I called to ask about a consult and it s expense because my family can not pay for anything expensive and the woman gave me a severe attitude saying consults are only in clinics but I asked to see an ortho doctor tomorrow and she gave me an even worse attitude. Terrible service.

I have never had an 'experience' like going here for a respiratory infection. Outside of one amazing nurse, the entire staff + doctor was nothing short of incompetent. They made spelling/age mistakes, never looked at my x-rays, no doctor care, overwhelmed/overworked, and i never saw a janitor once clean the bathroom (i'd rather go on the street).
Just don't go unless literally shot or stabbed. You'll die.
Staff had a bad attitude, there is only chairs for security. While I was sitting in and stepped out for a minute the nurse took my chair and said "it is only for the security". Just a horrible experience they are there joking around while people needed help I had to help someone because they weren't fast enough.
This place is quite possibly the worst hospital I have ever been to. If you go to the emergency room they will put you in an area called fast track where they will make you wait for 3 hours to see a doctor. Fast Track? What about this is fast? If you can go anywhere else, try to. *UPDATE* They misdiagnosed me for FOUR YEARS. They had results on file from an EKG from 2015 that showed I had a heart condition AND NO ONE TOLD ME until 2019. #NEGLIGENCE
My sister only came here to get an ultrasound at 10:00am but went home around 3:00pm. It was absolutely unnecessary. The staff was completely disorganized. No one knew where her doctor was and the nurses useless. There was an elderly person who went to the bathroom on herself and after about 30 minutes the staff finally tended to her. Then a nurse left the dirty gurney in the waiting area for another 30 minutes! It was awful. Patients were being ignored and no one wanted to do their job. If I could give this hospital zero stars I would.

Worst hospital ever. The staff is rude, unprofessional and honestly not very knowledgeable. You sit for hours with no clue on your progress as they parade around having personal conversations while patients lie in pain. Don't ask questions cause your met with rudeness and lies. Only come here if it's the last resort and you don't mind wasting your time.
absolute worst hospital !!!!! most unprofessional doctors you will ever see. if you want to get infected with something and then suffer for a few days until someone Cares then by all means go to wyckoff. doctors fight each other's diagnosis in front of the patient there is a whole bunch of kid doctors running around unSupervised thinking they know what they are doing. my wife ended up in natural labor for 36 hours in excruciating pain and then when they failed the took for a csection and then left her heal on her own in 3 days he visited her once. Some doctors were also not happy that we were Muslim and got very rude when we mentioned we needed a woman doctor and it was an anesthesiologist and he left my wife suffer for hours before some other doctor came. BUT if it wasn't for the experience of the nursing staff the disaster would have been a catastrophe. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF U WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING.
This hospital should've been closed 20 years ago! If it wasn't the closest to my mother's house for the ambulance to bring her to while having a stroke she would be at Mt Sinai! Place is filthy and staff is rude. More important for the doctors to answer text messages than give results of testing! This place should be closed down!!

As a medic student, this is my favorite hospital out of five hospitals in which I have personally experienced the ER and EMS facilities. I can t speak from a patient s perspective. In reality, this place has become my second home. Great hospital. Thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff here. Even as a student, nobody belittles you or demeans your status. That s a huge takeaway Wyckoff has given me when it will be my turn to teach students or staff. And there is definitely plenty of space for family to sit in regards to the other review. There is more place for any family to sit than they have for their own doctors. That s how much they care about family.
Cane to the ER with my husband. They took a x ray at 6 40 am and after that send us to the second floor to a department call FAST TRACK. We have to way a hour and a half to way for the radiography to be send to the doctor gor then to decide what they have to do. I never in my life have to way 3 hours for a radiography for been done.
I had the worst experience of my life at their emergency room. I got there at 3 am with a severe abdominal pain. After some wait I was given a so-called "room" - which was basically a bed in the corner with a curtain on either side with zero privacy. There was no room in between the curtains and the bed. They had pretty much 10 percent of the entire floor provided for patients' beds! I could see everybody walking by and everybody could see me. I had to change into a hospital gown divided from some homeless men with nothing by a covered with something looking like blood curtain. Absolutely disgusting. The staff didn't care about my discomfort whatsoever. Nevertheless, I decided to give it some time because this was the closest hospital to my house. After two more hours without any of the medical staff approaching me, I wasn't given any pain medication. The beeper at the other guy's bed was literally beeping every 5 seconds in my ear for two straight hours and the nurse at the desk didn't bother to turn it off at all. Closer to 6 am I was approached by an insurance lady who collected my insurance information and was asking me questions whether I am religious or not which I felt like was really irrelevant at this point. I haven't seen any of the stuff taking care of the patients so I was wondering why it was taking so long for them to see me. I was in so much despair laying there and crying from pain and seeing a bunch of doctors and nurses basically hanging about and playing with their cellphones without bothering to even look at me for one second that I decided to leave. It took me 30 more minutes to get my insurance cards back. So, here I was, 3 hours later with no help provided whatsoever, depressed and dying from pain. I would have given it zero stars if I could. I think if I was to die right there in front of these people nobody would give a rats ass. I have never seen medical staff so indifferent and lazy. Please if you have a chance to go to any other ER do so, this is a waste of time.
I'm here getting blood work....I work in a hospital and I understand the wait. But when there are patients waiting to get it drawn why is every employee talking to each other about the latest episode of some soap opera. On their cell phone with a lion King ring tone playing. Oh even better the crowd of workers hovering over by the corner computer looking at who knows what online. Also don't forget about them talking about going to get a piece of pizza in the break room or cafeteria. This place is unprofessional. The receptionists registering patients are sitting eating Pizza at the desk and telling people to wait to get registered.
Worst experience with billing and office. Absolute horrible customer service , no one from these ever got back to me for over 8 months even though I called every other week. Do not go here ! Doctors are good but hospital is dirty and administrators don't care about you. They just point you to another department and the never ending circle doesn't stop.
My children, both asthmatics, have received nothing but the best in care and professionalism. Both Doctors Mohammed and Ochonu are excellent doctors- my girls lives have always been in the best hands and I appreciate the care given to them by the professionals at Wyckoff.

They make a very wrong diagnosis to my son and they wanted to force us parents to do an operation to our toddler we refuse and requested a second opinion which they refuse to ALLOW US but We Did it for the sake of our son so we rushed our son to the children center cohen in Nassau county and they were very professional and taken good care of him and repeated EXRAYS they said that Wickofe had make a big mistake and our son needed only a cast for his arm and is very minor fraction and DEFINITELY NO NEED FOR SURGERY. Will definitely will file a complaint with the health department against this hospital.
Came to this hospital recently because I was having issues breathing my heart was palpitating and was told to sit and wait... I literally thought I was dying (luckily I wasn't) but from my recollection you are suppose to make sure the patient isn't having a heart attack before telling them to sit and wait for 40 minutes...
Horrible they left me to die with a heart attack!!!I was not seen for 3 hours finally left and went to NY Presbyterian. Zero stars if possible. Horrible staff took blood left it on The bed. Nightmare!!!! You will surely die.

Today the ambulance toke my mother to this horrible hospital. The doctor was ok however every one else in the ER is eather lazy or do not know what they are doing. They give my 74 years old mother pain killer and send her home without finding out what is the reason to her pain. One od the doctors at the desk. She was talking to another doctor and yells we do not care about what the patient want that is not our job. Obviously it is a job for you. I think of you are in the medical field you need to care about the patient. I do not think she should be a doctor.
I am a parent who made The unfortunate mistake of taking my three years old son to this despicable hospital ... I feel disgusted and out raged about the place and the emergency staff ... pretty much everybody that have dealt with us there was unprofessional and inexperienced and downright rude ... there was one staff member that was conscientious enough to advise us to take our son to a different hospital saying that he too has a child and would never take her there for treatment.
Very grateful for the hospital my grandson was born there, I was also an emergency and they treated me very well.

It is a shame that the place has horrible reviews. I have recently met one Patient Advocate whom was so helpful and professional. I also met a rude and crass person whom was lousy over the phone. She axtually slammed the phone on me twice! Then I met a nice person with horrible phone etiquette but really willing to provide help. I would like to challenge the Administration to give your employees a Customer Service training. Give support to the good employees and get rid of the rest. My dad was a Dr and knew many at Wyckoff. The decline in service and overall patient experience is a shame for the hospital and community. I am a Customer Service expert. It can be effortless if you suport your team with education and incentive.
Dr. Gonzalez is an excellent physician. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to care for her patients. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient,and honest with you. I trust her with all of my children as she has a fantastic bedside manor. My absolute favorite thing about Dr. G, as we like to call her, is she knows you be name and does not treat you like a number.
NO question is too small or too big, she will make the time for you!

This review pertains only to the Labor & Delivery (12th floor) and Maternity/Nursing (11th floor) units. We gave birth there and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Everyone was courteous, helpful, professional and knowledgable. Especially Dr. Alchyib and the resident doctors assisting him made for a positive experience for my family. Reviews for other units in this hospital, and maybe especially for the ER might not be that encouraging, but if you're considering giving birth at this hospital, we can definitely recommend it!
Got to the ER at 4:45am and was immediately taken back for an EKG and X-ray. I was then instructed to wait in the waiting room for the doctor. At 6:30 I was told I could be seen at 7am. At 7:45 I was moved upstairs to another triage that knew nothing about the tests and history of why I was there. At 8:30 the doctor saw me and instructed me that I should get an xray. After explaining to her that I had already done that she went to check it out. 5 minutes later she came back and told me everything looked normal and that I should continue to take my antibiotics and rest. It's difficult to rest and take your antibiotics while you're sitting in a waiting room that doubles as a homeless shelter with no bathroom. It's alarming how unorganized a hospital can be with people's lives to care for.
Zero Stars & My Story From Over 4 Years Ago. I Had A Nightmare Of An Experience After Spending Over 10+Hours Needlessly In The Emergency Room. What I've Seen Out Of This Garbage Of This Medical Institution As Far As Representation Goes Is That Managers, Doctors, Nurses & All Other Hospital Staff Are Nothing But In Fact Unprofessional. They Are In Fact Rude, Very Disrespectful & ETC & Are Clearly Incapable Of Handling Situations Not Only In A Reasonable Manner But Also In A Timely Manner As Well. In My Past, I Applied An Enormous Amount Of Pressure By Not Only Embarrassing 2 Floor Managers & A Doctor Who Were Directly Involved In A Huge Incident But A Patient Advocate As Well. The Parties Who Were Involved Are, One Of The Managers Is From The Emergency Department & The Other Manager Along With The Doctor Who Was Directly Involved Is From The Dental Department. A Patient Advocate Was Also Involved Courtesy After A Phone Call Was Made From This Said Manager From The Same Dental Department In Clearly Making This Mistake & After I Filed A Complaint In Not Only Putting All Medical Parties In Their Place & Yes After Dealing With A Medical Malpractice As Well. They Tried To Manipulate Me In The Form Of Gaslighting By Distorting All The Facts In Playing These Mind Games & Trying To Cover Up The Facts In Getting Me To Question Myself Of Just Exactly What Happened As I Did Not Fall For It. They Did This Clearly Because I Had All Of Them Put To The Wall As They Had No Escape & This Was All Due Because Of Them Dealing With Their Own Insecurities As This Was Clearly Spotted. All I Wanted To Do Is To Be Treated & Be On My Way & This Is What I Get As They Clearly Disrespected Me & My Time As They Made It Alot More Worse Than What It Had To Be. Since These People Have Already Shown Me Their True Colors In Just Being A Complete Joke? I Already Had Taken Action & By Charging All Of Them To The Game & By Cutting All Of Them Out Of My Life By Kicking Them To The Curb. I Received A Letter From This Said Patient Advocate Later On In Time & Regarding The Aftermath Following This Incident As Far As What Was Being Done On Their Behalf But Again I Wasn't Buying It As I 100% Believe In Actions & Not Words So Please Do Not Send Me Any Letters In Regards To Changing Your Story & Being Misleading In The Statements When In Fact Is That I Know Exactly What The Truth Is & What Has Transpired & Then Persuading Me That If I Needed Anything From Them Is To Please Don't Hesitate In Trying To Contact Them. I Also Had A Mystery Staff Member Say To Me In These Exact Words & Quote: I Hope That This Is isn't The Last Time That You Actually Come Here. Really? I Mean Seriously? Since I Had All Medical Parties Involved Clearly On The Ropes & Under Submission, All I Have To Say Is That Now They Are Indeed 100% Devalued & So What I Have To Do Now Is Reject, Reject, Reject, Reject & Reject. These Are Clear Examples Of All Hospital Parties & The Medical Staff Who Try To Create A Relationship With Me But Are Nothing But Just A Complete Waste Of Space & Have Shown Me That They Are Nothing But just Medically Induced Worthless Incompetents Who Are Definitely Not Qualified Period. They Are Not To Be Trusted As They Do Talk Unwanted Smack Behind The Patients Backs In Being 2 Faced Individuals. The best hospital when I was pregnant to my first child I had an emergency I was bleeding al lot thru my nose and I get to.emergency and the took me to maternity floor and take care of me right away and took care of my babe in NICU
The doctor took a long time to review the patient is the first time we have been here and in reality the attention of the staff is not very good.
I delivered my 3 kids in this hospital and I had a great experience. The doctors and nurses were very nice, professional and very caring. Also, the food is super good they go to your room and you choose what to eat for lunch! It s a very clean hospital and very organized.
THE STAFF IS RUDE. THEY ARE VERY UNORGANIZED. JUST BECAUSE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AT A CERTAIN TIME DOESNT MEAN YOU WILL SEE A DOCTOR AT THAT TIME. I am an intern in medical assistance, and I came here for my required physical. I had to correct one of the phlebotomists as she was taking my blood because she was doing it the wrong way. One nurse just roughly took my arm with out even introducing herself, did not even greet me when she walked into the exam room, you do not touch a patient with out telling them you are going to, that is # 1 in the medical field!!! UNMPROFESSIONAL!!!! I do not know how these people even got certified. Not all though, 10% of the staff were actually nice and it was relieving to speak to them.

This place is honestly terrible. My girlfriend waited 20 minutes In the ER for them to put A nebulizer treatment on her even after she told them she was having an asthma attack and couldn t breathe. She was wheezing and had shortness of breath. She also couldn t finish a sentence. But nurses were really in a circle having coffee and talking about their life stories when I asked why they haven t gotten to her. Shut this place down!! Doctors and nurses don t prioritize people at all here. ESPECIALLY BROWN AND BLACK FOLKS.
From the Ambulance E M T to the Staff they gave excellent care to my Mom, they tended to all her needs , from ice chips to sips of water! The Staff kept Mom clean after blood test, wiped mom's hands they gave her numerous test and in a room of her own within two hours her dinner was waiting for her When she was wheeled to her room.
We are in an area that dominates the Hispanic, and it is a shame that they almost never have interpreter and so important that it is to be able to communicate with the doctor on duty. And the worst is when we are in the Thyroid area. My daughter from work had to serve as an interpreter so that I could know what the doctor was telling me. Now my daughter has another job and cannot help me, for that reason I have not checked my thyroid for a long time because I will have to arrive at my house without knowing anything about what the doctor told me. That's why I give him a 00000. Even though they draw blood they are very good.
I have been to many emergency rooms and this was the absolute worst. I was not given acceptable treatment (I sprained my ankle and was not given crutches; I received an injection and the injection site was left open with no gauze/alcohol swab). I was also berated by staff when I asked simple questions. If you are in a crisis situation, go literally anywhere other than here.

Sorry to all the doctors that actually care, because there are some but this hospital needs some serious improvement. Certain areas, like the ENT Doctor area looked scary and the staff was rude. The emergency room staff take forever to take care of you and you can tell so many of these people try to do extra things or treat you for things you don't have to be treated for for extra cash. Some of these doctors need more education or experience and need to spend less time gossiping. Too many things made me uncomfertable. Hope they make these changes.

I found the nurses and doctors in the ER to be very pleasant and attentive to my wife. I ve been here many times and can t think of anytime when the care of the nurses and doctors wasn t top notch. 4/4/17 It has been the most horrible experience I have had in this hospital I am in the emergency since 10pm and it is still 4:34 am and they do not give me the results of my mother's blood I do not recommend this hospital to anyone Too bad the performance of employees and doctors especially in the emergency is worse unprofessionals hopefully Mr. Rodriguez will take action on the matter because it is getting worse for nothing than they are professionals here. THEY DO NOT SERVE FOR ANYTHING.
Went there once for Hand Foot and Mouth disease. Was feeling very unwell and having a hard time staying upright. The staff had me wait for over three hours in a hallway outside of examination rooms before I was seen by a doctor. Afterwards, I had to wait even longer in that hallway for my test results. The reception desk on the second floor was very unpleasant and rather impatient with me, as well. The hospital was not clean. I would recommend seeking out better hospitals in the area, so that you'll be better prepared in the event of an emergency.
My issue is mainly with one particular employee whose name I regrettably did not get, but she is an older woman with spiky salt and pepper hair. First of all, she had no clue as to how to deal with medical phobias which is inexcusable for a hospital employee, no matter how menial your job, or how limited your education may be. She shouldn't be working in the medical field. Secondly, she didn't know the difference between policy and custom, because she actually tried to force me to do something extremely traumatic to me by telling me it's hospital policy. Policy is something that is written down somewhere. Just because something is customary doesn't mean it's policy. Furthermore, the reason it's not policy is because there's no logical reason for it. Needless to say, my opinion of her intelligence and social skills is distinctly poor.
As off 3 am today I'm still waiting for the X-ray to be done on my daughter I would prefer woodhool over wyckoff
I had no problem getting my Covid-19 test you must make appointment and you will have no problems they were very nice from checking in to do the test.
They delayed almost the normal thing that one has to wait and all the workers from the receptionist anesthesiology aids and dr were very kind very grateful with this blessed gold hospital that God always give them the wisdom to keep doing things well.
In short, unless you want to onboard a nightmare repayment process, avoid this place. The billing department is incompetent. In one visit you, as was with my case, you can incur multiple bills that appear as though there is only one. Which means there are multiple departments, not in communication with each other, asking for payment. So, although you may settle you account in one place, to another area you account may still be outstanding. Many hours and multiple agents later, the issues is still unresolved.
N.T. Luana Liverpool was such an amazing, supporting, and helpful person during my stay at Wyckoff. Despite feeling very depressed and anxious, she consoled me and make me feel happier. She is one of the realest and greatest N.T.s I ve had the pleasure of having, and she should get the biggest raise possible.

This would have 0 stars if it could. Absolutely AWFUL. The workers, AWFUL. The nurses are very VERY rude and mean. They do more talking than their actual JOB. The doctor discharged me without telling me without what was actually wrong with me and then when I went to ask about it he literally blurted EVERYTHING out in the waiting room with a whole bunch of people standing by. I wouldn't recommend. Your privacy is NOT respected and your care is not a priority to these workers. Do NOT go.
I was struck by a Van on Monday, January 8th, 2018 i laid there bleeding for 5 hours. Dr.Ouzou only glanced at me and ordered a CAT scan I still was not treated until I decided to leave bit the nurse in charge named Tameeka pushed things forward and to come to find out i didn't have a Dr. assigned. I work for NYU Langone and i am very familiar with patient care and this is by far the worst Hospital. Filthy and the most uncaring except for nurse Tameeka Norris.

I was in the radiology department and I came in at 11:30 this morning and the women who handle registration told me I had two people in front of me. An hour has passed by and 4 people have went and when I asked why I haven t gone yet they tell me they haven t even registered yet. The 4 people who had gone in front of me are patients when I too i m a patient. I ask again and they tell me they are going on a lunch break. The women were talking and on their cellular devices constantly not doing their jobs. I think one star is to much for this woman s
Walk in the er telling them my fiance has a possible broken ankle and can not walk up the stairs. Er has no wheel chairs and was not willing to help us. The man at intake was nice enough to find a wheelocal chair for us. When we are going to see doctor on the 2nd floor he had to return the chair back to pediatrics as we waited for the doctor in the waitIng area. When he is called in I am telling the nurse he can not walk on his foot it hurts really bad she's looking at himy struggle to walk . I told her three time's. As she looks at him struggle she has the nerve to saw hold on to the wall with an empty wheel chair right behind her. Unreal and disrespectfull. 5:45 arrival fast paste service down stairs once they send you up stairs to er fast track it's hours of waiting just to be seen. We arived at fast track at 630pm it's 9:17 pm and stI'll waiting. Only 7 people were here upon arival.
The emergency room will only make you feel worse. That place is like a 3rd world country. Only 1 bathroom, extremely dirty and smelly. In the hallway of the emergency room, patients are laying in beds and nearly on top of one another. No space for family to sit. Doctors and nurses are laughing with eachother, not paying attention or worrying about the patients who are suffering. And when you do dare try to get a nurse /doctor attention, they will either ignore you or stare at you as if your being rude interrupting there fun. The doctor that was assigned to me (not going to even mention her name) wanted to keep me over night in the ER! Is that even allowed? I had a bad stomach condition so to not be checked in to have my own bathroom, I'd only be forced to use the ER bathroom. Now that we are back on the bathroom topic, a gas station bathroom is a lot cleaner. Good luck if you have no choice but to go here.
They don t care about the patients at all. I been having severe tummy problems and as always they just check my blood and send me home. Always neglecting the patients. The doctors need to be sued and the place shut down.
XQ is a hospital that is close to all those who live in the area NEAR THERE, but that if you have to wait a long time to be served both in emergency and in the medical consultations. But there is NO other.
Horrible physician patient communication skills. A question can't be asked without getting a sarcastic remark.
I had some wonderful doctors that gave me all options for care. Being my first time at a hospital they related to me very well and showed they cared. It's a very busy public hospital but they're hearts are in the right place.
Had a very bad experience yesterday at Wyckoff 's pediatric emergency room. Had to wait for 4 hours "7:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m." to have my child examined and given an antibiotic injection for pharyngitis!
The nurse of the pediatric emergency triage; her name is Guilbe, was extremely rude! Didn't listen to me while explaining my child's symptoms, when I asked her a question, she answered by pointing with her fingers without talking and even without eye contact! She is not supposed to be a nurse let alone to serve a sick kid!! The other staff members were nice but the service was too slow. Overall, a very bad experience, will never go to Wyckoff hospital again!
Terrible experience! Most workers were sleeping at desk. Other lady was rude and kept saying you re not the patient to every question I asked. like obviously, but I need a update for my family member. Just put us on a bed with no sheets or pillows. Only met two guys out of whole staff who were not rude. Homeless people & drunks surround the whole ER. Every nurse / staff member brushes you off and says yeah yeah yeah just wait .
Staff does not care about patients at all. Unless you are really sick and have no choice, do not go here.
Worse hospital EVER!! Came in having a asthma attack and chest tightness and sat for 5 hours without being seen by a nurse or doctor! Soon as I start yelling and cursing that's when someone wants to come and see me. DO NOT COME HERE!!!
