Muskoka Festival Theatre Review

I love supporting our Gravenhurst Opera House. The shows are entertaining, and the sense of community belonging is reinforced here. We are very fortunate to have this lovely historical venue for people here and from far away.

Excellent place to listen to the music of Woodstock . Best of all, the people who performed! Stellar job!!

Wonderful historic venue with live summer theatre, musical performances, and Friday night dinner and theatre summer packages in beautiful century+ building that has been lovingly maintained. So lucky to have the Opera House!

It was nice opera house but the seats were horrible, my but was hurting so bad after 2 minutes of sitting down

Absolutely beautiful architecture, terribly uncomfortable seats (bring your own seat cushion, it will help!), lovely character & ambiance.

Have seen a play and a murder mystery musical here. Great performances. They offered snacks and paid drinks before hand.

Cool building great seating parking on the street in front and the back parking lot good sound system.

It's culture. It's historic. This building is 116 years old. The floors creak, the shows are fantastic. It's a great night out

Great place for world class entertainment. The shows are fabulous and highly entertaining. Staff is great. The building is a very cool piece of history and the legacy of excellence continues with some of best talent Canada has to offer. One of my favorite places.

85 years ago, John Holden brought the first professional summer theatre company to Gravenhurst, truly making the Gravenhurst Opera House the birthplace of Canadian summer theatre. With actors such as Kate Reid, Ted Follows, Charmion King, Barbara Hamilton, Araby Lockhart and Donald Sutherland, the Opera House was a launching pad for many notable Canadians. Open year round, the Gravenhurst Opera House is located right in the heart of downtown and very proud that this long standing tradition continues, with over 100 performances of professional theatre, great concerts, stand-up comedy and more all summer long!

The opera house is well maintained and the staff is friendly.

The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is because the seats are very uncomfortable. But the venue is otherwise outstanding!

Go see the whole season of theatre. Hilarious. A real treat.
