We just booked our wedding here and Michael has been a delight to work with. He has made us feel so welcome and everything question or concern I throw at him he answers and handles accordingly. I can't wait for my wedding day!! I know that they will continue to go above and beyond for me and my guests!
Went to my cousin's sweet 16 party there it was great nice service and friendly people
Frank has a gift when it comes to dealing with people. Frank and the stuff are very professional, kind hearted and unwilling to show you their best. I was beyond impressed with the location I love that everything can be done in one place.
My fiance and I visited today to tour as a possible location for our wedding. We met with Micheal who couldn't have been kinder and understanding of our needs. The location is beautiful and Micheal strived to get us the best financial deal possible. He wasn't pushy and did not belittle our desire to see a few more locations before making our final decision. Overall a great experience and now top of our list for our wedding!
Booked a tour to possibly have an event at this location in the future. Was told it's going to be another 20 minutes mutiple times and ultimately had to walk out without even talking to a manager because they were busy with another client. Waited over an hour and was offered water for myself and an ice tea for my partner. A really nice lady did her best to show us around but was not able to answer the big questions. Although Windows on the Lake looks really nice it's not the most practical. The idea of having over 200 guest cross a busy street while semi intoxicated seems questionable. Not to mention the amount of cobwebs and flies all around the indoor area where people eat. In various areas there were patch jobs and slightly mismatched paint. I'm very sorry Uncle Frank, Micheal was not able to take care of us but hopefully he closed the deal with the other couples.
I have attended some events at Window on the Lake throughout the years and they do not disappoint. When it was my turn to plan an event and I knew just where to go. I had planned to have my daughters sweet 16 in January but there were still a lot of restrictions and dangers due to the pandemic. But Michael and Danielle took their time with me in planning the party and even extended the date to another time so it can still take place when things were better. The food during cocktail and dinner was delicious, the DJ did a fantastic job getting everyone on their feet and dancing, the zap photographer was incredible at catching all the guests and activities throughout the evening. We had the photo booth which everyone had so much fun with. Our attendant was Vickie, she is such a lovely person. She made the girls feel at ease as she helped them prepare and dress for the party. She was very attentive to us during the party ensuring we were having a good time and assisted us throughout the event. The lighting and decor was perfect and everything we wanted, ensuring that the cake, ice sculpture, and set up was anything but perfect. There was nothing but love and fun throughout the day. The staff were professional and very responsive to our requests and needs. It is a day we wont forget!
A good place for events. Has a wonderful view of Lake Ronkonkoma and the food is great. However, I would never host a large event such as a wedding reception here because it is to normal. There isn't really anything special about it.
Beautiful venue and fantastic all inclusive packages
We have just started planning our wedding. After viewing one other venue, we knew this was the place we wanted. Can't wait to see how everything looks. Frank and his partner Anthony are very sweet and attentive when looking at what you want. And if I ever need anything or anyone to talk to or guidance through any troubles, Frank, an ordained minister, gives you his personal cell number, and his card and says "anytime, any problem, I'm here to listen!" That made me feel a lot more comfortable booking this place!
My family spent Easter brunch at WINDOWS and it was spectacular. ...we were all very pleased with food, service and ambience. We look forward to a return visit. Thank you!
Had my Sons 1st Birthday and couldn t be happier! Michael was amazing and so was Charles! All my guests are still raving about the food! It was a perfect day at the perfect place!!!
Great place my daughter sweet 16 had and amazing time great music and food thank you frank, great job you did.
Windows on the Lake & Beach Club Estate have the most incredible staff, beautiful grounds, beautiful rooms, delicious food, and fantastic party packages! They truly treat you like family, which takes the stress out of planning a major event. Their kindness and professionalism, mixed with their breathtaking venues is the perfect combination for the ultimate event! Highly recommended! Michael, Frank, and Danielle are amazing!
GREAT PLACE TO BOOK EVENTS.. WEDDINGS, GRADUATION PARTIES, SHOWERS, BIRTHDAYS..ETC.
THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS
Party over here, very beautiful place elegant setup. Clean updated decor the staff was very attentive we enjoyed the sweet sixteen
Visited during one of their Thanksgiving services. While the price was a bit steep (since it includes alcohol and I don't drink), the food was generally delicious. I'd avoid the seafood dishes, as they weren't good. I really enjoyed the selection of cheeses, meats, and pastas. Unfortunately the sundae bar was out of most everything by the time we finished our meal, so the options were liquid soft serve and white chocolate chips.
My daughter had her wedding at windows on the lake, On March 2nd of 2018. from the moment we walked in and met Frank he became Uncle Frank. He not only walked us through the entire process of what was available but my granddaughter practically jumped into his arms! that's how friendly this places is! Then we had the great pleasure of also working with Michael. You cannot get a better person than Michael!! Seriously, all around great guy. Extremely helpful and very professional, he answered every question we had, and made us so comforatable! Both Frank and Michael made us feel like we were family just planning a regular party. No stress no hassle very easy process. Danielle was right there Answering every question that we had.
The place looked absolutely stunning the food was so good, even my very picky mom was raving about the food days after the wedding. Every staff member that helped during the wedding was on point. Especially Sabrina who did everything for my daughter and her new husband. Frank and Micheal both showed up the day of the weeding as well! Now that's commitment!!
We did the Winter special wedding package it was worth every single penny. Which compared to every other place we looked, was a great deal!!! The DJ was fun, the photographer made sure he did everything the bride and groom wanted, and then some, the flowers were beautiful, and the limo, so pretty!
I wish I could give thus place and all its staff 100 stars!
Thank you all for a beautiful and memorable night!
My nephew's wedding was here. Indoor/outdoor scenery was spectacular! Food was amazingly scrumptious! Drinks was great also. Most of all, it was Covid compliant! Makes me want to get married!
Had my daughters sweet 16 at windows on the lake & the staff was beyond amazing. Extremely attentive & my daughter had the best day of her life. The food was fantastic, the room was breathtaking. I highly recommend windows on the lake
My daughter and her fiance were looking for venues for their wedding, but sadly they talked over the phone with guy named Anthony, who for my taste is rude and no customer service skills whatsoever, he was very dismissive about their questions and concerns, sayin that only 20% does not like the place just because they looked at details too much. Sadly because your venue was on the top of our list, we were disheartened. the place is beautiful, but as a customer we want to be appreciated and have a more professional outlook on how to plan the wedding.
Our wedding is coming up in January and we recently met with Michael. He is the best! From the start he treated us like a priority and helped us to customize our package to what fits best for us. He gave us delicious food samples on our very first visit and was a delight to speak with, offering plenty of great advice and support. The venue itself is stunning, with gorgeous views in both the ballroom and cocktail room, and an overall elegant and classy feel. The packages offered by the venue were extremely helpful, especially as a couple planning a wedding over a several month time span. It was a huge stress relief to find such a valuable yet affordable package for our big day that allows us to communicate with all our vendors through one company. Truly a great experience in the two meetings we have had so far. Every staff member we encountered has been so friendly and willing to help. Would definitely recommend checking out this venue to anyone. Looking forward to our big day thanks to the great staff at Windows on the Lake!
We had a good meal and even live music. The waitress was very attentive and pretty funny. A very enjoyable evening. We met the owner and got a tour if the catering hall. A great view of the lake.
Great place for a wedding. The owners are amazing and their food is excellent.
Thanksgiving there was well worth the money .service was good and food was fine...
I live all the way in Texas so my mother and grandma took on the task of checking out some venues for me. I had my eye on this place via the pictures and it s about ten minutes from my parents home, so off they went! They met with Michael More
Frank was awesome, as well as the other staff memenbers...I had a great time and I know my guests did as well!
Great meeting space very friendly and attentive staff
Attended a Sweet 16 party on 4-24-21. Beautiful place, friendly staff, great DJ, and photographer took beautiful pictures and was quick with his camera to catch every special moment, which was then displayed on the monitors. Everything was handled professionally. COVID precautions were followed. My friend said that they worked with her every step of the way and was very helpful in helping her plan the event. The main room has a beautiful view of the lake.
Windows on the Lake saved my wedding!! I had a different venue which had closed. We were scrambling to find a place last minute. Then we came across Windows on the Lake, Michael O'Brien the banquet manager made me at ease .
He took care of everything and took off all that anxiety we had. He was fabulous! The place and the food was amazing!!! I would highly recommend any event at this venue!
Had a very unfortunate experience today. Tomorrow is the 7th anniversary of my wedding here and we decided to come for brunch. There was no personal space, never mind 6 feet for social distancing. It was $56 per person for a mediocre buffet with dirty plates and empty food trays. At one point, as I was searching for a clean plate through the pile, Ron was disrespectful with me because I expressed frustration after waiting in the buffet line for 25 minutes and not being able to find a clean plate. He tossed a dirty plate to the side almost breaking it out of his own frustration. $56 is a lot of money to feel like a herded cow and to be treated disrespectfully by staff. Unfortunate waste of money and a terrible experience.
Great service, and VERY impressed with the food menu. Frank was fantastic explaining everything and a true gentleman. My wife and I were very happy with the experience overall and the prices are very reasonable. If the location works for you this is a must see. I enjoyed the experience, even though what was told to us over the phone was quite different than what was delivered.
This place is breathtaking for a wedding anniversary or any beautiful occasion love it the lake is beautiful and so it the food
Not sure why this place is called windows on the lake. It s more like windows across the street. You literally have to cross the street if you re having your ceremony there to actually be on the lake. It s a busy street and your cocktail hour feels like it s literally on the street. I felt bamboozled when we took the tour because this place looks absolutely nothing like it does on the pictures. It s not renovated it looks like a run down motel.
Clean and wonderful place for any type of celebration. The staff is very inviting, helpful and definitely worth the price. Highly recommended.
beautiful, gorgeous place. the drinks are amazing. had a great time at this wedding reception. even though the lake across from the venue, lake Ronkonkoma is said to be haunted by an indian princess who fell in love with a white man and her chief father forbade her from having a relationship with the white man. she went into the middle of the lake and killed herself in the 1600s. ever since the lake is been haunted and more than 100 men have drowned in this lake. they say the princess made them drown. travel channel's show "most terryfying places in America ", shows the story of this lake. but the venue is fantastic and the views to the lake are amazing, the sunset was precious. this is a great place to have a wedding and reception
Disappointing. This was an Easter brunch. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated. Many of of foods mentioned in the ad were picked over and looked terrible. There was no one at the omelet station, no lox or cream cheese as advertised. At $49.99+ per person I expected better.
Beautiful night...great company.. delicious food.. Watching The Shack with William P. Young
It's a beautiful place. One day I may take my bride to be there.
So now that the wedding has come and gone, I think it makes sense to make some adjustments to my review. I have a 50/50 on this location which is why I have elected to deduct 2 stars off.
OLD REVIEW: We met with Michael who is fantastic! Very sweet, very helpful, to the point, and hilarious I might add! He made us feel so welcome.
We ended up having our appointment on a cloudy day, yet, we were still blown away at the scenery and how beautiful the venue is. The ceremony takes place right next to a beautiful lake with an amazing view. We can't imagine how beautiful the lake view must look during a beautiful sunset! (Fingers crossed that we have a beautiful day on our wedding day no 10/12/18 :) ). The venue itself is so tranquil and pretty and we went during the day. We're excited to see how it'll look with the decorations and pretty lights!
UPDATE: Along the way of wedding planning, things got a little bumpy along the rode. All in all, the wedding was incredible but I'll explain why 2 stars were deducted.
I'll start with the CONS: Again, wedding planning was a bit of a headache. We had our 3 month prior to the wedding meeting with Anthony (which involved choosing cakes, linens, etc.). Now, this is suppose to be exciting and all, however, he was VERY rude during the appointment. To the point that me, my husband, and my mother all left extremely upset that we demanded for another appointment with someone else. He threw papers at us that we needed to fill out for the venue, made condescending remarks towards my husband when he asked questions which made him feel uncomfortable and he had to hold his tongue from saying something back, and also made racists jokes about attire for the wedding (We were joking around yet being serious that we didn't want anyone wearing jeans or sneakers. Then Anthony says "yeah no turbans either". VERY uncalled for comment... There was also some confusion when it came to some pricing of services.
I'll be honest, after all the annoyance with the wedding planning, I honestly though our big day was going to be a disaster. HOWEVER, I know so far this may sound off putting BUT let me now present the PROS: The actual wedding itself EXCEEDING our expectations and was perfect! The team that catered to the me and my bridesmaids were EXTREMELY helpful, sweet, funny, and accommodating! My husband mentioned they weren't as helpful for him however but anyway again this is the pros.
Everything about the ceremony was beautiful and a true dream come true! I walked down the isle to my husband during a beautiful sundown on the water with a gorgeous crescent moon in the sky. After the ceremony was over, me and my husband and bridal party then took beautiful pictures while our guest enjoyed cocktail hour. I was told I wouldn't get any food during that as it's short but the attendees were able to bring us trays of food from the cocktail hour to me AND my bridal party which was super nice of them!
The reception was SO MUCH FUN! The food was delicious (even though I barely had time to eat it haha). My guest had such a blast, the place was set up and decorated so beautifully, the chocolate fountain was amazing, and just all in all a great party! We didn't get the cake we chose but it still looked beautiful and tasted great!
If it weren't for the headache of the meetings prior to our wedding, I'd give this place 5 stars. I DO recommend this place for a wedding as it's such a beautiful location and the fact that our wedding was everything we could dream of. My advice is to make sure that you plan your appointments with Michael or Frank, NOT Anthony!! Otherwise, you will be off put! Make sure that you have ALL your questions answered and ask as many as you need. Also, WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING when it comes to prices of services so you don't get lost and told something else along the way!
Thank you for an amazing day Windows on the Lake.
We just started planning our wedding and we were nervous and overwhelmed with looking at venues. The minute we walked into Windows on the Lake we knew we were in great hands. Everyone who greeted us was super friendly and approachable. We were introduced to Michael who made us feel SO comfortable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful in aiding us with planning our dream wedding. He answered every question we had and made us feel like we were talking to an old friend. We are now officially booked at this beautiful venue and could not be happier with our choice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Frank A knows how to throw a party. Great food and staff and ambience.
Went here for Easter Brunch. Very unfriendly man checked us in. We had reservations and was told to wait in waiting area. After 20 minutes we kindly asked older maitre d in blue tie if we missed our name being called and we were given the look of "how dare you ask". Seated 30 minutes late. Waitress was kind but staff looked miserable. We watched blue tie bang into a waitress and didn't apologize. Food was average. Ice cream was soup but served anyway. Nothing was stellar. Building was not in great shape, but great view of lake... won't be back.
If you're looking for a wedding venue, look no further. We celebrated our wedding on Sunday, October 20, 2019, and couldn't have asked for better service or better food. From day one, Michael accommodated us with every single detail that we wanted, no matter what it was. He made the planning of this day run smoothly and without a hitch. Every staff member had the entire day under control and yet you didn't even know they were there. Thank you, Michael, Danielle, Charles, Emily, and everyone from Windows on the Lake for making our day an amazing and memorable one.
Anthony Pellegrino and Michael Obrien have been helping to make our Special day just that, with the Wedding being less than 2 months away I have not been stressing myself out at all with their assistance, I can't wait till our Special day is here so we can tell everyone how it went
The bartender Marilyn made the most amazing rum punch!! She also was great at making signature cocktails!
This place is by the water and the veiw is spectacular. A nice venue to host your wedding or sweet 16. Food and staff are excellent
I'm not one for reviews, but we attended a wedding at Windows On The Lake and felt I should write one because we had the best time! The place is beautiful with the views of the water and the DJ had everyone dancing all night! The food was delicious and the staff was amazing! Anytime we needed something it was there! I wish we were having a party because I would have it here. I would definitely recommend Windows On The Lake!
Our wedding is at the end of November and we just had our three month meeting to finalize the menu and a whole lot of other details. Michael was great. He was so helpful and accommodating and provided wonderful advice and support. By the end of the meeting everything was set and we couldn't be happier. The place is beautiful and I am sure everyone there will be make our day incredible. I can't wait!
The ambiance is great and view is wonderful. Great for weddings.
I had the best experience today with Michael at windows on the lake ..I booked my dream wedding on the first day .. he had everything I wanted and needed to ensure I would have a fabulous wedding I am so excited and can t wait for my special day ..
Loved it! Visited Windows on the Lake and was immediately pleased by the hospitality. Banquet manager Michael is really a pleasure to work with. Not only is service top notch, the venue is quite a place to see. The location is prime, on a lakefront and within reach of NYC. Michael was very detailed with our visit and from our first phone conversation, I knew that things would go nicely. They really do have a lot to offer, and I'm excited about planning my event with them. I'd recommend checking them out for your next major event. I'll update my review to let you know more details once my event has passed.
Soooo disorganized would make your head spin .completely confused . Never come here
I just recently had my wedding there September 2nd. Frank Amantia was wonderful from start to finish. He did my ceremony which was absolutely perfect. The bridal attendant Sabrina went above and beyond for my husband that day. We couldn't be more happier that we chose windows on the lake
While I did not ultimately book this venue, I enjoyed a lovely tour with Michael, and a delicious sample of penne vodka. The space was gorgeous and Michael went above and beyond to demonstrate how Windows on The Lake could meet our needs. I would highly recommend other young couples take a tour. The view cannot be beat and I was amazed to learn how much they could offer, especially on a reasonable budget. I would love to attend a wedding here!
I attended the brunch with santa last weekend with my wife and inlaws from out of town. We were told to come hungry by the girl that made our reservation over the phone, and man was i glad i did! The food was so fresh and the ham from the carving station was perfect! What sets this place aside from other catering halls brunches is that they really do make everything on site from the bread to desert and even their pasta! I was stuffed and my inlaws were impressed so i will definitely be coming back here very soon!
Michael was AMAZING to work with to book our wedding. So nice and friendly when dealing with something so special. The view, ceremony space and venue are perfect for any season. Can t wait to celebrate our big day with them. Can t say enough good things about them.
Got married at Windows, it was beautiful. My wife was beyond happy. Highly recommend the cloud and fireworks. Staff was A++ ! Everyone, the owner to the owner to the valet crew.
Had our wedding here coming up on 5 years ago and still haven't been to one as much fun. The prices were amazing compared to what our friends have spent at other places. The food was awesome and the wedding package was the easiest thing to deal with. Also doesn't hurt that we've been the picture on the main page for about 4 years now.
Lovely scenery. Food was very good. Staff was exceptional.
Met with Trevor and then Michael and they were great! Michael explained everything and was able to answer all of my questions. Would highly recommend!
Excellent service. Price was fair. Beautiful venue
Loved it will go back for next affair!
Amazing experience, just booked my wedding here! Had the most amazing experience booking the venue, excellent service and one of a kind experience!!! I can not wait to get married here! Thank you Michael!!
Please avoid this place at all cost. My sister had her wedding at this place and the service, food, was the worse experience I have ever had.
First, the ceremony was at 6:30 P.M. and the place was not ready and once I asked of who was in charge everyone went into hiding. the ceremony started 30 minutes late because nothing was ready.
Second, cocktail hour, no one came and cleaned a plate from the tables. I could not got for a second round because there were so many dirty plates on the tables.
Third, food order was takes at 9: P.M. and the food did not come out until 10:30 PM. I order the Filet Mignon medium and was cooked Rare it was so bloody that I could not eat it. The steak and presentation of plates was terrible.
Fourth, by the time food came out people were ready to go home, Some of our guests left without eating.
Fifth, it was 11:30 PM and the cake was not cut, by this time half of our guests were already gone. I could go on and on but if you are planing an event at this place do not waste your money.
Great atmosphere for any type of event of your dreams , beautiful place will accommodate anyone with finesse !
Went for Mother s Day brunch place was a disorganized over booked mess that followed no Covid guidelines. The line for food was hours to get buffet. At $56 per person ridiculous never ever ever ever ever go here
Good food, service, and atmosphere but holy cow the music was loud. Way too loud. Others at my table complained too but tuffed it out. Me, I had to go sit in the waiting area every now and then to get my hearing back or stuff my ears with toilet paper. I m sitting here writing this and two men walked by me complaining about the volume of the music. No coincidence I m sure. Bring earplugs
This was a sweet 16 birthday party n it was excellent.
Frank was very helpful and The caption took great care of us at the night of the wedding . Over all if you have questions stay in touch with Frank only .
It took me a lot of time and thought to review this venue. I was not sure where to start. I am not one to complain eor leave a bad review. I dont want to make a scene especially a wedding. My husband and I attended a wedding here a few weeks ago. The small waiting area was not large enough for the guests to wait for the ceremony to start. This led to guest waiting standing in the parking lot. There was a crossing guard was helping guests cross the street to the ceremony by the lake. The traffic that was stopped continuously honked at the guests and yelled profanity at the guard. It was not a welcoming experience. During the ceremony the wedding and ambiance was beautiful. However the fact that the wedding takes place near a busy road, the sounds of cars, trucks and motorcycles made it very hard to hear the ceremony music, vows and speeches. It was constantly interrupted by the sound of traffic. Cocktail hour was held outside (so we thought), guests were not notified that there was a extra room inside the venue that was available to us to enjoy food. There was not enough seats and tables for everyone to sit and eat. You would have thought that one of the wait staff would have notified some guests to move inside where they would be more comfortable. You would never know there was another area unless you went inside to use the bathroom. Since 98% of the wedding was in the outside cocktail area, food was always slow to be replenished, Forks and utensils were often empty with no seating and only 1 bar for over 100 guests. Cocktail hour food featured shrimp with pasta Alfredo (Alfredo was just butter and oil with pre packaged mini shrimp) over cooked seafood paella, and stuffed eggplant that was texture lacking. The cold pasta salads were way over salted and inedible. The mashed potato bar was a nice touch however the server was eatting mashed potatos as he was serving guests. Dinner food was average at best. None of the steaks were cooked correctly to order but I can forgive that. We just traded steaks with other family members at the table until we were all satisfied. By this point my date and I didnt have high hopes for anything decent to eat. The wedding candle centerpieces that were provided by the venue melted within the first hour of the reception that got hot wax all over the table cloth and plates. The desserts were delicious however I would be careful when pouring your milk into your coffee. There was brown stains on the inside of the small pitcher. I hoped it was only stain in the porcelain but I was able to wipe the brown residue with my finger and wipe it off with my napkin. I will never recommend this venue. There are so many other local venues with a similar budget, that will not give you terrible food and dirty plates
Good food great service and excellent staff would totally recommend this place to friends and family Michael goes above and beyond the call to make sure your experience is extremely memorable.
