So now that the wedding has come and gone, I think...

So now that the wedding has come and gone, I think it makes sense to make some adjustments to my review. I have a 50/50 on this location which is why I have elected to deduct 2 stars off.

OLD REVIEW: We met with Michael who is fantastic! Very sweet, very helpful, to the point, and hilarious I might add! He made us feel so welcome.

We ended up having our appointment on a cloudy day, yet, we were still blown away at the scenery and how beautiful the venue is. The ceremony takes place right next to a beautiful lake with an amazing view. We can't imagine how beautiful the lake view must look during a beautiful sunset! (Fingers crossed that we have a beautiful day on our wedding day no 10/12/18 :) ). The venue itself is so tranquil and pretty and we went during the day. We're excited to see how it'll look with the decorations and pretty lights!

UPDATE: Along the way of wedding planning, things got a little bumpy along the rode. All in all, the wedding was incredible but I'll explain why 2 stars were deducted.

I'll start with the CONS: Again, wedding planning was a bit of a headache. We had our 3 month prior to the wedding meeting with Anthony (which involved choosing cakes, linens, etc.). Now, this is suppose to be exciting and all, however, he was VERY rude during the appointment. To the point that me, my husband, and my mother all left extremely upset that we demanded for another appointment with someone else. He threw papers at us that we needed to fill out for the venue, made condescending remarks towards my husband when he asked questions which made him feel uncomfortable and he had to hold his tongue from saying something back, and also made racists jokes about attire for the wedding (We were joking around yet being serious that we didn't want anyone wearing jeans or sneakers. Then Anthony says "yeah no turbans either". VERY uncalled for comment... There was also some confusion when it came to some pricing of services.

I'll be honest, after all the annoyance with the wedding planning, I honestly though our big day was going to be a disaster. HOWEVER, I know so far this may sound off putting BUT let me now present the PROS: The actual wedding itself EXCEEDING our expectations and was perfect! The team that catered to the me and my bridesmaids were EXTREMELY helpful, sweet, funny, and accommodating! My husband mentioned they weren't as helpful for him however but anyway again this is the pros.

Everything about the ceremony was beautiful and a true dream come true! I walked down the isle to my husband during a beautiful sundown on the water with a gorgeous crescent moon in the sky. After the ceremony was over, me and my husband and bridal party then took beautiful pictures while our guest enjoyed cocktail hour. I was told I wouldn't get any food during that as it's short but the attendees were able to bring us trays of food from the cocktail hour to me AND my bridal party which was super nice of them!

The reception was SO MUCH FUN! The food was delicious (even though I barely had time to eat it haha). My guest had such a blast, the place was set up and decorated so beautifully, the chocolate fountain was amazing, and just all in all a great party! We didn't get the cake we chose but it still looked beautiful and tasted great!

If it weren't for the headache of the meetings prior to our wedding, I'd give this place 5 stars. I DO recommend this place for a wedding as it's such a beautiful location and the fact that our wedding was everything we could dream of. My advice is to make sure that you plan your appointments with Michael or Frank, NOT Anthony!! Otherwise, you will be off put! Make sure that you have ALL your questions answered and ask as many as you need. Also, WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING when it comes to prices of services so you don't get lost and told something else along the way!

Thank you for an amazing day Windows on the Lake.
