Excellent and fairly authentic Chicago style pizza.

Customer service, great! Taste has been on point since I was a kid going to Claremont Middle School right across the street! And the putting the meat under the cheese, genius!!!

This place was voted "best in the West" for a reason. Amazing deep dish (they call them "stuffed") pizza pies. There's always a wait - even for picking up a carry-out order - so plan accordingly.

Their deep pie is one of my favorites. We got the "half baked" and finished it up at home. Before we walked around the neighborhood off the main street. It's such beautiful area. Last time we were there, they No slices only full pies.

I moved away 20+ years ago and have eaten deep dish pizza in Chicago on multiple visits and nothing beats Zachary's.

Was good but i felt was over-hyped. Patxi's is still my favorite.

Best deep dish pizza this side of Chicago. Plan for your pizza to take about 45-60 minutes to bake after placing your order.

Friggin good pizza here. It was very filling. I called and ordered for pickup to avoid the wait.

The premium for a local institution: always busy, a bit overpriced, and a "hustle-along" vibe that kind of betrays the spirit of a friendly pizza joint. I recommend grabbing a huge single slice at lunchtime and continuing your walk through the Rockridge neighborhood.

We're visiting from Australia and never had Chicago style pizza until I went here! We ordered a large thinking 'oh yeah that should be enough' not realising that this pizza could easily feed at least 4 maybe 5 people - let's just say we had epic leftovers for a few days
Also the person that took our order was so nice and super accommodating when it came to our dietary requirements. Couldn't recommend this place more. Definitely go here!

It isn't to Chicago standards but for Bay Area pizza, it's terrific.

Not my taste. We had the weekly special which was q deep dish chicken and pepperoni but was topped with some kind of hot tomato sauce which we thought ruined the whole pizza

Great pizza! Thin crust and the stuffed pizza are both great. Service was good and the pizza takes a while to cook. About 30 minutes in the oven. One of the better pizza spots in the Bay area!

IMO the best Chicago pizza around. If you don't believe me try going there for dinner you likely wait a while.

Great pizza. Loved that they have the half baked pizza option which you can enjoy at home.
Their medium pizza can easily fill up 3-4 people.

Exellent deep dish pizza. Our large must have weighed at least 10lbs.

We ordered the stuffed style Zachary's special, stuffed style BBQ chicken, and thin crust pizza Blanca. The BBQ chicken was too sweet but the dough on all of them was great. The pizza Blanca was my favorite because Chicago style isn't really my thing. If I was just reviewing the food, it would be 5 stars, but the service was extremely slow and inattentive. They took our drink orders as soon as we sat down, but 30 minutes later we still didn't have our drinks. We had to flag down our waitress and remind her about our drinks. Finally after sitting for over an hour, our pizzas came out. Our hunger might have added to the quality of the pizza, but nonetheless we enjoyed the food.

Excellent so hot also very fresh we enjoyed every bite for a wonderful dinner

Love the pizza. Ingredients are super fresh. The only downside is that it's sometimes hard to get through when you call to make the order. If you order there it takes roughly 45 mins before it's done

Some addictive Chicago deep dish. The mushroom spinach and chicken option is basically everything I want in a pizza. Wait times can get a little ridiculous though.

Purchased a half baked deep dish spinach and mushroom pizza ! Take it home and bake at 450F for 15 minutes. Best pizza ever!

If you love pizza like I do, Zachary s is the place for you. Great choices, amazing flavor, and fun staff. I love the deep dish pizzas!! Bring the family, but get here early, or order to go. I hope you ll love it as much as I do!!!!

I like their thin crust pizzas w the wheat dough. Good food. A little pricey but good quality and decent service.

Wait is definitely worth it. If there is a wait they cam take you order so you aren't waiting as long for food once you are seated. Service was excellent and the food amazing. First time trying Chicago deep crust...never knew eating pizza with a fork and knife would be so good! Youll have to find street parking but shouldn't have too much issues finding it as there are a lot in the main street and neighborhood. Like i said earlier the wait 9n a weekend is long, we waited 40 minutes. You can also do take out instead of dining in.

First time back to Zachary's after 10 years. The deep dish pizza was not the same. The watery sauce ruined the pizza for everyone at my table. Because it was not cooked down the flavor of the sauce did not come through. Freshly made or not knowone likes sawggy dough.

Amazing service with a smile also they have gluten free pizza with a little bit of cross contamination cause of there other pizzas but still my favorite.

Love the Zachary Special, deep dish. Get a large, leftover heat up very well in a toaster oven.

Great pizza place that will leave you impressed. They specialize in Chicago style deep dish pizzas with lots of tomato sauce. They also offer flat pizzas if you really don't like the deep dish. All in all I would say I personally don't prefer the deep dish but I can tell you if I ever get that craving, this will be the first place I come. Tables are limited but we didn't have much problem getting a seat, service was fast-ish and waiter was funny.

4/21/2018. The pizza at this location will not disappoint you. I order the medium Good Health Specialty Pizza and one Mint Ice Tea. The order turned out to be $50 tip and tax included. It was a little busy but we were seated pretty quick.

Awesome deep dish pizza that you may find difficult to stop eating. Friendly waiters/waitresses. Casual environment. Very crowded, especially at dinner, and even more especially on weekends, but the pizza is really worth the wait.

The pizza is really good. One of the best pizza in the Bay Area hands down. They are generous with the ingredients unlike other pizza chains. Their pizza and ingredients are fresh and its quality that you can taste.

Usually, a pizza order at Zachary's is perfect. Unfortunately, they got it wrong last night. The same regular order was botched. Of course, you can't see it until you get home. Anyway, Zachary's is almost always a 4-5 star rating. I look forward to upgrading our experience and rating next time.

Lots of pushing and shoving from the kids across the street. They knocked the pizza out of my hand and when I asked for another slice, despite seeing what happened they said that I would have to pay. They allow rambunctious kids to scream and push but won't give u another if they knock it out of your hand

For the first timers will be odd to find a pizza with tomato son the top instead of inside so in other words an upside down pizza but give it a chance it will grow on you after max 4 times then you are hooked for life. Tumps up.

Just great pizza. Was bummed that I couldn't eat it when I became vegan. But o wait. They have have vegan cheese and crust! Tastes good too. And my name is Zack. So there is that.

It looked very busy so I went in. Nothing like real pizza from Chicago. Great staff, but I came here to eat, oh well.....

AMAZING!! best place in the bay for pizza. Don't go here hungry. Make sure once you get seated order right away or it will take extra to get your food. Dont rush, just enjoy the meal.

Food and service were great. We got there right before closing, but they had no problem seating and serving us. We did have to ask for the check - our waitress abandoned us at the end of the meal. No stars off though because we did show up right before closing.

Can't say enough about this East Bay legend. The deep dish, sayce on top pizza is amazing. It does take a while to get your food but well worth it every time. The place is a bit small and you may have to wait for a table during dinner hours but go ahead and put in your order, order a beer and by the time your pie is done you will be sitting down and starting on your second drink. You will love this quirky spot and if you are a budding artist (or not) enter the art contest ad maybe your creation will find a spot on their wall.

The deep dish is amazing and so worth the wait. I split the barbecue chicken deep dish with a friend and I 10/10 recommend.

The pizza here is amazing, no matter what you order. This restaurant is always very crowded but worth the wait. The service is great, even with the crowds.

Busy restaurant, but pizza is awesome! The Chicken Mushroom is delicious! Takes extra time to cook, but worth the wait!
