I have had a week since I've been home and I still can't really find the right words to describe this place. Scenic, majestic, amazing, these all seem to fall short of description. This park just needs to be experienced. If you get the opportunity, go.

Amazing place. Something everyone should see during their lifetime. Park has excellent facilitation that allows you to see the attractions without a lot of effort and many are wheelchair accessible.
Not just the First National Park, but one of the most magnificent. It has everything from wildlife to seismic geology ranging from geysers to fumaroles and solfataras to hot springs and mudpots and... Every National Park is wonderful but if you see just one movie this summer! Oops, I mean, if you see just ONE National Park (and I really hope you can see all of them), this is the one to see!
It's truly amazing to see so many different terrains from geothermal formations, geysers, grasslands, waterfalls, and lakes within one national park! It's almost like a one stop shop.
We went during August and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded besides the Old Faithful area. We stayed at 3 lodges in 3 days within the park. Looking back, I think 4 days would have been better so thete would be less rush and more time to explore and hike areas we wanted to.
Phone service was non-existent for me so the initial panic of no internet does set in. However, it was a blessing in disguise because once you learn to cope, it was definitely nice to take a break from the our busy job and lives to relax and enjoy the beautiful sceneries. Definitely a great time to de-stress if you don't count the traffic caused by bison jams!
Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful . Was a family vacation that will not be forgotten.
It's yellowstone. It doesn't need any more reviews. It's huge, beautiful and cannot be accurately described. One learning was that your scale for how long it takes to get somewhere will be off. Everything is farther away than you think it is, and do not drive at night. BISON
Easily one of the top national parks in the country, and very inviting to all types of people, Yellowstone is a must on the checklist of places to go. It's a very large area and the roads are in the shape of a figure eight, so you have a few places you can go. The climate changes on both sides so be mindful of the weather. There are many lodges and restaurants and pit stops across the park too.
Spent an afternoon here recently, folks had a pack of greys on spotting scopes and were stopping cars to get a look. Great experience. In the winter only the northern entrances are open as well as mammoth hot springs.
The old Faithful is my favorite. Every 90 minutes nature amuses you with a volcanic eruption that is timed so you can make sure to enjoy this natural event. May is the best time a year to visit as the crowds are smaller and the weather is mild.
This is one of the best national parks in the country. I've seen everything there from Bear to Wolf. It's an amazing place to hike or just drive around if you have issues with hiking. If you are visiting the US or you live here and you like the outdoors this should easily be on your top 6 list (Yellowstone, Yosemite, Arches, Glacier, Grand Canyon, and Denali). If you have trouble moving around I would rank this as one of the easiest to get around solely by car. A definite must visit if you are in the states.
Go, but plan ahead. We booked our trip a year in advance and entered the park from the south through the Grand Tetons (stayed there 2 days) and stayed 2 nights each at most of the resorts (Lake was our favorite, but they all had their pros/cons) and made our way north through the park for a week. We took a photography bus tour one early morning and saw tons of wildlife! It was a trip of a lifetime and I really loved it!
Was in the area skiing so took a day trip to Yellowstone. It's totally different in the winter - not as crowded, much is closed, steam clouds hang low. A great time to visit.
A five star rating for the park and a one star rating for the average drivers who stop the car and gets out, daring the animal to gorge them. I've been twice and will only return once more to show my wife the Beauty of this park. The overall bad driving by idiotic drivers makes Yellowstone IMHO the most dangerous National Park to visit.
Beautiful. Make sure you have a week to spend here. Its just so huge. Otherwise you will be rushing trying to see all the sights and not enjoy the time your there...
