Renovations look good but quite different to the original style which bothered me a bit
Renovations look good but quite different to the original style which bothered me a bit
An architectural pearl! Nice to see a fascinating new sculpture in the square.
An excellent renovation that many towns could take note of
Beautiful location and the kids bookshop is amazing!
Great improvements to an iconic building. Interesting place to visit.
Well renovated, needs more shops, I bet it's perfect in the summer
Newly renovated well worth a visit. A mix of bars, shops and cafes
Lovely place to spend time, relax, shop and have lunch
One of my favourite places. Beautiful restoration, amazing mix of shops, including eateries, and such a friendly place. Fabulous event space and very close to the station.
Beautiful scenary and calming atmosphere. And gothic victorian architecture.
Lots of nice little independent shops but most are overpriced. Nice cafe. All around the outside of a large courtyard which could be made more attractice by adding some greenery instead of all the concrete. Not impressed.
A lovely place to visit even on a drizzly day during covid
It a nice place to go on a summers day. But the bars are a bit pricey.
If you haven t been then you should do. Such a lovely place to walk round and look in the shops. The sweet shop is yummy. Also sometimes have good entertainment on.
Absolutely the heart of Halifax, love it here and all the shops have their own unique personalities. Make sure you go to top floor to see them all and the escape room is ace.
Really interesting place. Lots of independent shops, that are reasonably priced. Museum is well set out. Plenty to do including several eating places. Free heritage guide runs a few times daily. Highly recommended.
A great place, especially since it is completely renovated. And those shops, workshops in the arcades - a revelation. It is a sin to be in Halifax and not be there.
Enjoy the location, architecture and variety of stores in the beautiful location.
They have done lots of work to the piece hall in recent years, hopefully it takes off as a lovely hub of activity for years to come
The refurbishment of this beautiful building looks great and I look forward to more shops opening
Who would have expected to find such a gem in Halifax Amazing place. Full of history.
Looks nice and clean after the renovation. Could do with a little bit of grass inside, or some trees, as it is very bare. To say there are a fair number of shops inside, there is very little to buy or do (when considering the size of the place.
Relaxing shopping trip ended by coffee n cake in the Trading Rooms
Lots of history, worth picking up the Halifax treasure trail also.
Hard work wheeling up incline, not entirely wheelchair friendly
What a treasure, beautiful place, lots of small artisan shops and places to sit and have a coffee taking in atmosphere . We took our dog and was welcome in nearly all the shops, great place and great architecture.
A really good experience, learning about the history of the site and enjoying a coffee.
Brilliant place, with lots of fabulous little independent shops and coffee bars, oh and a great gin bar.
An amazing historical establishment to visit with plenty of shops. There's a book shop, sweet shop, awesome hairdressers and some lovely paintings on the stairwells. My only qualm is that the signage of each shop looks the same so it can be hard to find the shop you are looking for.
Should absolutely be using this place more. Get more acts and bands here. We saw Father John Misty in May and it was incredible here. Only draw backs were lack of toilets and not enough food stalls.
Love this place for all the Family it's amazing
Time out hear is very nice and loads to see
And do highly recommended
A good selection of shops, cafes & bars but not great value for money. A white elephant tourist trap. Come and have a look around but then check out what the rest of Halifax has to offer! Some awesome places nearby that are leagues ahead of some of the establishments inside.
An excellent refurbishment but many retail outlets are empty.
The volunteer was so interesting telling us about Halifax, even engaged the teenagers!
Visited during covid 19 so things were very quiet. Its an amazing space and I can imagine it is jumping in normal times. Some quirky shops that you certainly don't find on the High Street. Lovely restaurants. Will visit again if I find myself in the area again
Love the transformation of the Piece Hall. Absolutely stunning
A very special location. Great place to take your camera.
Great place to visit good bars and cafes also with unique shops
Beautiful building with lots of places for a meal or just a coffee. The shops are interesting and varied - a perfect place to look for a gift.
Lovely place to go to lots of lovely lndenpent shops
Fantastic and iconic venue in Halifax. Plenty of classy and cooky shops, but not all of the units are full yet.
Only a few minutes from the train station.
Imagine a bigger, outdoor version of Leeds Corn Exchange.
There is something always going on. A Great venue with a Great Christmas Atmosphere.
Interesting history. Beautiful architecture. Good choice of food and drink places.
The Piece Hall has recently reopened after a major refurbishment, It is a real Yorkshire Gem....and regularly hosts evening concerts , and Themed weekend events, for kids and families, and the many visitors that come to Halifax to see ' What all the Shoutings about', On the edge of The Woolshops Complex and a stride from the Historic Town center, with the Victorian Borough Market.....and before you go home....Visit Halifax Minster.....you might even get a cuppa.....Enjoy your day....
Nice to see a place being brought back. Remember coming here as a kid, hope to return if any live music, bands in the summer months.
Currently, half of UK stores can close at 4 o'clock, so be sure to check the business hours by phone.
For museums, please make sure that they are accepted online.
It's a fun and nice place, but today, the shops close at 4 o'clock
Only one cafe was opened.
Great refurb project will be better when all units are occupied
Stunning newly renovated building, full of small eclectic range of shops bars and restaurants with big courtyard event space in the middle. Enjoyed my potter around. Plenty of parking nearby. Also near the centre of Halifax. Well worth a visit.
Although I think they should have left all the cobbles what they have done adding little water falls for children too paddle in and all the cafes and the ice cream parlour has made it better
Great vibe, even in these socially distanced times. Lovely shops, great bars and restaurants, all safely run. We enjoyed every minute.
Cool place, a few nice little shops. Toilet facilities. Need to fill the empty spaces to make it more inviting.
A wonderful place with an amazing history , some really great shops
Absolutely stunning architecture. View as soon as before the Council decide it is worthy of "development."
A tribute to our Victorian past.
Grade 1 listed building with designer shops and a couple of bars,
There are unique and very interesting shops in a historical place
This is always well worth a visit, the shops are interesting and varied, and there is always something going on. This year the Hygge tent has been replaced by two carnival-theme tents. This has created a different atmosphere; one of drinking more than socialising! That being said, the bar tent is pretty inside with stained glass and separate booths (though they do look a bit ramshackle from the outside), and the events on offer have something for everyone.
Lots to do even on a rainy day, antique shops fun to browes
Excellent place to visit the restoration of the building is awesome. Shops restaurant and bars
A fabulous building but still too many empty units to make it worth more than hour's worth. Unless you plan on eating. There's some great food available.
Fantastic building, great selection of interesting independent shops. It is possible to get refills of washing liquids, fabric conditioner etc. if you take your own container, helping reduce plastic waste.
A great place to see and walk around, lucky to have the sun shining, i imagine it looks great at night too if lit well. Little shops to explore and different places to eat.
I adore the piece hall and even if I didn't live in hx i would still come to savour the unique atmosphere we went in a l the shops but the one that impressed me most was the antique shop in the top right corner above the loos what a massive More
Lovely place however really need to get more shops in the empty units, it's a bit sparse for shopping
Lovely place to be with great shops and restaurants
Ended up here after a few years of living away. It's remarkable what they've done with the place. Beautiful water features, shops and atmosphere, coupled with the history - it's worth a look if you're ever in the area.
