Privilege the white race, that's what I remember from this restaurant, we did not even stay so that I can note the quality of the food. They made me feel like I was back centuries before. Finally we went to the peninsula hotel restaurant and it was nice and stylish and the food excellent

Nice atmosphere and the dishes are just to die for. The card is reviewed frequently so there is always something new. What is always a little annoying is the waitresses, a bit low end, not at the level of the place. There are some that are good but the last time we had one that was haughty and not very professional.

"Here everything is order and beauty, calm and voluptuousness". A striking place of beauty, intoxicating, a unique experience. A splendid terrace delectable in summer accompanied by a delicious glass of white wine or a delicate marriage broth tea. A place with a strong identity, highly recommended!

A tradition every Paris visit is to have lunch here. Great ambiance, amazing food and a beautiful crowd. Classic French dishes mixed with Asian influences makes for a great menu. Don't miss their 1 fantastic bearnaise, 2 allumettes frites and 3 berry dessert with whipped cream.

Impressive, beautiful place with good service and great food. I went here alone for dinner as i was on a business trip, the hostess kindly gave me a great spot facing the fireplace, which made it less awkward to sit alone, very considerate of her! First I was hesitant to go hear because of previous negative reviews, luckily I decided to go and it has been a fantastic experience. It shows that it s not always good to listen to the reviews.

Amazingly beautiful and chic decor with friendly staff. Food is nicely served and is well prepared, but pricey. The restaurant is outside in the open air, but covered with warm blowers, giving the feeling of being inside.

Seated for a late night dinner. We were a party of 2 and literally addressed 1x in a 20+ minute period. We we handed the wrong menu on top of everything because there is a "late night Menu" that has about half of the full menu.

Michelin star prices with HORRIBLE service. The ambience is all you're paying for. Can't emphasize how bad the service is at this restaurant.

Home void,

Home void,
To order dishes we waited more than 40 min, the dishes arrived cold.
Leaving to recover our coats similar, wait more than 8 min, no excuse, miss the reception that came as Lola, not even apologized for turning his back and for this unpleasant home!
Avoid this place!

We called twice a few days earlier to confirm our reservation for 6 on the patio. When we arrived we were told that there was no reservation and that seating on the patio would not be possible. Service was so slow that we had to cancel a round of drinks to go straight to the dinner red wine. The bill was over 800 euros. Lobster pastas were great, chocolate tart dessert was ok but nothing special.
Waiter kept participating/commenting on our conversations which felt intrusive.
What was supposed to be special experience felt like a rip off. Would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Hello,

Hello,

I organized a dinner at Costes last night with friends. This must be my 10th experience at this restaurant. When you go there it is to have a good time in a superb setting with quality cuisine.

Highlight of the show we ate inside next to 3 people from golf countries who were allowed and encouraged by the waitresses to smoke at their table.

The Costes restaurant is it to the point of going beyond the laws to satisfy the desires of a clientele who buy everything to the point of sacrificing the meals of dozens of clients who were around these 3 people?!?!

In short for an average bill at 160 / head I am offended.

And it is decided you will not see me again like my friends and our circle of acquaintances.

We ended the evening in the gardens of the adjoining Oriental Mandarin where the service and the setting allowed us to fully appreciate our late evening around a bottle of champagne.

My two stars are for the decoration and ambience. The rest is terrible.
Food is not up to the standard you'd expect, cocktails are OK, everything is ridiculously overprice and service is TERRIBLE.

Beautiful place that has lost some of its charm over the years.
On the other hand, the reception has become catastrophic! It is not professional, the hostesses do not say hello or goodbye, no smile (I know in Paris it's hard but considering the price we still expect a sketch).
The terrace is very nice. Friendly server but we still waited 40 minutes between the end of our main course and our dessert.
Otherwise it's very good;)

Was great but weird awning on the terrace even when it's gray... I used to love coming here but it's kind of insulting prices and service - it was always pretty skinny girls but now they don't look after you (maybe there's a correlation between weight and being cool - as they are so skinny maybe they pass out while waiting on the kitchen to bring out the dishes?) and really it used to be a refuge of good food, cool atmosphere and an oasis of calm- luckily - The Gaspacho was like a custard- full of flavor - amazing ... the yellowtail new style- no style much much better in LA or Tokyo -
Sad... but I'll remain a fan of Coste as they used to be the place to go for a certain standard of style, atmosphere and good food as they raised the bar as they acquired the tired, worn out, smelly brasseries tossing food at tourist in the 2000's... but now get a new manager and show some pride! This is your best know place - they're still coming but don't you want to do something still great and not be reduced?

I usually love this place for people watching, but after ordering the 54 lobster pasta (the only thing i ate that day other than a croissant) I got food poisoning. It s beautiful and such a great spot but I m really disappointed their food wasn t prepared up to snub.

Terrible customer service and rude waitresses! I think they hired bunch of rude and unprofessional waitresses who did not know how to work and treat customers, they kept breaking plates and glasses which was very unpleasant! One of them dropped our wine bottle so most of the wine was wasted and we were so shocked she wasn't even apologizing and kept busy on her phone !! After few minutes she saw what she has done , she just sent someone to clean up and charged us the whole amount for it!! Terrible experience !

We came here for lunch and we seated right away. Food was very good service is very average. You literally have to waive people down to order get plates, order etc. Cool experience service needs a major upgrade. This is a result of the no tipping policy I suspect. How can you be motivated to give good service when you are not going to get a tip.

Great atmosphere and its very "shi-shi", so great people watching. We only stayed for drinks- not food/accommodation. Victim of being so hip and cool though, is that the staff seem to believe their own hype. Arrogance reigned here, and we were treated like we were plebs at least a handful of times. But to be honest, this is very common of these types of spots, so what did we expect. Enjoy it for what it is and ignore the rude staff.

It might be interesting to train the service staff someday. One of my worst experiences in a bar in Paris. Scornful waitresses, serving champagne glasses at 17 without a tray !!! Amazing that this place is so popular.
