It's a tiny private hospital and limited to a few things. For example there's no psych ward so you'd probably have to go to Elmhurst. The staff if friendly if you are respectful and listen to what they say. Some people come in and just don't follow direction or act up. Don't be one of those people. The employees will play you if you are.
Terrifying ER experience. There are cleaner, safer, faster, better hospitals in Syria. Nobody leaves this place healthier, I m lucky to have made it out safely. Tip: take a cab to a Manhattan hospital. Wyckoff Heights is the filthiest, scariest most dysfunctional Hospital I ve ever seen outside of rural India. Stay away, stay safe.
This place is horrible. DON'T GO THE GYN here. Find another place. My appointment was at 12:30. I didn't get seen until 3:00pm. The staff is a bit friendly but that doesn't excuse the wait.

It's a hospital, if in a emergency that you can't get to a better place this will work, I haven't been inside for years so I might be off, so you might want to check it out more, but living so close to major hospitals in New York

I love it, super attentive, I gave birth to my baby in 2018, at first I was afraid since some people had told me that the service was bad but no that is not true the service is super good, the nurse, the doctors are super attentive and very helpful, even in the dining area they were very attentive, I was super delighted with the attention and good service I recommend it 100%
I am here waiting for my mother in law to give birth. Since 7 am, is 5pm and they pushed her C-section because they had emergencies yet the baby s heart rate in every contraction drops from 120 to 80 which is not normal. Worst service ever

Terrible!! I came in for a simple ear infection and I was in the waiting room for 3 hours. The staff is so unprofessional and they do not care for the people.
I am in the emergency room right now for 4 hours. You think somebody would ask me if I wanted water. I did. No pitchers only cups. Came back with 2 small cups of ice.

overall i had a really negative experience at this hospital. some of the staff were sweet, some were not. the nurses at the hospital really tried to help me but my doctor was incredibly unhelpful. he was not nice to me nor understanding. he got upset at me for saying i took half a .25 mg xanax which i have prescribed to me for anxiety. he wouldn t do anything for me (no x rays, nothing) until i peed in a cup which i couldn t do because i kept vomiting the water i was drinking and crying lol. i was sat in a cold room with no care for 4 hours until i begged one of the nurses to let me just leave. i then got care somewhere else where they discovered quickly i had a ruptured cyst on my ovary. i now have to pay an emergency room bill for a visit that literally did nothing for me but make me miserable for 4 hours :-) please spend the extra 20 dollars and uber to a different hospital. all my friends in the area have had similar experiences.
This hospital used to be the worst but not it's a private hospital and seems that is working. Friendly staff, good care. Would love to see more. I would recommended.
Your emergency doctors have no interest in actually listening to what is wrong with the patient, shove clipboards to sign for different tests, lollygag & flirt openly in front of the patients with the nurses and residents completely ignoring and demeaning the idea of just helping people. Your ER is a money making scheme as your doctors have represented in numerous cases that they are just doctors for the money. Understandably, there are many patients to take care of, but the amount of rudeness and standards is just abysmal. Have you seen your bathrooms? All of the hand sanitizers are empty. I will contact all media sources to decry your operation with examples of your stated bill in comparison to those hospitals and facilities that know how to treat a person.
This hospital is probably the worst place you can go. Went here twice was admitted due to a blood clot in which I went to a specialist who did not see nothing wrong with me. The ER is run by nothing but interns who don t what there talking about. Was misdiagnosed TWICE, was given medication without explanation. When I received a letter asking for feedback I never was contacted back.. smh. Don t recommend

The staff here are so inattentive and only seem to care about how long do they have until they go home. The doctors gave me a ct scan because I had severe stomach pains and nausea and took four hours to give me the results only told me that I didn't have appendicitis. And then told me that there was nothing they could do about the pain and that they wanted to keep me over night even though there was nothing they could do but give me IV.
Everything is slow. You'll be waiting for at least an hour. Some nurses are nice

It lasted three hours and in that time they did not attend to anyone, I was very bad and people equal or worse than me, at 3 hours I asked for a taxi and left that place, the emergency was terrible
My one star is for the emergency room and only because I have to pick at least one to write the review. Took my niece with stomach cramps, nausea ,vomiting and chest pains. We told them we thought it was food poisoning. They said it was from smoking weed. We again the next day and the same thing and unfortunately same doctor. They just sent her home when she was feeling better. The next day took her to Jamaica hospital and sure enough she had food poisoning. They treated her for it and started getting better the same day. The next day she almost as good as new!
If possible no stars, worst customer service ever. If you re not dying you don t matter.

My husband has been in and out hospitals all year due to a gallbladder infection and had to have it removed. He's been under the care of Dr. Raghav Bansal and his last procedure was at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, which went very well! Dr. Raghav went above and beyond for us, and my husband and I are so thankful to him and the medical center at Wyckoff.
This ER will turn anybody crazy! First of all if I REFUSE SOMETHING I REFUSE IT. Don t force NO patient to do something they don t want too especially without a good explanation. I waited 4 hours & got humiliated because i didn t want to take a sugar test and the stupid doctor try to make it seem it s for the sake of my pregnancy yet they have that machine walking around doing it to everybody! The only nice people are the medical student who are being influenced by these heartless worker. So sad i was next to an old lady who was screaming for help and instead of comforting her the girl ignored her and after 10 minutes called transportation to get her out. Sucks i was born in a hospital full of heartless care takers. Place needs to be evaluated!
My mother is in that place for over a week. Bleeding for her GI tract. All the do is give her blood till her levels drop and give her more blood to bring them back up. They refuse to do anything else but this for a week!
I gave birth to my daughter and they took good care of me and my baby and answering a lot of questions...in my opinion the doctors and nurses are very good when it comes to babies.

Just recently gave birth at Wyckoff and honestly could not have been happier. Every staff member from labor and delivery to the maternity floor was kind, informative and patient despite clearly being stretched thin during a pandemic. My only complaint was a poorly operating bed during labor and discharge taking a long time but nothing that greatly changes my feeling on the experience.
I have been here since 12 and it is already 3 o'clock and nothing is being attended to. I call for support and they did not want to give me and now I have to wait hours

Staff here is horrible. It will be a queue for couple hours, schedule doesn t matter. Moreover, they can change the time of your appointment without any notification. Mine was moved for 10 days. They also told that doctor was not here, but I saw him.
Update: the nurse showed me that they schedule 10 persons for the same time, with only 3 doctors.

Gynecology department are inexperienced, undertrained and impulsive. As a result of their negligence I nearly had a full hysterectomy at age 32 because they MISSED a perforation in my uterus. Fortunately ER is fantastic and insisted another department check. At one point I was told "well I don't know why you are hemorrhaging so I'm just going to discharge you"...beware it was only under extreme circumstances I ultimately got the right care. Most I fear would not be so lucky. Including the young boy brought in that night with gun shot wounds who died because I quote the doctors I overhead "we weren't equipped for trauma"...horrifying!

I must say this hospital is amazing I just had surgery there . 10th floor and 5th floor stay was amazing I just got home and I miss them already . All the staff on the 10th floor and 5th was amazing always on point with medicine very kind very attentive. They all took very very well care of me . I had my baby here it was horrible. If I did not attempt to deliver my son on my own, they would of had me sitting with contractions even longer 10 centimeters dilated and feeling his head right on my vagina. Then the three days they have you wait to make sure you and the baby are ok. They only came in and out to check me and my babys pressure and tempture. I begged to see a doctor because my baby was congested from them not turning on the heater when he first came out .... horrible horrible. I never seen a doctor except for when I had my son... horrible!!! ... I even had to get up to get papers for the baby and water for myself ! ... horrible!

I know it's hard to meet everyone's expectations and it could be chaotic, but majority of the medical staff here tries its best. I got into the emergency room with a broken wrist and were helped pretty quickly, in a friendly manner. Special thanks to the doctor Thomas Larkin and his orthopedic department which is highly professional. They performed a surgery to align bones in my hand. They called me next day after the surgery to check how I felt. Thank you very much!
This is the worse place to go for anything even when you have appointments it takes 2 hours just for your name to be called. Never taking my son to this place again I rather drive some where else then come here ever again

All pediatric clinic appointments are relocated to another facility at 1411 myrtle avenue. The facility is too small to accomodate regular doctor, walk-in and specialty clinic appointments. I took my daughter there for her podiatry appointment today-just to find out that all appointments are cancelled because the doctor is out! What a wasted day. My daughter is on crutches and we have to travel by bus. I never received a phone call the night before nor that morning that the appointment had been cancelled. Also, my son's physical form has been misplaced. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE (yeah right!).
Visited dental clinic for evaluation, tough to get an appointnent, then third visit for same evaluation, hygeinist brought me a medecine cup of industrial bleach when I asked for some peroxide to clean a blood spot from my son's expensive shirt.... Ruined burned through his clothing, to skin, and I almost rinsed my mouth with it! Crying disturbing shame, OSHA violation, and scary!
I just had my baby boy. There is no reason why a new father should feel alone when asking for help and the service arrives so late. This is a private hospital for f****cks sake. Disappointed .
This is by far the worse hospital I have ever been too! My son was having a seizure and when I got there they literally just stayed staring at him while he s having one on the chair! Got sent home after they gave him Motrin next few days he was having stomach pain they said it was his appendix and again laid him on the chair with no iv only Motrin waited for the ambulance to arrive to transfer us to another hospital and literally ambulance guys were arguing with the front desk ladies my sons heart rate dropped he had no iv on and his appendicitis burst in his stomach which he had to have 3 surgery s for will never go back and neither should anyone so unprofessional

The NICU at Wyckoff is its shining star and carries this hospital. I had both my boys here, one was born at 27 weeks and I cringe at the thought of moving away from Dr. Patel or Dr. Casano. I have seen the progress over the last 20 years and while improvements still need to be made, I would recommend the maternity ward (not clinic as the wait is the worst thing I have ever seen), pediatric clinic, and Dr Benny as the Pediatric dentist. Its pediatric clinic located a few blocks away is great.

Ever since i was 9 yrs old and moved to the US I've always gone 1st choice to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. It has always been like my second home. Is just 3 blocks away from home. Has alot of helpful friendly staff. I was there everytime i had sick when i was a kid, they always placed me in the kids floor and its like a hotel. With a tv great huge bed that my mom even laid right with me. But then i grew up so, had to go to the adults floor. But it's still great still a tv but theres no cartoons on the wall and the bed its just for me to fit in. You won't regret going to this hospital. I completely recommend it.
I have very bad experience there that s why I will never go back there.. their nurses are rude n doctor barely come check on you when you asked. I always waited every time I came to the doctor I have to waited for 5 hours. Last time I came 7 pm I left from the waiting room at 4 am like omg and there wasn t any patient a lot omg it was annoying !!!!
My 18 year old sister was taken to Wyckoff Hospital because her body had this unctrollable jerking motion that wouldn't go away. She was concious, alert, able to speak and hear. It was literally just her body kind of twitching. Upon arriving my sister had 2 seizures. She was then admitted and givien epileptic seizure medication. During the 3 days my sister had a total of 18 seizures. They continued to try different medications and increase the dosage without discovering the cause of the seizures. Clearly her body wasn't responding to the medication and that can only mean she was being misdiagnosed. 1 nurse or doctor w.e she was even tried to say "ohhh at least they are getting shorter" which was absolutely false. All her seizures lasted 8-10 minutes. Her body was telling us what her brain and mouth couldn't. My sister broke down crying so many times because she was tired of being medicated and her body was hurting. We thought my sister was going to die. I over heard nurses saying they dont undsrstand what was going on but they never told us that, just continued medicating. The Neurologist wasn't on site, everything was over the phone and waiting for his response took hours. Now all it took was me going online to figure out that my sister was experiencing PNES. The reason her body wasn't responding to the meds is because PNES is a psychological seizure and epeleptic medication can trigger seizures even more. My mother brought this up to a doctor but there was no change in her care. She continued seizing, they continued medicating.....and 3 different seizure meds at that.....in 1 day! To make matters worse they did a EEG and didn't tell us the results until the next day. When we asked why we didn't know this sooner, the "doctors" response was "I thought you were informed." This doctor along with the neurologist didn't like to be asked questions. They just wanted to do what they wanted to my sister and because they had the degree they felt they knew best. My mother finally got fed up and demanded a transfer. When the neurologist find out about the request, he agreed that she should be transferred. Clearly the uptight doctor didn't know it all afterall. My sister suffered so much because they didnt want to listen, just shoot her up with meds. I gave it 2 stars because there was 1 nurse who was amazing. She treated my sister so much love and care and you can see it was genuine. Also, the psychologist they had on sight was very good with her as well.
Point is....I rather drive my family however many miles then have then go to Wyckoff which is less than 10 minutes away from our home.
"Afterwards the room was spacious and the nurse's and staff were excellent ..... Also I arrived at 7:00 pm and already at 710 I was in an emergency. On a stretcher and with privacy. I already have two days here and I can not complain about anything .. Very good attention with me .. Excellent thanks to all.

(-1 STAR ) Do not go to Wycoff Heights MC if you can help it. The center is a circus and no one knows what is going on or how to properly do their jobs. Communication skills are below basic level for staff. I believe the nurse who put my IV in may have been on drugs. She missed my vein several times until she went all the way through the vein on my other arm and hit a nerve. This place was ridiculous.

Don t know what kind of triage system lets some with a laceration causing their mask to fill up with blood and drip down their shirt wait into the ER for over an hour while 4 patients without any visible issues get taken in. Been here for almost three hours, waiting for over 30 minutes to get discharge papers in the waiting room after sutures. Don t go to this ER, haven t even seen the charges yet.

Clinic appointment times mean nothing here. A patients' precious time means nothing here. Do not plan to go to work or make others plan because you will be stuck waiting to be seen.The doctors are knowledgeable but that's all I can give this hospital. I was scheduled for a procedure wondering when I would be scheduled for protesting. Pretesting says there is no reservation for it. I work I have rescheduled my life for a ghost surgery. Last year same nonsense procedure postponed the day before. I find out when I get out of work. WTH
He was treated super fast and diagnosed hospitalized with super attention operated by the best neurologist and attended in oncology and radiotherapy without any setback for me has been the best. Oncology director a super humanitarian person I have nothing bad to say.
The staff was actively demeaning to all of their patients and accusatory if the word "pain" even came up for anybody. I had to deal with being surrounded by people begging for help, screaming, for hours. It was also beyond noisy. It was quieter outside with the traffic than inside on a bed. How are you supposed to heal in a situation like that?
