Didn't have the best experience here. Not much on the menu in terms of decent food. Good range of drinks. The difference between the 'bar' area and 'food' area is not clear and so as a group we sat in the 'bar' area before having to move so we could eat even though a table next to us were eating.

Sumptuous food. Nice setting; a really bonny little pub. The food was excellent, with a well thought-out menu. The waiter was good but had an expectation that what he was going to bring was going to be good any way and so didn't really ask or listen to what we replied. I am a waiter, so a bit picky sometimes. If you want a restaurant experience in a pub; this is the place.

Good food made fresh to order. The fish pie and steak burger were very much enjoyed. No choice for Vegans but there were Vegetarian options. Dog friendly which was a disappointment for us a we prefer not to have yapping dogs around for a peaceful meal.

Gastropub near Blakeney. Definitely a little more upmarket with prices to match. Cosy interior with fireplace. Seating to front and rear. No facility for parking cycles. The IPA I was served was a little warmer than optimum.

Sack the Chef - is what I say. I am giving this one star as there was no option to give zero.
Last Monday evening my husband and I visited the Wiveton Bell and were tempted by the Baked Alaska suite, which boasted 'crisp', 'dry' meringue.
On its arrival, the meringue turned out to be nothing more than a sweet sickly whitemush of marshmallow. There was nothing remotely crisp or dry about it, nor had there ever been, it was not a case of leaving the kitchen in said crisp mode and deteriorated on the way to the table. We scraped the mountain of mush off and had some of the sponge and ice cream.
The waiter on cursorily asking if our meal was satisfactory, seemed stunned when I commented on the state of the meringue, and at my request, said he would speak to the Chef.
No feedback - forgive the pun - was forthcoming and on making payment I enquired if he had passed my complaint to the Chef, he airily said he had done so and that the Chef was sorry we had not enjoyed it! End of!
I said was he going to try harder and he said yes he would be practising with the blowtorch - which I think says it all.

On leaving the premises I saw that there were advertisements on the door for kitchen staff and the like - let's hope that included the Chef.

Really disappointed with staff . Twice now reservation has been cancelled by their system and they told me I had done it . Didn't get table I booked either. No real apology or complimentary drink for.my special birthday which I had told them about. Having said that, food was really good

On arriving the place looks great! Ordered our food, Then went to sit outside, shortly after we were told that we had to eat inside which was a shame as it was a beautiful day. Food tasted ok but the portion size was small, four of us left hungry after paying for a rather expensive weak excuse of a roast!
For the price being asked they need to step it up on the food front! Shame being a coastal pub they can get away with it.

Exceptional lunch experience. Delicious food (the steak sandwich was incredible), great ale and gin selection, and a really nice courtyard garden. Plus only a few minutes drive from the stunning coast.

I really enjoyed the steak burger and the panna cotta dessert was superb, and the other dishes looked great too. Dogs are very welcome too. Booking recommended as it looked pretty much full when we visited.

We have eaten here now on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is good and the staff friendly and efficient. Always a bowl of liquorice allsorts on the reception desk. One day I will ask how come.
Thank you folks

Delicious food and excellent service!

Delicious food and excellent service!
Staff have implemented a number of excellent COVID precautions including well spaced tables (we ate in the outdoor marquee), many hand sanitiser stations and a one way system through the restaurant.

My husband and I both ordered the steak which did not disappoint, very high quality and the chips were also delicious! Desserts were also very tasty! Overall a very enjoyable experience, a lovely atmosphere with tasty and not pretentious food at a very decent price for the quality you get! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Really a restaurant more than a pub now. But it was a Sunday lunchtime when we walked by and decided to call in for a pint. Very friendly staff. And full credit to them for the choice if ales on handpump. - all from small independent or micro breweries and not overpriced. The Sunday roasts looked top quality and generous albeit top end pricing. Just 3 small tables available for non diners and reservations looked essential as so busy. Maybe it's more of a pub again during the week.

On arrival our table wasn't ready for 10 minutes... Not the end of the world. Our waiter was friendly and helpful Now to the FOOD! The flavours were very good, however my lamb was extremely chewy. Unfortunately although the parsnips were full of flavour they were rock hard as were a couple of the roast potatoes. The beef was very good though so overall a mixed bag. I am a chef myself so I know how things should be cooked. Overall a tasty dinner but definitely room for improvement. Would I return? Maybe but I wouldn't have a roast dinner.

More restaurant than pub but has a nice atmosphere and the service was attentive and staff were friendly. Food was pub grub but well cooked and not extortionate. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we left very happy.

One of the go to places on a North Norfolk holiday for foodies. Booking is essential but well worth it - you can always turn up and sit in the garden without booking but there is a chance you will be disappointed.
Parking outside is next to impossible but the village carpark is only 2 mins walk away.
Dogs welcome outside.

Ideal for a traditional sunday roast. Great home cooking with nice fresh and local products. Personally I opted for a lamb roast. The mint sauce was delicious and the Yorkshire pudding just perfect. Small detail in addition: straws are degradable cardboard. Beautiful wine list from around the world.

Excellent food and service and great atmosphere. It's still a country pub, but has great food, the real selection is good with some of Norfolk's best ales and has a good set of Gin's for those that like the stuff. Best of all it is Dog friendly as well
