I stayed one night at the Wildwood after a trip to Six Flags. This hotel will be added to my list of "go-to" hotels. The surrounding area is very charming. There are plenty of shops and places to eat. Each staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. They really made us feel as though we were valued as guests.
Due to covid, the hotel had extra safety measures in place and a mask is required in all common areas. For example, you are required to check in with the front desk before entering the pool area. Also, the normal breakfast offering is not provided at this time. There are sundry items available for purchase if desired.
We stayed in a king room with sofa. The room was just a basic room but it was decorated nice and very clean. The bed was the most amazing part of the room! It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. It really did feel like I was laying on a huge cloud.
Make sure that you bring your own personal care products. Most of us are used to lotions, extra soaps, shower caps, etc. However, those are not provided (or at least were not in my room).
The pool was a normal hotel sized pool. There was not an overpowering smell of chlorine like some hotels have. One down side was the hot tub was broken (other reviews mention previous issues with this).
Overall, this was a great hotel for a great price. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area.
