When the tornado hit our neighbor hood we were able to call and they were able to get our power last fixed in time for Lakeland electric to connect us. There pricing was very fair and in fact was half of what my neighbor paid for the same service from another vendor. I know these are electricians to trust! Thank you again for helping our family after the tornado.

Wilson employees know their business well. If you want an expertly done job, pay for them and you won't be disappointed.

I called this company and asked what their hourly rate was. I was told $80 per hour from when the service tech arrived and left. I asked if this included any traveling fees or charges and they specifically said there was none. The service tech arrived and fixed the issue within 10 minutes I then asked him to address another issue and he seemed upset like I was waisting his time. He lolly gagged around the house just waisting time and never addressed the issue and spent another 20 minutes in his truck doing paperwork. I was charged 1hour and a half including the time he drove from his prior job (30 minute drive). I would not use this company again nor recommend them.

This has been the most pleasurable experience ever. Jim, my technical profressional was absolutely awesome. Found all my problems fix them and more. Wilson is my choice forever. Thank you Jim for everything you did and the rest you will be doing for me. Everything was done in a timely manner. Wonderful experience. Had an issue with outside outlets not working. Wilson Electric was able to get someone out to the house the next day. Ben was able to figure out the problem within a few minutes and had everything fixed quickly at a reasonable rate. Ben was very knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. I will definitely call Wilson Electric if I ever need an electrician again. Thank you Ben!

Jason did an amazing job installing our new lightening!!! . He went above and beyond to make sure our lightening was installed to "HIS" and our satisfaction. Jason also made some other suggestions to make improvements to the quality of lightening at our property and we are requesting that he is the one to come back to do the next stage of installation. Great company!! They ve been in business since 1922 and their motto is quality over quantity. They do great work and stand behind what they do. The service department goes above and beyond to take care of all your needs. Their pricing is in line with other electrical companies in the area. Call Doran or Katie in the service department, I promise you will not be disappointed.

About the only positive thing I can say is they scheduled me very quickly after Irma. Now maybe I'm wrong but I've never been charged per hour starting when our electrician get to the shop, his start time is 7am. That's when I started getting charged the $80 an hour. So I'm guessing I had to pay for him to get tools and materials ready for my job. Had to pay him to stop somewhere and get breakfast, coffee ect. It's a total 15 min drive to my house. He showed up 7:50am. He seemed to do a good job, and I'm not knocking the electrician. I'm pretty upset on how we were charged. He finished the job about 9:45 give or take a few minutes. I also was charged $200 for a $89 permit, I asked why, I was told because we have to come back and tape the permit to the meter box for inspection. So now I'm also paying $110 for someone to do this task. I was over charged an hour plus the permit. If you value your money don't use this company, I think I now realize why it was so easy to book them just after the hurricane.

Never will I ever recommend or use this company. After hurricane Irma, we needed an electrician to transfer our equipment from our pole that broke to a new pole. Called and asked their fee and was told by Katie and Dorin that their charge was $80 per hour. Scheduled for them to come, they arrived at 11:30, left at 11:45, then returned at 1:00. Finished the job at 4:00 (I have been told by several other companies that this job should have taken 1-2 hours MAX). The electrician presented my mom with the bill that reflected his hourly rate of $80/hr AND a helper at $45/hr. When mom said we were told $80/hr, the guy responded by saying "Oh, they forgot to tell you about the helper fee". So he steps aside, calls the VP of the company and says he just doesn't feel right about the charges. He took an hour off and $10/hr off. Still we paid $345 for what should have been a maximum $240 job. Once I spoke with Dorin and said that he should honor his word, he tried to say he would charge us $80 for 4.5 hours of work. Once I told him I was going to be making phone calls to the BBB, the attorney general and news channel 8, he said ok, I will return your check and you can pay the $240. Never ever call these people, their workers are great, but the office staff rips you off.

Actually very reasonable on labor. Fixture prices seem a little high but also look to be good to very good quality.

Called to set appointment for generator transfer switch installation. Spoke with Dorin at Wilson Electric on Thursday 9.14.17 he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. My appointment was set for Tuesday 9.19.17 and the electrician Josh showed up right on time. He was extremely efficient, professional and did the job right. I can recommend Wilson Electric with confidence. Thank you for the great work!

Saw potential where others said no way. Wanted can lights in kitchen and was told by another electrician it couldn't be done - only track lighting. Wilson came in and did figure out how to do the can lights and for the same amount the other guy was going to do track lights. No brainer.

Terrible! Called to get an estimate the guy comes and seems like he didnt know what was wrong then . Then tells me they will email my estimate I'm a couple days waited a week and didn't get anything so I called then I call and get put on hold for several of mins and get hung up on . So I call back and finally get attended and they "resent" it and yet havent got anything back .

I had Julian from Wilson Electric out to my house to add several recess lights in the master bedroom and outside in the soffit. He did a great job, they look fantastic, and I was very pleased with the price! I would not use any other company!! Definitely would recommend!

After the first serve call the said they couldn't come back to help me

My range stopped working - appliance guy said it was a problem with the circuit, so I I hired Wilson to come out and take a look. They sent Jim over. Jim showed up on time. He checked things out and was quickly able to diagnose the problem - improperly installed circuit breaker. He fixed it, and I now have a working range again. Very pleased, and I'll use Wilson for any future electrical needs.

They came right away it's was a weekend 4th but it was a power line down the other company a few years ago said a line was down 150 .00 for 5 minutes

Wilson sent out Ben and Jason to work on an emergency repair. When the problem was more grave than initially suspected, they stayed until it was fixed, many hours after closing. Their tenacity, thoroughness, and kindness will not be forgotten, and I will not hesitate to recommend Wilson Electric to anyone needing work in Polk County.

1st my initial call to the company I told them the pole on the house is leaning and I couldn t not get it up by myself. A few days later a technician came to my house and five minutes in the job he stated he had to call for help. At 345 he arrived, 350 he called the other guy at 437 other guy arrived, no work was done during this time, at 515 they were finished,. One tied a rope around the pipe and pulled, plus my boyfriend helped, the other was putting the brackets to the wall, to try to fix it, it worked but was leaning a small amount. I told them I would have been fine with that but 1st technician wanted to fix it right, no complaints there. Then the first tech that showed up tried to pull on the top of the pole and broke the weather head. They had to cut the lines and replace that part. Both were on the roof to fix it. My main thing is the technician didn t tell me I was going to have to pay $90 an hour for each of them. I asked several times to speak to his boss he wouldn t let me, until I told him I was calling the answering service, and actually dialed the number, had them on the phone, before he called his boss Then he called someone named Doran and said it was his boss. His boss told him to leave, I told him several times I wanted to pay him but do not think it is right that he did not tell me it was going to cost you me another $90 an hour for each tech and he charged me for the hour it took them to fix what my technician broke plus the time he had to wait in the van. However, he left before I got off the phone with the answering service. This is the next day and his boss still has not called me. I guess I have to call Monday so I can pay them a proper fee and pay the company. This post is to be updated at that time. . . . Today is now Monday, October 12, 2020, Doran called me before 8 am and was extremely polite. He worked with me on the cost and removed the second technician fees. I did pay for the wait time on the other technician and for the time it took them to fix the weather head.
