Strange organisation, security check is before gates rather than at the entrance, after that you are enclosed in a small place and if your flight is delayed you'll turn crazy. Like they bought 4 times the necessary machines to check baggage, probably someone got a huge commission when ordering them... Also mens bathrooms are smelly (more than the usual :-)

The luggage is always on to usually unfriendly, little helper-friendly staff equipped switches. Very strange that you have to pass through the passport control and the security takes place at the gates. This regularly leads to long lines and seats in front of the gates are in short supply.
Flight-related services can be expected at the gates of AirSerbia, while all other airlines are responsible for a rather incompetent transfer desk. If you want to Something from Lufthansa or Austrian you have to again out by the passport control or the staff at the transfer desk clearly to call the airline.
As a rule, traffic at the airport is punctual, a trick on the few flights that are handled there. Woe, it's snowing, when defrosting this airport is very underachieving and creates just 2 aircraft per hour (as happened on 15.12.2018).
Connection to public transport: No indication, only by taxi (can issue fixed price voucher for DIN 1,800 = about 13 ). The taxi ride itself takes about 15 - 20 minutes to Belgrade city center.

The organization is awful. We waited to hand over our luggage for the morning flight for 1 hour until we were eventually pulled out by an attendant so we wouldn't be late for the flight. After that we were greeted with a queue before passport control, then a queue for passport control. Neither a smaller airport nor a larger crowd.

You cannot take water with you in the gate, which is bad in case you need to take depon or aspirine or anything that requires water.
Worst airport in queues as well, since queues are exactly before the gate and you need to stand still for around 1 hour before you reach the gate.
You have few employees, passport control can not achieve the slope of people much waiting for 3 counters closed. One of the only restaurants to offer warm food in the dutyfree zone where half an hour is waiting for an order because there is no capacity. Lot of improvement over the years, but staff need to be checked out, lot of arrogance, unfriendly and rude,,,, my experience with border service make me feel bad after they pull me out of line to check my bags, if is anything to declare. They ask what is the value in the bags, I we agreed it is about $400 Australian one bag personal things clothes and shoes, second bag gifts for families ,they told me you have to pay 30% tax, and they calculate $200 need to be paid before I can take bags and passports back, We try to explain it is wrong calculation , .than lady said, look I can see is hard to deal with you we will call police, .Tired after 24 hours flight duration we pay 14.000din ($200) left counter, with our bags and passports, with not even told sorry for inconvenience, and wrong calculation, this is my experience, they not deserve any star,

The airport continues to improve year-on-year, but for heaven's sake GET RID OF THE TAXI SCAMMERS. They continue to lurk around arrivals and prey on unwitting tourist. It's bad enough they are still downtown, but the airport CAN regulate this.

Great airport, nice duty free shop with few designer stores BOSS Victoria Secret etc plus some classy boutique souvenir shops. Coffee always good, be careful at self serve restaurant on first floor by gates entrance. Check out the chef and facilities before you order, you can see if you walk around premises. Other than that all good.
Very good. No queues anywhere, efficient, very good pizza after the passport control. The only minus is that the security lanes are at each boarding gate, making it impossible to buy water in the airport and take it to the plane.

Dirty outside and inside. Wet knots are a disaster with broken and dirty boards on toilet cups, garbage cans full of some liquid. No flight information, no cheeky staff, nose up as if they were on an airfield in Seoul (who knew what I was writing about). Parking is unmarked, there is no sign for Rental Cars, so people turn to "ordinary" parking and they have to pay the surcharge just as they entered because none of the responsible people posted signposts in a visible place. Parking lot full of garbage, garbage cans not empty, lots of holes. you are far from any normal airport in the world and your hygiene is far from anything European. SRAMOTA
Extremely disappointed to have made a stopover in Belgrade. First and last time I set foot in this airport. Very rude security staff. They managed to tell us that alcohol was not allowed while they let others pass before our eyes. We also bought duty free spirits. We understood nothing, saw nothing happen. They didn't even want to listen to us ... They respect the rules at the head of the person.

Nice airport, the only thing that is missing and because of that is 4 instead of 5 star is prayer rooms. They don`t have prayer rooms so if you are waiting you need to pray somewhere in waiting rooms.
