I came in through the north entrance. From the start it was packed. If this was the covid version of the park I don't know how anyone gets any where in the park. Parking areas were all packed and people waiting for spots.
The rangers that I met were all very nice and helpful.
The restrooms were all clean and well manged.
Several areas were still closed.
The canary springs were beautiful and easy to reach from multiple parking areas.
Old faithful took its time but was worth the wait. Area was clean and people generally either had masks or stayed further away.
I regret missing fairy falls. I was on my way out of the park when I saw how amazing it was.
Spend a few days and make sure you're there in the evening at least once! You don't realize all the springs and hot spots until it cools off and you can see the stream in the evening.
I do reserve all rights to the photos I have included.

what else is there to say other than the fact that its a must see and more importantly must savored experience. strikes the right balance of providing access to unfettered nature while providing just enough ammenedies to make for a comfortable experience for most. They also rent bear spray which is nice.

Wow. I got to know every bench, railing, handhold, restroom, suitable rock, grab as blessings branch, and crawlable staircase in the park. Only wish we had taken a handicapped van with a mobility chair so my sister #JudyHenderson could have seen more!

One of the best national parks I've been to. Amazing for wildlife, nature, night skies and great hikes. Grand prismatic and old faithful are icons. Visit the rainbow pool and biscuit basin for some hidden gems. Be sure to stay here for stargazing as it doesn't get much better, but be careful of changing steam pressure from the steam and stay on trails.

Seeing the wonderful diversity of topography and the various fumeroles, bubbling mud and geysers is a must. The lakes, streams and mountains are one of a kind and awe inspiring. Wildlife is abundant but sometimes a bit hard to spot.

This place is amazing!!! Such wonderful wildlife and natural phenomena to explore. My favorite parts were coming super close to a buffalo and of course seeing the marvelous geysers like old faithful go off. I keep rewatching the videos I took, but it was so much better in person. I can't wait to go again when I have time!

Once and done. Like every National Park, it is a forest. It is nearly 3,800 square miles. With 4 different access roads. The park has a plethora of wild animals. On our trip we saw only a small herd of elk and 1 buffalo.
With the Covid-19 mess, a lot of facilities are not in operation.
However, camping and lodging is still available.
The park is $35 to enter, to drive across below average quality roads (aka, lots of rough spots). Ole Faithful is an average of 20+ miles to travel to from any entrance.
Word of warning, for ANY of the 4 entrances, it takes 1.5 to 3 hours or more to even get to the park. The park doesn't embrace Yogi Bear, nor do they have anything to track eruptions or estimated eruptions of Ole Faithful. So, it's a huge guessing / waiting game.
I enjoyed my trip but I doubt I will ever return.

Take the longer route from grizzly peak to Mammoth geyser and the drive is worth it..great sandstone wonders..

The graddady of all the national parks. So much to see and do! The only downside to me is that accomodations are scarce and wayyyyy overpriced, the campgrounds in the park are reserved for many months in advance. Camping in nearby Island Park, ID is a good option.

This was the best and most exciting trip of my life. We saw so many things but the Bison was most amazing. We spent 3 days in the park and got a pretty good cross section of what the park had to offer. Beautiful!!!

Is an amazing national Park. It's enormous. Avoid the tourist trap areas as best you can and try to plan to visit areas a little harder to get to. It's busy during the summer months but if you try, it's not too hard to get away from the crowds. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely beautiful. There is a lot of road work going on right now so expect delays, especially mid day- evening even it's busy. Very little cell service and wifi, even in the areas that say cell service is available.

Head up!!!! DO NOT DRIVE AROUND IN YELLOW STONE PARK UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE GOING! It's not hard to get lost and the Rangers are not a lot of places. Especially after closing time. We went to Layton Utah through the Park. Wrong choice unless you have all day. I don't recommend driving it in the Night.

We loved this park; however, the weather was bad most of the 3 days we were there. We went in September thinking the crowds would be thinned out but we were surprised that so many others had the same thought. There were waiting lines to park to see the popular attractions. We were told this was unusual in Sept.

Yellowstone is what you make it. I came to fish and site see. I did just that. I could understand the rationale behind the strict fishing regulations, but they are a pain in the behind. On top of it, it doesn't matter what camp site you stay, if you want to feel closer to nature, cars can be heard even late into the night. Everyone should visit, but the noise pollution and headlock around fishing rules was a downer for me.

One of the best National Parks in the system. I've spent a week here with my 3 year old and I've spent a week entirely in the backcountry. You really can't go wrong. Be aware that Yellowstone is on the cooler side with temperatures compared with most of the country. Make sure you get campground reservations in advance!!

The most beautiful National Park with so much beauty to see and explore.
Would love to come back here in a heartbeat!
Best time to go is when weather is a bit colder sometime September to 1st week of October so it wont be too crowded and you wont missed the beauty that this National Park offer.

I have been to Yellowstone more than 10 times, I love it.
July is my absolute least favorite time to visit.
My favorite thing to do is to arrive before the sun is up, park near the Lamar Valley, and watch the wilderness awaken

The sights and nature were incredible. Downside people that site see while pulling their house and then think it's ok to stop in the middle of the road and everyone get out because there is a bison they need to run up to.

Took a tour with Yellowstone Wildlife Adventures and Gregory was amazing Not only did he take us on a 11 hour tour he showed us some of his less known favorite places that being a retired national park ranger he knew about. He also helped map out the dont miss sights for the next day. He was fun with the kids quizzing them on things he had told us about. We learned so much that the kids helped educate some of the rangers while getting their jr ranger badge

It's a great place to take your family. My family went when I was young and I still remember it to this day. We saw tons of bison and we even saw a wild bear. Experiences like these are why I love our American National Parks!

One of the most amazing National Parks I have been to in the US, and we only saw about 20% of it as the southern half was closed for the winter. But because we were there during mid November, we had most of the park to ourselves (although I can understand how busy it must get in the summer time).
There was still an abundance of wildlife - bison, elk, wolves, coyotes and big horn sheep.

Come out to the first National Park and enjoy the sights and smells of nature near it's most wildest. Went during the peak season but I always enjoy the shoulder seasons where you encounter less visitors and traffic and more views of wildlife and enjoying what the park has to offer.

Loved this park, have been wanting to go here my whole life and it took almost 50 years to get here. Very exciting with all the animals, geysers, springs and bubbling mud pots. The Dragon's Mouth Spring was our favorite, and definitely the smelliest. We saw eagles, elk, buffalo, squirrels, chipmunks, Canadian geese, swans, antelope and raven. We will definitely try to get back here again sometime. We stayed off-park so cost of where to stay didn't affect us much, except most RV parks start closing the 1st of October. We were lucky and found a nice quiet site. You won't be disappointed in this park.

Yellowstone National Park is mostly in the northwest corner of Wyoming, but also catches part of Montana and Idaho. It was the first national park in the United States, and the most spectacular. The park spans 3,468 square miles of volcanic geysers, lakes, Canyons, rivers, and mountain ranges. The most well-known Lake, Yellowstone Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in America, with the many mirrored snow covered mountain tops in the background and on the lake. The view is truly breathtaking. You will also find Old Faithful here, one of Yellowstone s many volcanic geysers. The entire area has been deemed one very large super volcano, and if it ever erupts coma it is most likely to kill most things on earth, so you must come here soon. I spent three weeks in the park and did not have enough time to see the entire park. There are so many back trails to explore, animals to see, and flowers to photograph that it s almost crazy. I photographed bison, Bears, sheep, elk, mule deer, and some kind of foxes.

This park is amazing with so much to see and do. If you like hiking or just prefer a easy stroll there is so much to see. The new old faithful Visitor Center is very interactive and perfect for children and adults alike.

Great views, feels like you re on another planet sometimes. No lie. Also words of advice the rest stops aka toilets are nasty and the food and gift shops in the park are expensive. Be civil. Y all know the deal. DON T DISTURB THE ANIMALS.

During the winter and early spring travel is a little more difficult. However when summer arrives it is prime time and can get crowded. Overall a beautiful experience. Hiking trails with petrified wood are amazing if you can find them.

This is one of my favorite parks. I've been here in every season and never get tired of it. The geysers and mud pools are spectacular. The wildlife is amazing. Buffalo deer elk sheep just to name a few. Although there are bears if you are camping you should take precautions.

Phenomenal. A Treasure. Must see the Mammoth Terraces, any of the geyser basins (Shoshone is a good hike; also the Morning Glory pool near Old Faithful is a fave), and my personal favorite: the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. It's stunning. Wildlife is great. You are almost guaranteed to see bison and elk. Grizzlies (get bear spray!) and coyotes are easy to come by. Wolves, moose, and mustelids take some more patience. Bird life is decent. Hayden Valley is a great spot for wildlife. The fishing is good. There are native Yellowstone and Westslope Cutthroat trout, as well as non-native raindow, brook (try Blacktail ponds), brown, and lake (Yellowstone and Shoshone Lakes) trout. The hiking is good, though lesser used trails are not greatly maintained (Mary Mountain Trail and the Howard Eaton between Canyon Village and Fishing Bridge need some maintenance). I recommend Yellowstone River and Rescue Creek trails. Elephant Back near Lake Village is a good little hike. For the more rugged backpacker, the Thorofare puts you into the most remote location in the lower 48 (I believe it's something like >30 miles to the nearest roads somewhere around the payroll cabin back there).

Gotta have Wilcoxson's ice cream at any of the general stores. Cream and Coffee Fudge is the best (sorry, Graham Slam and Buffalo Chip).

You must see Yellowstone. No place on earth is like it.

Best trip I have ever taken! We stayed in an RV park that had hook ups. It was wonderful. The Bison were awesome, everything was awesome. I'm glad my daughter got to experience it with me. Would definitely go back even with the 15 hour drive pulling a trailer!

There aren't enough adjectives to describe how stunning it is!! The colors of the sky & meadows, the clearness of the water, almost seemed unreal. Definitely a testament to nature taking care if itself if we just leave it alone. The wildflowers were in bloom & even though we went during peak season & encountered construction, it didn't feel overly crowded. We didn't have a car & no problem parking the rv in all but one parking lot (artist point, upper falls - too busy). Were there for 4 days and can't wait to go back.

One of the best national parks in the states. People are friendly and there are plenty of restrooms, restaurants and inns. The only negative aspective would be the traffic which is mostly due to construction or from tourists stopping their cars to take a picture of the wild animals that are in sight.

Unforgettable.

Unforgettable.
Seldomly been to a place which displays mother nature s beauty in so many ways. Slept at Old Faithful Inn headed out for a day-hike the next morning at 5:30 AM. It s truly magical when the first bits of sunshine rise above the hills and start mixing with the geysers fog. You feel like on a different planet.
Also seen Bisons and other very cool animals I have never seen before.
Get yourself up there and see for yourselves it s breathtaking!

One of a kind of place, truly mesmerizing. Great hikes for solo travel as well as kid friendly activities. Campgrounds are awesome and neatly maintained. Size of the tent has to be declared while booking campsites and has to adhere to the declared size. Thermal features are the main attractions throughout various areas of the park, but let that not deter you from exploring waterfalls or a short swim in the firehole river. We have explored the park for 4 full days and there was still more to explore, so it is really a very huge National Park. wildlife is best spotted during dusk and dawn hours at Lamar Valley or Hayden valley. None of the campsites have electric connections, hopefully that will be provided going forward.
