It's a good example of a long term eco project that has grown in local stature over the years. It now includes a childrens nursery, a wonderful temporary cafe( the new bigger better version will be ready in May ) and a training centre which l was attending to discuss improving your community and it's environment. We had presentations from many projects including Avon Wildlife Trust and naturalist Check Sperring. Lunch was healthy, the lentil soup was delicious and l snuck away with extra carob cake. We didn't get much time to explore the grounds as our schedule was packed, yet what l saw was pretty impressive. I encountered families and primary age school kids being shown around the animal pens and allotments all deeply engrossed in the experience. They support internships.

It's always so relaxing to come and walk around. I love seeing all the animals and walking through the veg patches. Unfortunately the wait on food was quite long even though it wasn't so busy. A heads up on a time would have been nice

Hidden gem if you have kids. Free entry (though it's a charity so donations are very welcome). You can park in nearby streets for free on Saturdays and Sundays. During the week you can park for free at nearby Asda Bedminster (time limit there is 2.5h - and carpark is for customers only). Selection of farm animals, and variety of crops in small allotments will allow your child explore the wonders of farming and gardening.

Absolutely love this place, I am a local Nanny who comes to the farm often and meet other nannies and Childminders here, we love the space outdoors, seeing the animals, the digger area, the mud digging area and especially the forest/den area at the back. The children could spend hours here and to add to it they've now got a little adventure playground! We also love the cafe and the food AND amazing cakes.
However, the last couple of times I have been we have been asked not to eat inside if the children have had their own packed lunches. I do feel this is very unfair and a has made us feel a little unwelcome as it hasn't been on particularly warm days ( when we have sat inside the cafe) and we have bought food for adults and always cakes and coffee from the cafe. There is also a bit of a seagull problem with stealing food when sitting outside in the cafe area and another time the seagull stole my uneaten food from the cafe and I asked for a replacement and again the staff member who served it to me wasn't very welcoming about serving me again. I feel like this has slightly put a downer on the experience of visiting the farm.

This place is so much more than just a farm! There are animals to see and pet, but the farm also acts as a hub for the local community. I haven't the space here to list every service they offer, but the place is well worth a visit and as it's a charity a donation would be good too.

I love this farm. My 1 year old and I go at least once a week. He loves running around and interacting with the animals and messing about in the play areas. The staff are all so friendly and I love seeing all the volunteers helping out, wish I had some spare time to get involved too.
If you've got time make sure you stop in the cafe. My recommendation is the carrot or courgette cake.

Nice place to go for a couple of hours. It's free which is great and there is a cafe if you would like something to eat. Not a huge amount of animals but they do well with the space they have.

This is such a great place to bring young children or even to go just as adults. This is a working farm, where they grow their own crops and you can walk around and see them work as you visit. It is very well maintained and there is a cafe on site as well as a picnic area.
There are plenty of warning signs about washing hands after touching fences and animals which is very good. They have toilets on site and a large area to wash and dry hands.
There is plenty to do on a wet or dry day. Non-profit and free to get in. Excellent all round!

I adore this place! Fab place for kids and cafe is really nice. The staff are all lovely and the food is fresh and tasty. It's free to enter as well, and has a sandpit, play area, little wood for den building, and gravel pit with toy diggers and dumper trucks.

Love this oasis of nature in the heart of Bristol. The cafe is amazing and really child friendly. And the staff are very informative, helpful and engaging.
My boys both loved exploring the wildlife garden, which they have both visited on school trips where they were shown how to pond dip, fed the animals, foraged in the gardens then cooked up pizzas in the outdoor kitchen.
There is so much to this amazing place....but let's keep it as our little secret!
