Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Review

I would give less than 0 if possible. Oscar who is in charge of training people for their practicum, and whoever works side by side with him, extremely rude and downgrading towards they re trainees. Not the least bit impressed with they re professionalism . Calling them stupid, and useless. That is bullying. These trainees tough it out because they need a passing grade. Doesn t mean they need to jump through bully hoops so that they pass. Get a grip Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra!!

The WSO has gone to great lengths to dispel the belief of the old stuffy symphony. The new symphony is a great experience for all ages. The performances to movies are fantastic. ...they even encourage the audience to cheer and applaud during their favorite parts!

Wow, such amazing 'musical athletes'! some exceptional entertainment for every age; Winnipeg is so lucky!

The ballet portion was nice interpretation of changing of the original did not interest me at all

This was the worst performance we have ever seen. We received tickets as a present and still left second song after intermission. More than disappointed.

I am very disappointed that the season ended early but I'm very excited for the next season. I'm especially excited to see the Ninth Symphony. I'm 15 and my dream is to play in the WSO someday playing the Tuba or Trombone.

A vast array of gifted and talented musicians come together to bring the best in classical and pops. Not only can you hear world class favourites but an array of offerings such as a HD movie accompanied by the symphony playing the original score by John Williams or others (e.g. Star Wars vs Star Trek, Jurassic Park etc. ) The audience is behaved, appreciative and welcoming
Enjoy a cocktail during intermission or at some performances a full meal before. The hall itself is good and the entertainment first class.

Hands down one of our favourite acitvities in Winnipeg. A rotating selection of guest musicians are supported by a very versatile symphony. The best shows are the movies accompanied by a live orchestra.

If you are 30 years old or younger make use of Soundcheck pricing while you still can! I lament the day I turned 31..

We have been season subscribers for a number of years now. Thoroughly enjoy the diverse programming and the amazing talent of our WSO musicians. The WSO's repertoire is much more than just classical music . . . the season includes Pops, movies, children's concerts and much more. We highly recommend you check out the 2018/2019 program and plan your attendance !!

I wish more people would come and enjoy. So lucky to have the WSO!

Went to see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was amazing, the symphony sounded identical to the film score. Will definitely be going again.

Amazing performances, beautifully building. Great value for ticket prices.

Went here for two matinee shows and I enjoyed it. They have an extensive line of shows and I'm definitely going back again. It being a place for bus stops allows for easy public transportation if you don't want to park in the lots around the hall.

It was the free community concert! Lots of fun and good music!! All the singers were great!!
