A wonderful experience

A wonderful experience

First time and really amazed by the historical look. It doesn't look like a hotel and when I called for directions, I was literally at the stop sign. Of course I giggled!
The hotel overall experience is really 5 star times 5.
Jesse and Trina greeted me on different occasions with a warm and happy smile, which tells me that the other staff is the same way.
My bed was very comfy and too bad I had to work cause I would have stayed in.
Breakfast is amazing as well. 10 bucks can basically get you a buffet and a personal chef to cook you right at the bar anything you want. I love it.
Save me a room because I will be back.

I ve stayed there once by myself for a couple of days. The staff was very accommodating and friendly! I found everything to be up to the standards of any other nice hotel I would choose to stay at. A hidden gem in Wildwood for sure!

It was a great place for a weekend away with my wife, but I felt like the pictures were misleading. The pictures looked like it was a stand alone structure, when it was really nestled in to an outdoor mall type area. Also the rooms look amazing in the pictures, but in reality it was a normal hotel room with a jacuzzi. It was one of the cleaner rooms we have stayed in, and the staff were good. We just left the weekend feeling like we paid for more than we got

When staying at a hotel mostly concerned about cleanliness . The hotel was clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Pool was nice but seemed to be over chlorinated. Hot tub was tiny , but out of service anyway . Nice location and quiet

Located right across from the town theater and police station, the Wildwood Hotel is the platinum level of Best Western hotels. The rooms are spacious, clean, and priced well. The location is close to Chesterfield so you can shop or go to the larger shops with little traffic. There are quite a few restaurants within two blocks and a Walgreens on the same block. The entire area is still relatively new and clean.

My room was on the 4th floor and although it did not have a balcony it was still fantastic. The front desk personal were all exceptional. I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.

Overall the hotel was clean and we had a nice stay. Service was ok, but the several times we interacted with staff they seemed less than enthused to help us. Considering other similarly priced accommodations this place is lacking and honestly rough around the edges. Don't get the breakfast buffet, it's not even worth the $10.

Smaller room than expected (tight). Rate wasn't comparable to hotels of this standard. Holiday Inn seemed to be nicer in quality. The room was not serviced daily. Great location, service was friendly and polite. Appreciated garage parking. Nice breakfast. Very small pool and gym room. Best for midweek stay when there aren't many people in the hotel.

We stayed at the Wildwood during the Eclipse on 8/21/17. We were lucky enough to get room 1400 which is on the top floor in the corner. It was the only room in the hotel that had an unobstructed view of the eclipse from the balcony.

The beds are VERY soft, too soft for my taste. The linens were nice and comfortable. The bathroom was nicely appointed though not as clean as I would expect. There were cobwebs and dust near the bottom of the outside of the bathtub. The corners of the formica(?) tub surround were dirty and the caulk was cracked in places and turning rust-colored. Shower pressure was slightly less than you normally get at hotels, which is usually not great. The rest of the room was clean. The mattresses and box springs are wrapped in bed-bug proof fabric. Hopefully that was a preemptive move on their part.

The pool here was quite cold and cloudy with a green color to the water or pool surface. Also, we kept getting strands of hair on us while swimming around. I'm guessing that the filter is not filtering very well. The hot-tub is nice though small in size, It was a good temperature.

Breakfast at the Wildwood is great. All of the standard breakfast items but also an omelette bar. The food was hot and fresh and the servers clearing the tables were very pleasant.

I would stay here again if in the St. Louis area. The surrounding area has plenty of shopping, eateries, and entertainment options.

I was planning on staying here for a one night stay and prepaid online. I did this more than a week in advance, but then 5 days before I was planning on staying, I called and tried to cancel due to a medical emergency and I wouldn t be able to make the trip. Even with giving them 5 days heads up, they weren t able to refund any money due to company policy. After speaking with friends in the St. Louis area that have stayed here before, they have had the same problems due their unique company policies. I understand I check a box and agreed to the terms, but I don t understand how in 2018 we can t get some sort of refund. I have never stayed at a hotel where they don t have a refund option and maybe this is why big brand hotels are easier to work with.

Jeff at the front desk was very accommodating and was able to make the detailed changes I requested for my upcoming stay. Competence at the front desk is so rare these days! Nice to do business with a hotel where this is recognized. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and the attention to detail and customer service is superior and exceeds my expectations~Which are high! And that's why I like to review when it so rarely happens!

I was there for a Conference this morning 3/8/2019 and the female working the desk was rather rude with us, I'm not saying this to get her in trouble, but I think she represents what's supposed to be a top notch establishment and anybody who visits your establishment(home) should be treated as though it was such

The best part about the hotel is the buffet. The hotel itself is okay, but not luxurious. For the price we paid, we could have stayed somewhere much nicer. The pool was tiny with a deep end of 4 feet. The hot tub did not work - which should have been mentioned when we made the reservations.

I made a reservation for June 18 & 19 for TWO room...

I made a reservation for June 18 & 19 for TWO rooms through their on-line reservation system and to my surprise when we arrived; we only had one room reserved in their system. After a long day in St. Louis and arriving late after a Cardinals game with kids, I was extremely displeased to discover we did not have the rooms we reserved. After waiting in line behind two men, who did not have reservations and were provided two separate rooms for the evening, I was extremely upset that my rooms were not available. The clerk indicated I only had a reservation for one room and they had no vacancies for several days. I provided him with my reservation confirmation that clearly indicated two rooms. He graciously offered to put a roll away in our one room so we could accommodate 5 people instead of the 7 of us. The closest hotel that had availability was 24 miles away. So we loaded our tired selves up and navigated our way through the dark, hilly, wildlife-filled terrain to the other hotel. I called the Wildwood Hotel manager the next morning, she was going to follow up with me, and was told they would compensate the difference between our hotel rates between the hotels and that we would get a complementary stay at Wildwood. Needless to say neither of these promises were fulfilled. As far as I am concerned, this speaks volumes about their management.

I have chemical asthma. Gave them a week to have a room as requested...no deodorizers, no chemicals used in cleaning...room wasn't ready at 7pm and they didn't have one without deodorizers!!! Front desk area very perfumed...hallways worse...room likewise. I have little choice but to stay here as I am attending a workshop here tomorrow. Will never come back to this place. Double pneumonia tomorrow...here I come.

No closet, no ironing board. Bed WAY to soft!!!! Couldnt sleep at all. Front desk staff acted as though you were an imposition rather than a guest. The air conditioner rattled very loudly! Seriously overpriced for offering. Best part about it is the restaurant next door. Never stay here again!!

It is a really beautiful hotel staff is super friendly they have a indoor heated pool small but nice and a really small hot tub but the rooms are beautiful really beautifully appointed it's close to some stuff around there and it's just a nice area and really has pretty reasonable prices for as pretty as it is I think it's a good place to have weddings and stuff like that but we really enjoyed it for just a few day getaway

Not bad. Bed was clean, but was soft. Fridge made noise, but comes empty, so I unplugged it.

Pool and hot tub looked good, never went in. Breakfast was eggs, hash browns and bacon or sausage with like 12 other items and coffee/juice and was good.

Staff was nice. Pretty sure ATM tracked my card because I instantly got a phishing scam from Charlotte NC and I'm from Canada and only used it there on my trip.

If you book the King Jacuzzi suite, you need to ask for the floor that has the pillars on the jacuzzi. The 4th floor has high ceilings, but no pillars around the jacuzzi as shown on the website, if that makes a difference to you. Excellent customer service and all employees were nice and helpful. Loved my stay!

What a great hotel! Beautiful inside and out. Accommodations, staff, breakfast in the morning, all were a 10 out of 10. If anywhere in the St. Louis area, make an effort to find this gem hidden away in the town of Wildwood, about 15 minutes west of St. Louis. You will be glad you did.

This was such a beautiful hotel - especially for the price :) The rooms are decorated really tastefully (not "hotel-ish" if ya know what I mean)and the bathrooms are large with a really pretty vanity. Also, the beds are extremely comfortable! Oh and there is a nice pool area and smaller gym area but it has everything you need. I'd definitely stay here again and I recommend it for sure!

Very nice place and polite staff. The rooms definitely could be cleaner though, I have been a housekeeper and can tell they don't deep clean to my standards. Overall a nice stay and very nice style, but I'm weary of the cleanliness of the rooms.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we were in (the Jacuzzi room) was big and nice. The bed was incredibly soft and comfy. There are few restaurants very close. Some even walking distance. And a nice movie theater right across the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and are looking forward to coming back.
