I love this gym, I have been here for almost 1 year and I have greatly benefited from all of the instructors, the group exercise classes and the childcare. The tot drop for kids is full of great women, lots of them are moms and are so great with babies, they care for them like if they were their own. The instructors are amazing, they always find a sub if they can't come and class is pretty much never canceled They are responsible grown ups teaching the classes and never come late or miss a class. I am in the best shape of my life, I had 4 children in the last 9 years and this Y is a huge part of that. The HIIT classes every day multiple times a day are my jam. Swim lessons were also awesome for my preschooler and they have great programs for everyone. So glad I found this gem.

Beautiful pools, very good instructors, but the gym Staff is not upbeat and the Shower area is always freezing! Plus they need to turn off the huge fan that's constantly running and makes a lot of noise.
I was also very displeased that we had to download a special App which sucks up considersble phone Power to listen to THE TV stations. It frequently crashes and then you have to reset it !! It becomes a real hassle- they should just provide the cable service so we can watch TV Easily!!

I do not have a membership for this facility in particular but i have a Nationwide YMCA membership and decided to go to this location because the facility I usually go to had water issues. Upon entering the lady at the counter was very rude and very unprofessional. On top of that she was very racists, having a different skin color does not give you the right to treat others wrong!! I would not recommend. She had us go through a background check, instead of simply scanning my card which i have done at other locations. She even called my home facility to check the status of my membership and asked for my, my mom s, and both my brothers ages. She spoke in a very condescending tone to all of us. I had brought a guest (which i have 2 FREE guest passes a year), she was charging us for the guest even after explaining to her that i had free passes. She responded not for this location . In the end, because i have a brother who is under 13 she said that we can not use the facility because nothing is open for is. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND -1000/100

If you could review without hitting a star then I would. The Wydaca Camp was at a cracker barrel in Fogelsville, PA tonight 8/11/2017. The kids were rude, like they never went to a restaurant before! One kid kept pushing his chair in and out and almost hit a few people and a waitress. I had to let one of the advisors know because no one was watching them. Then when checking out the kids didn't know how to stabs in line politely hitting my husband and knocking things off shell. Then when leaving a gentleman in a walker couldn't move as the kids kept walking in his way! Also a young boy took a lid off a can outside and was spitting in it. Thanks for an unpleasant dining experience. The camp staff, parents, and kids should be ashame. I know my two kids would never be going to a camp like that.

Very convenient, and a nice asset for the community.

We're members mainly to take advantage of the kids programming and the summer swimming area.

They have a great variety of classes for young kids; mine have taken swimming, soccer, gymnastics, rock climbing, and sampler classes. They like coming. It's not as crisp as a dedicated facility but it costs less and they have learned at their classes. Class sessions run for 8 weeks during the school year so you can change it up a bit if the kids decide they don't like something. On the flip side it feels like you're always registering for something. Prices usually work out to $10-15 per session (plus the membership fee) which is very low for the area.

There's a very good selection of adult classes for full members, at all hours of the day. The Y also hosts community events all year round. We've stopped by for open gym and free swimming during the winter.

The gym equipment seems a bit dated but kinda... Who cares? It's still a YMCA - a very good one. It gets a lot of traffic. The locker rooms aren't as nice as an Equinox. On some level you get what you pay for, but there is always something fun to do here.

I sadly must say that the YMCA facility at Wycoff needs major improvements. Not only is the facility outdated (locker rooms, shower areas...) but it is also not kept clean. They do have two great pools, but the pools are overused, and dirty. The warm pool very often has extremely cloudy water, with debris floating around (hair, paper..., awful). There are limited number of lanes open to the members, which often need to be shared by 3 or more swimmers at the time, all other lanes are used for "private lessons" or swim team. We pay too much money to not be able to comfortably swim and use the workout to relax. I have recently gotten three eye infections after swimming in the uncleaned pool, and my wife periodically develops skin rashes right after swimming. We have brought that up to the front desk, along with overcrowding issue, but they never have addressed the issue, and if anything, seem to get upset by our complaints. Shower and bathroom areas are very dirty, especially in the afternoon and evening times. I understand that there is a very large number of members using the facility daily, but the staff must address that and have a better cleaning schedule! Also, a lot of things do not work, and seem not to get fixed.

Great location with much potential, but needs to be improved!

To begin with, because of some mistake on the site I am listed as Tom Horan but my name is John Horan. I have been unable to correct this error.

As to the Wyckoff Y itself, I have been a member for more than 5 years. Compared to the 3 other Y's I've gone to it is a gem. I almost never have to wait for a treadmill, elliptical, stationary recumbent bike or "universal" type machine. The staff is friendly and helpful. Other members are often in more of a hurry to get out than an old guy like me but they are all polite.

Compared to other Y's its much cleaner and brighter.
The pool sometimes gets a little crowded.

And they have good activities, e.g. trip to a preview of The King and I at Lincoln Center next week and trip to a Yankee game on June 10.

The Wyckoff YMCA is always very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. Excellent value for my family membership (2 parents and 3 kids). They have a bunch of classes included in the price, diverse gym equipment, pool hours, basketball courts and discounts for the extra programs with full membership. I've been a member for over 13 years since living in the area and wouldn't leave for another gym. Great way to stay active and healthy. Recommend for all that want to keep motivated by having a diverse options in working out.

A very good facility at a very good price. They offer a full-size lap pool, a man-made beach in the summer, a full gym and all sorts of fitness classes. The daycare staff is also very warm and experienced.

Amenity-wise, this Y compares to facilities that cost far more. But, in the locker rooms, you will have to deal with the ever-present cringiness of naked elderly people who have long foregone the modesty imparted by a simple towel.

Love the place overall. Just one thing bothers me. I have a full membership but I'm not allowed to use the basketball gym even when no one is in there. No programs were going on for the rest of the night. My father was supervising us and I am over 18 but some other kid was in there by himself who was under the age of 14 and no one said anything and the man who kicked us out said the young boy's dad worked for the YMCA so he is allowed in there all by himself. How is this even fair?

Top shelf family gym. My 9 year old finds as many activities as her 12 year old sister and me to make the time spent there (family hours on weekends) well worth the trip.

Not much gym time for kids and parents together during the week - which rarely is needed with so many other activities going 9n.

I am a full member of the WYCKOFF Ymca and facility is clean and nice overall. Most of the workers are very kind and I love the programs they run through the year around. However one thing that make me feel bad and uncomfortable is a safe guard who work at the pool is not nice to kids. My son is 7 years old( I find out her name is Jess, assistant aquatic director). One day my child played with noodles ( a lots of them at the same time) during the family swim hours, maybe she doesn't like it some reason. As soon as family swim hours finished, she approached my son with tone of angry voice "get out right now" " Put it all noodles back". What a mean behavior and unprofessional. not even my kids remember her mean "lady" but I heard from other moms too.

I use this facility strictly for the weight room and cardio equipment and frankly, I think the place is completely outdated. The machines are Antiquated. The entire facility needs a facelift. And I think they should be embarrassed for the prices they charge the kind of equipment that they presented to the consumer. I'm strictly there for convenience and I'm about to throw that rule out the window

Thanks for replying, it doesn't change the fact that the facility is barely clean. The aerobic room and gym areas never smell clean. the wipes holder has been broken at the AR for a long time, the sinks in kids locker room don't work properly and the locker rooms are still wet, and dirty 90% of the time. when things break, it takes months for you guys to repair: from showers, changing table, hooks, etc. The pool and the pool staff is the ONLY great thing about this location. Customer service also doesn't care about the individual customer concerns. Otherwise a lot of things would have improved already

I am not a member of this specific facility but I do have nationwide.. The first time I went in, the ladies at the front were very rude and condescending.. I explained to them that all they had to do was scan my card as I d used a different location and it worked. They went as far as calling my Home Y to check if my membership was in good standing. I didn t give it to much thought but a few months later I came back and this time several
Times in a row, the membership
Lady said I could not come more than a few times in a row, I explained I was in the area for a week and would come at least 4 times. You could tell by the tone at which she spoke me to that she was bothered by my Color (this being a predominately white area)..Well fast forward to a few days ago, I go in and explain to the lady at the front that I moved to the area and would Like to make this my home Y.. Well she referred me to someone in membership
Who was Super rude and standoffish. I called my gym and explained my situation and the person I spoke to was so helpful
And asked that I go in and find out who the Manager was so they could call corporate and report them..I walk in and ask for their and Number and the lady at the front desk realized that I might call Corporate on them and went ahead and tried to be nice to me, she explained what the person at my home gym had already told me.. I took the number and left.. I would not recommend this gym at all unless you are willing to put up with mediocre treatment...

I am a full member. The facility is clean and the grounds are expansive. When my son was young I was very pleased with the summer camp and most recently when visiting the lake found it to be clean and well supervised. However indoors many of the larger GEC classes are crowded into a gym with often dirty or slippery floors being these are multi-purpose rooms. Often in the summer the gym was overly warm and only one large fan is brought in. The staff is either super-friendly or rude. They do a lot of presentations on putting elderly parents in nursing homes. And I have seen ageism. The individual classes offer a large variety of activities, with some instructors being better than others as in most places. When entering the lobby there is nothing that indicates the Christian core beliefs or ethical focus, which may help develop more of a caring culture among all age groups, both staff and membership.
