Yesterday they left more than 30 people at the Vienna airport who had a flight to Tenerife. And nobody answered phones.
Checked in an extra heavy bag which initially was a couple of kilo's too heavy. After removing some things and wrapping the bag it was less than 0.5Kg too heavy, still they would not accept it, they made me unwrap the bag, which was already very hard to handle and I was quite late for the flight and my only possibility was to throw out a heavy and quite valuable item. Staff is instructed to be inhumane. Also very displeasing booking policy where you need to pay extra to sit together and even get seated apart when you check in despite having booked the tickets together. If financially you can afford it, I would not recommend anybody this profit hungry, humanity blind company!
Second bad experience with them. The website was not working to do the online checking and they charge 35 per person in airport. I write the email to the customer service but no refund. I promise to myself never to fly with this company anymore.
I travel to Budapest all full of Italians and none of the staff who knew a single word in our language. They answered my questions in English, telling me that it is a Hungarian company. But the money is Italian ...

THE WORST AIRLINE IN OUR LIFE. If you want really bad flight experience with unpleasant after-taste, then choose it. Otherwise avoid it by any means! Terrible check-in with disrespectful inefficient employees enjoying their tiny power over the passengers (calling police when i tried to explain that one of wizzair employees confirmed that we can check-in showing on our smartphone digital flight confirmations received by email???!!!! And talking to police in Hungarian language complaining that i don't allow you to work, Daniel Kovacs, when i'm just trying to explain our situation with the original flight being cancelled when we had to buy another flight tickets for another flight quickly on the same say yet had no printer to print it?! Wizzair employees think that all foreigners are so stupid and don't understand Hungarian, so they can treat other people however they want. Well, i do speak your language and i understood every word while you arrogantly were sitting there and were demanding us to pay for our check-in ignoring the fact that we did have printed flight confirmations for our original cancelled flight, yet we did not have any chance to print these new tickets on that day. And wizzair app for check-in did not work. He did not even apologize when police came and understood what was going on and waited till he will process our check-in. Shame on you, Daniel Kovacs.) Wizzair employees in Budapest airport have pure English (this is airport, you MUST speak very good English if you work with foreign passengers on a daily basis). Flight was cancelled on 8 June 2018. We were refunded only what we paid for our baggage. Today is 22 August 2018. Flight tickets still not refunded. All these months we kept calling wizzair customer help desk around the world. Because the phone number for Hungarian one does not work. Yet, every time wizzair employees saw in their system that we were refunded the full amount. Every time we demanded them to start investigation with their payment team where the money really went. And every time they refused and said that we need to wait more/to email them again/ to call call centre again. Yet ALL our emails remained unanswered. And in 99% cases we could not reach any call centre. They just did not pick up the phone. And today when we were finally switched to Hungarian call centre, they looked in the system (why they could not do it earlier???!!!!) and saw that the transfer that was initiated on 14 June 2018 was declined.... More than 2 months later you find that it was declined?!!! (Really??!!!! Payments control process non-existent in wizzair?) And even now they procrastinate to return our money. Instead of making transfer to the same bank account with the same details as they used for refund of baggage payment they said that only after we will email them the bank account details (again!!) they will make the transfer... We emailed them the details today. So, hopefully it won't take another 2 months to finally receive our money back. I can't remember any other airline so difficult to deal with... Terrible.. And so far not even polite formal apology for this delay.. Also now it appears that they don't guarantee for economy class passengers that there will be a place inside for their hand luggage... They push passengers with small suitcases as their hand luggage to leave it near the steps before boarding the aircraft - this hand luggage will be transported together with checked in baggage. No one cares if you've got there some fragile souvenirs or something that can be easily damaged. I really hope we will never fly with wizzair again.

I would put 0 zero stars if I could. An absolute feeling of being tricked. Upon arrival at the airport I was FORCED to pay 35euros to check in. I never received any email saying that I would have to pay such an amount to do a check in. On the terms and conditions it's not written, on the emails or the terms section for online check in. Zero. I wanted to leave my suitcase at the counter, but I did not find WizzAir's in Vienna Airport. Then I asked a WizzAir employee where to drop my luggage and he said, "go to Gate C". Then I went there, where another employee told me to hand in my suitcase at Terminal 1A, so I run back and forth for free all the time. Later on the plane, another person and I had the same seat, which I have never experienced ... At the end, the flight attendant comes and puts me next to the emergency exit, by far my favorite seat. Unfortunately, you can not rate with less than a star ...
My flight from Vienna to Oslo was booked on 11/11/2019. So long before Corona.
Norway has currently extended the entry ban or quarantine provisions to the end of August 2020. Nevertheless, Wizz Air is not willing to rebook or refund my flight for free in July 2020.

I want to talk about the "beautiful" company "Wizzair"!
In February 2020, my sister and her family (4 people in total) bought round-trip tickets (8 tickets in total) to Germany (Hanover) on June 20. Total 20 thousand hryvnia. Money, as you know, is not small! Subsequently, because of the coronavirus, Ukrainians are not allowed on the flight, tickets disappear. Naturally, they contact Wizzair with a request to return the money to them. In this "wonderful" company they are denied this! Instead, they suggest changing the tickets for the flight next year, but ... (attention!) With an extra charge (!) Of 10 thousand hryvnias! That's all! There are no other options! Or forget about your 20 thousand, or pay extra 10 more! My sister and family were urgently forced to change tickets for the year ahead with a surcharge plus 10 thousand UAH !!!! Total tickets to Germany cost 20 thousand UAH, and 30 thousand UAH. And this despite the fact that no one is sure whether there will be a real opportunity to fly in a year. But they left no other way out. The "wizzair" company decided to cover its expenses at the expense of the Ukrainians.
This is all outrageous, disgusting and unfair! And it seems that for the beautiful Wizzair, this practice is considered normal.

Booked ticket via opodo. Tried check-in via opodo app and got this message: "check in only available at the airport". Tried online check-in and got this message: "wrong name or confirmation number". Tried check-in via wizzair app and after I typed every detail of my passport and personally data there was an error in the last step and I couldn't get back to change anything. I tried it again and got this message: "insufficient payment for your flight, please contact our service". Calling the service is not possible because no one go to the phone. At the airport, before the flight they force you to pay.

Terrible. The standard cabin luggage allowed is smaller than ALL the other companies and since you do not expect it they require you to pay 40 euros (!!) at the check in. So in the end it is not a cheap ticket anymore. They didn't learn anything from Ryainair who has stopped with misleading information to steal money from customers after their reputation was falling deep. Not wizzair anymore for me.

Smooth online experience. Checked and got my boarding pass in the app. Great. When I got to Budapest airport to just drop of the baggage there were only 3 desks open for check in and baggage drop . The line was extremely long and that made it also take a long time. That will bring the total experience rating down to 3 stars.

Just wanted to say that this company doesn't deserve even one star because their way of working is scamming people.
From all i noticed they find a reason to take money from you in the way back and the service is horrible. The only way they say you have to pay is: 'Pay or you don't go home'.

I had a very terrible experience during my flight from Vilnius to London on the 15th of April. I ordered some red wine and shortly after pouring half of the small bottle into my plastic cup I realised that the wine has gone off: it tasted funny and and it was so fizzy like a lemonade! When I complained to the flight attendants whose names where Giedre and Mindaugas they just tried to convince me that the wine was supposed to be like that because it is a sparkling cabernet sauvignon red wine and after that turned around to serve other people leaving me looking at them quizzically. After they finished serving a few other people Mindaugas finally turned around to face me and asked whether I am not going to drink the wine at all. And after I said I had absolutely no intention to drink the wine which was obviously off he didn't even offer me another bottle of wine, he just quickly threw my 4 euros back. I don't think I have ever experienced such a bad service on the plane. I was actually shocked at how rude and ignorant people can be.
First time i witness a flight departing EXACTLY on time and landing even earlier than expected. Price rates are really cheap and I really did not know what to expect - eventually was surprised for the best! These people are very shady and have unethical practices. Bought a ticket for 98. When I called them to change the dates, A Month prior to departure, they requested additional 100 (2x 50) to change.
A whole new ticket would have cost me 128 at that time, for the dates that I wanted.
When asked to cancel the full ticket, get the refund so that I can rebook the ticket, WizzAir said the cancelation fee would be greater than the original ticket price, and no refund would be given.

When I asked the phone-operator, to pass me onto his/her manager, they simply refused. Arguing the managers are not there to speak to the passengers. Giving a full authority to the phone-operators. Literally people with no degrees are deciding on customer satisfaction. How insane is that?

The company draws directly to buy a more expensive ticket. After the extra purchase of priority boarding, when we boarded the empty intact, I became separate with my partner because he drew us to both sides of the plane, although as soon as the 48-hour check-in opened, I immediately checked in 2 minutes later. The booking fee varies between 1500-9000 HUF / passenger, which they still wanted to deduct from us.
Do your best to avoid this company. They will try anything to trick you. They overbooked my flight and didn't want to check in my luggage at the airport. I was told that I can fly but I have to leave my luggage behind. Of course, that was unacceptable so I asked for a replacement flight. I didn't get one or any form of compensation so I had to buy new tickets with a different airline for tomorrow. After my trip I requested reimbursement and first I contacted Wizz Air directly. Their reply stated that I was late for the check in (which was completely untrue) and that they will not reimburse anything. Then I took legal action and was told that the law states that the company has to reimburse only if they deny your boarding and that's not what Wizz Air did in my case. They didn't want to check in my luggage (a service I payed for) but I wasn't denied to board. So this situation is not covered by law and therefore they are not obliged to do anything. I wasn't the only one tricked that day, there were at least 10 more people. Hopefully this comment helps others. I have successfully been avoiding Wizz Air since that day and will continue doing so.
It's one of those airlines that look cheap, but with all the fees and advertising (text, email, in-flight) it's worth it to pay more to not deal with at different airlines. Seat spacing is tiny, so avoid if you are tall or make sure you buy extra space.
I have booked the 2 tickets under numbers FEPR6B and KYP1NQ in Wizz Air Ukraine and received the confirmation of the booking them. But from 20 April 2015 WAU announced that some booked flights can be readdressed to WA Hungary with additional payment in Euro calculated by WAH. Checked in on time on line, went to the airport on line. No service, so couldn't pull out the bar code to scan and go thru the gate. Went to the desk to ask for help, they told me its not their problem and i ll have to pay for new ticket. They are selling more tickets than available places on a plane. When i couldnt open my boarding card they just told me that they sold more tickets and maybe you will get on the plane maybe not . Thats ridiculous.
I had recently renewed or DNI so they gave me a receipt, they did not feel like letting me board, although I explained in a thousand ways that it was legal that I had already done it other times and had not had any problems, apart from making me pay the seats, they denied me the rise, I made a claim but they never responded. You can fly that same day with another company without any problem, obviously paying another ticket, double because I was going with my partner. Conclusion: cheap is expensive. The most terrible flight experience when you have to rebook. First flights; only problems:
- Booked a return flight.
- paid 66 (we didn't care)
- Check-in was 24 hours in progress
- Receive another bill of 35 overnight
- It was only through the call that it became apparent that the system had made an incorrect booking, allegedly sent an invoice by mistake, and that nothing worked
- The return flight was fixed via a fee-based hotline
- Check-ins were not possible due to an "unknown error"
- Called again, check-ins only went after that

Unacceptable legroom! WizzAir offers a seat pitch of only 71cm. This is completely disrespectful to the customer.
They cancelled our return flight without giving any reason for doing so,meaning that i had to arrange a return flight via another airline. They did,however refund me for this flight, but not without a lot of hassle. Would need to be an emergency before i would even consider using them again.

Our flight was on time and good, plane seemed new. Once we got the gate number, we went there and had to queue immediately. No chairs available. Then we heard it is not allowed to carry a handbag (no matter if it is small or large) if you are non-priority and already carry a trolley. Ok so nearly every woman had to squeeze her bag into the trolley - otherwise it would cost 61 GBP. What the ...? On the plane, all the trolleys were stored above our heads, the room underneath the seats were empty. Totally unnecessary stress with the handbags, I am still angry about that. It is allowed to carry a shopping bag from duty free though (keep that in mind - plastic handbag ;) ).
If I could I would give 0 stars, I hope never to time I sell them.

I have only one point of criticism - if you book with hand luggage - you book "priority". Many then believe to be "important" and when checking in there are always unnecessary delays with these "important ones". That should change - because a priority status costs for normal money and that would be correct.
Used them once and everything was ok. Yes, the flight was delayed by 2 hours (luckily I didn't have a strict timeline that day) but they immediately fed us when that happened, something that I have yet to see any airline do in the states. The online checkin didn't work for me either, as others mentioned, but the company I booked through emailed me a ticket with a barcode directly so I didn't have to spend time at the gate agent window. I guess if you have to use them, try booking through Kiwi. I has no issues.
