INCREDIBLE PLACE!
A MUST VISITED PLACE when you're in the UK!

All you will get is the wondering stuff inside and outside.
I was so lucky at that time because I could hear the choir was practicing inside the building! It was so beautiful voice while I traveled around the mister, I almost cried!
Its sculptures, arts, and everything made me so amazed. My mind flies to 1000 years ago!
On the top minster, I could see whole of the York, its all worthed!
And the museum was also so goooddd, too good even!
That was the precious moment i'll never forget.

I ve be there to say. Please, I pray for a rainbow for the one I missed died in surgery m.
And then, God gave me a rainbow and preacher as commitment.

Im a bit torn on this one. Its a great place to visit with awe inspiring architecture. There is lots to see inside as you can head down into the crypt to see some of the old roman walls. The many many..... many steps to the top (Be warned there are alot) are so worth the view in nice weather conditions. Its just a shame that you have to pay to even get into the cathedral (It used to be free to go inside and then pay wxtra for the crypt and tower). Still worth it though if you have never been.

Breathtaking. The detail and dedication are extensively shown in this huge cathedral. It is a remarkable experience - especially if you join for a service in which case, entry is free!

Very Beautiful architecture. Could not admire enough. We were just outside as the public admission was closed for service.

Unfortunately I didn't get to go in. Due to the virus and social distancing everything needs to be booked in advanced.. But the surrounding area and building are beautiful.. As this is a very popular venue I would highly advise anyone to check online and book well in advance. If you are planning to visit..

Marvellous place, worth the entry fee. View from tower superb (if you dont mind heights. English heritage at it's best.

a really lovely old building the art work they put on the outside you could just look at the building for hours . and the Minster inside just sit down and have a really good look

Fantastic building. Definitely a must see when you're in York. Just a pity about the scaffolding.

Great experience. So much historical architecture. If visiting then should attend free tours given by the minister volunteers.

Impressive architecture, history and ambience. What a glorious place of worship. I really wish we could have had more time here.

It's a stunning place to go no doubt of that both outside and in. Must admit I was a little surprised at the charge per person inside to go around. I get it though, plenty of upkeep costs in a place like this but I didnt feel that I wanted to pay that to walk around a church and mainly that's why the 4* from me as I felt that's a little too much for something that there are a lot of in this country, although I understand its importance etc. If it's your thing I think you'll love going 8n and taking your time walking around.

Went to see The Northern Lights experience. It was stunning, breathtaking and definitely unique!! Well done York Minster for holding such an imaginative and well organised event.

Beautiful cathedral, central to the history of York. A must-see.

Massive cathedral. The gardens has a play area as well. If you are one for Architecture then do not miss this place. There is a road train ride between the Minister and the Train Museum. So if you only have a short time in York, then this is the two attractions that are must do.

I know it is timely to mention this in the light of the terrible damage to Notre Dame, but York Minster reminds you that we can always repair historic buildings to be in keeping with the original. You can't tell that 35 years ago this building was set on fire by lightening.

Very busy nice place could not get parked know better next time park and ride best option.

One of the largest Gothic cathedrals in northern Europe, it dominates the skyline of ancient York.

Too expensive.
Sad to not have gone in but happy to have saved the money for 4 people.

Beautiful but didn't go inside as the entrance fee is ridiculous. What happened to donations inside a church ?

I found the Architecture absolutely fascinating the fact that it took over 250 years to build the stained glass is the best mediaeval stained glass in Europe and that you can go in and have a walk around it is well worth the visit you want to allow an hour to hour and a half to do it any justice

The guides are all so passionate and knowledgeable, they would love to take the time to talk for hours. Take advantage of it!!

York city has to be one of the most beautiful Cities I know. A very cosmopolitan city full of diversity and character not to mention the history.
This is a must visit for anyone.

Unforgettable. Huge and well worth the visit both from the outside and inside. Try and go when weather is dry. Some cafes nearby. Do not forget your camera. Wear comfortable shoes as much are cobbled.

Very nice building, best thing to do in York so far. It should be cheaper or even free though... but I guess that s government fault not the building

+/- 3 hour train ride from london. grand cathedral with incredible interior and rich history. well worth a visit

Magical city east of Manchester. Worth visiting. With its beautiful and imposing cathedral. Your arrival by train is a beautiful landscape trip with lots of nature. The city, with its medieval streets. And the Viking museum. Its walls to travel, and its ruins. A walk not to miss on a visit to England. I would have liked to sleep to see what the city is like early and have breakfast there. I hope to return one day and be able to do it.

Very large and impressive. All COVID-19 precautions were taken. Overall a nice place to visit.

very good! The guide is also very good in the railway museum, the park fees of the day is 10 pounds, I must go on the tower and 27 5 stairs. Large windows of ladders and Vastu are very amazing. Minster ticket is not much of 11 pond and 5 pond towers.

Here, sometimes these works, even for those who are not a Christian believer, represent these abilities and these possibilities.
The "five sisters" or a series of spectacular windows are worth a visit alone.
Then you can climb into one of the towers for a panoramic view of the city.

Stunning building. Tour guide was very good and all staff in general were very polite.
We didn't get chance to the tower so will be going back.

Expensive but a must if you can afford it. Free sample, enter via the exit to light a candle.

Beautiful building but we were a little disappointed we weren't informed about the scaffolding inside the building before we went in.

Stunningly Beautiful but I feel very expensive to go and see.
Did Gloucester Cathedral which is free and equally stunning and made a donation.

Well worth going for a visit. Organ is being refurbished at the moment but back in summer 2021

Beautiful and serene. Even with tourists milling around, it still has that peaceful atmosphere. Well looked after and with some fantastic architecture, Don't leave York without visiting.

Went to evensong which was lovely. Such a stunning building. If you are visiting York and would like to go to the Minster, evensong is a great way to see inside and the choir are great!

I'm not really into churches but this is really impressive! I wish the organ had been up and running, it must sound amazing.
