During normal times this is one of the best club lounges in the area. Yesterday we were looking for a venue for a wake. None of the pubs were available. However we were told that the manager could be contacted to see if anything could be arranged. We await the conversation later today.

Held birthday party in function room overlooking the course with view of downs in the distance. We had a sit down meal of roast beef which was top quality and cooked to absolute perfection. The house Malbec was excellent and complemented the beef wonderfully well. Non beefeaters had salmon and house pinot, which was also well received. Staff and service were great throughout. Small kids were able to play on the putting green outside the function room. Bigger kids had a go on the driving range. In brief, we had a fantastic party here, and highly recommend the venue and staff for making this an unforgettable event.

The greens on this course are awful. The warm weather will of course make the fairways a challenge but there s no excuse to have greens with sections you d be better off chipping over (Hole 5), holes in them from birds we think (several but 17th) and small weeds you have to putt over (several but 18th for reference).

At these green fees, there s got to be better options.

32 degrees when we played last Saturday and we only saw the drinks cart when we were approaching the 17th green. They d be better off parking at one central spot.

The starter was friendly and knowledgeable so they get an extra star for him but I won t be back.

Nice easy and forgiving course. Good facilities, range, pro shop, club house etc and the staff are great. However, I know it s 2020, and golf is and should be an inclusive game, but there is no reason for anyone to play the game with their top off or wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I do not care about your background, it s just good manners. Also litter is a problem. Seeing bottles of beer thrown in bushes when there is a bin on nearly every hole, is just the height of ignorance. This isn t the clubs fault I guess but maybe some warning signs and threats of banning people from the course might be worth considering. Overall though, lucky to have this on the door step but I d never become a member unless they addressed some of those issues!

The course plays very well, very good for high handicappers and it s maintain to a good standard. The staff are split 50/50 between those who understand how customer service works and genuinely do a good job and others that are far too lippy and seem to forget the customer pays the course therefore keeping them in a job. They need not look any further than Kent to see golf courses are tumbling down. Being polite costs nothing and may just keep you in a job.

Range facilities are in desperate need of refurbishment. Playing many other courses around Kent, Chelsfield is drastically behind here. The chipping area and putting greens however are up there with the best of the many courses I have played.

Sadly the main let down for a lot of courses and in particular this one, is the staff attitude. I wouldn t play the course again based on the attitude of those behind the pro shop counter.

Average but pricey course and run down driving range (mean range mats like concrete). Car Wash is a bit in your face on arrival. Staff seem arrogant, seem to want to make fun of you on arrival and will not hesitate to get cheeky. The cheap Cray Valley Courses are better.

Booked a surprise 40th party for wife on 23rd November.
Wonderful experience working with the team. All of them so enthusiastic and warm. They helped with decorations.. trying some new things during the party.
I was never rushed or pushed to make decisions.
Communications was excellent. All written and clear.
All queries were resolved swiftly.
Food was very tasty and allergies were well catered for.
It was a successful event .. so I will highly recommend this venue

We went there to get the car washed, at the end of the day, after the school pick up.
They did a fine job. It was cold but they did not rush the job and were polite.
It was better priced than Olleys car wash in Orpington. The staff were more polite at the Chelsfield Lakes Golf course car wash.
The only problem was, there is no where warm to stay, while they cleaned the car. Minor problem.
That is my experience, see what you think.!!!

We attended a private function on 22/03/18, we were in the small room at the front which was very comfortable & just right for a small gathering. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The only thing that let this establishment down was the food my husband & I had the roast dinner I had beef he had chicken the roast potatoes were not well done they were burnt black & there were no trimmings with the roasts no Yorkshire pudding or any horseradish sauce / mustard to go with the beef & no stuffing with the chicken, gravy was already added to our plated meal not everyone likes gravy. Our starters & desserts were of an acceptable standard.

Lovely setting. Celebrating a Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Food was fresh and hot, only comment was that the cake dessert had been cut earlier as it was a bit dry in places. Staff serving and behind bar very friendly and efficient. Would recommend for small gatherings

Greens are in a great condition and very receptive.

Staff were friendly, breakfast and coffee were both nice and I played great despite the strong wind.

My only small criticism was the bunkers, pretty much all the ones I saw had some quite large and sharp stones in them. Luckily I only ended up in 1 fairway bunker and the ball was sitting up; I was worried I'd damage my clubs.

I would still come back as the course has an interesting layout, especially the front 9.

Quite lush considering we've had hardly any rain! Shortish course with its own little challenges. We generally play very well here and score big Stamford wise.. early 30s to early 40s off 7 so good score to be had indeed.. food is a good standard too..

Course was in great condition. Fairways like walking on carpet. Greens quick and true. Not long but doglegs demand precision and careful consideration of options off the tee. Will definitely return.
