of a vegetable. Exceptionally overpriced and the whole meal was laden with oil that remained as a disgusting aftertaste for quite some time. I know Zimzala is not your average priced restaurant, but I at least expect to get a decent serving of food for the extortion prices they charge. to make it worth my while at the very least.

Will never come back. I've been going to Zimzala for years but after todays experience I sadly won't be returning. A friend booked a table for breakfast for 10 people for her birthday. Staff did not take our orders until 30 minutes of us being there. When the food arrived there was no cutlery and we all individually had to ask for knives and forks. Food was average. As the man brought the cake to the table and served it to us (after we had sung happy birthday) he told us there was a $5 cakeage fee and it was too late. When the bill came we were disgusted to find out that we had been charged $50 for the cake as the $5 was per person. They did not give us cutlery or serviettes to eat the cake with and were very rude when we asked about the fee.
