Both our kids have gone to Young and Amazing. The centre celebrates diversity throughout the year highlighting all sorts of cultural celebrations. The environment, the staff, and the philosophy that is applied to bringing out the best in each child is only some of what makes this centre so special. It's a real partnership between parents and the centre.

This daycare centre is amazing. Our son started in Jan 2015 and loves this centre. We've never had any issues with drop offs - he usually runs to see his teachers and friends as soon as we arrive, unlike other centres in the past. The centre is very popular and has a big wait list, we had to put our new baby on as soon as she was born and the intakes for when she starts were full not long after so I advise if you're interested in Y&A put your name down early and be prepared to wait approx. 12 months - unless you get lucky and someone leaves! The centre itself is beautiful with classes separated into 4 age groupings and classes no bigger than 22 children. The facilities are amazing and I love the multi-cultural environment. Kids of all nationalities and genders welcome and currently the children are all learning about Matariki and maori culture which is great! Cannot recommend Y&A highly enough!

Going by the photos it has all the trappings that you desire to have your toddler in however don't bother trying to book in as they are completely FULL until mid next year (2015) and even if you insist that it is okay they won't even put you on the waiting list. You will be kindly advised that taking information would be pointless then you will be quickly referred to another local day care by the centre director and ushered out the door. Felt discriminated against as I have never known a daycare to not consider putting you on a waiting list unless of some prejudice. Obviously ignorant to the fact the daycare is in multi cultural Onehunga. If you do get a chance to enrol your child make sure you read the review from the Education Review Office (ERO) - currently none.

My daughter has been going to Young & Amazing since the beginning of 2014 and she absolutely loves it there. The staff are incredible with all the children and Kerri, the owner, has an amazing memory for everybody's names, parents & children alike. We were lucky to get our names down not long after they opened but as it is such an amazing day care the waiting list has grown and grown. Knowing Kerri, she wouldn't want to disappoint any potential new families by putting their names down with no possibility of having a place. All in all a 5 out of 5 day care.
