Very nice place for kids. Friendly staff, clean, and priced resalable
Great for the family. Several indoor/outdoor activities. Not over crowded like indoor Mt Olympus.
We are staying the resort on the lake. Personally I have no complaints about the water park facility. The water parks are great and kids love them. However, I am very disappointed by the customer service during checking in. First of all, I booked the lake resort, the information sent to me were to check-in at the main resort. We were told that were not it and sent us to the lake resort.
When I walked in the lake resort, 3 staff members were there talking and laughing. When I asked for help, a lady came to the desk and check me in with attitude like I was bothering her. At the time that I was checking in it was passed 4pm (check in time) but I was told they will text me when the room is ready and I will have to wait in the car.
First night, I called for more blanket because the kids got cold, I was told "I will see if I have any." ...
I was expecting a better customer service at the front desk at this type of resort. I was really disappointed.
We have been here at least 5 times. Always fun, clean, and friendly staff. Stayed in the presidential suite this time. Pricey, but nice and plenty of room for the kids. Fireworks were great!
Great place for kids. Food and drinks get expensive real quick.
The Dells are expensive. Wilderness is no exception. With that said, the waterparks were clean, and it was a fun time for the family. When it comes to cost, expect 300-400 a night for a family of 4 with most meals averaging between 40 and 50 dollars. The place is absolutely huge, and has nice waterparks though.
Horrible booking experience. Tried to take advantage of a special and after we called to confirm the special, which they said was good, they changed it and would not honor it for us. Most likely just going to cancel and sad to see another big business let down a family of 6.
The water parks were fun... Room was not very clean.
My kids had such a great time. It is great for all ages.
Customer service is excellent, with a cabin like feel. Only bad thing for us was they had one waterpark closed until the day we got there so didn't get to try it
First time staying there. Definitely a couple of steps up from Mt Olympus..
Amazing for the price. We got a 2 bed room for 8 people and we got exactly what we wanted. Came with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a jacuzzi and even a balcony view of the lake. We also got TVs in every room and 2 bathrooms. We stayed for 2 nights and it only cost $190. Though it's not close to the resort, there's a shuttle that takes you there and it is completely worth the stay.
This place is way over-priced .. the lifeguards were rude and lazy .. so many drunk people which was concerning for our children especially because security was keeping pretty busy with them.. This place is way too crowded and the rooms are very outdated and smell so musty.. we will never recommend this place to anyone..
Rooms in Glacier Canyon VERY noisy-could hear every word spoken in hall, adjacent rooms, and every step taken above us. HORRIBLE signage, hard to navigate, very long hallways (sometimes to nowhere) even map not very helpful. Skinny doorways, lots of stairs (NOT stroller/ wheelchair friendly), most passageways only accommodate single-file traffic. Staff not the most friendly about wristbands or pool towels or check out times. 3 separate water park areas indoors, and one closed at 3pm on the weekend, which definitely upset the kids after the ridiculously long walk to it. Good arcade but $10 got my kid 4 games. There was a nice jungle gym area that was surprisingly free, but bring socks (their $3 sock vending machine has horrible, scratchy, floppy ankle- length, ill-fitting tube socks).
The kids did really enjoy the waterparks, slides, wave pool, and games. TLDR; kids liked it, adults hated it.
Great value for the rooms, especially compared to neighboring resorts. The number if activities besides the water park features were fantastic. It is a large resort and can tale a while to navigate from one place to another, but there is plenty to do, eat, and drink for adults and children.
Too expensive, lines too long, reminds me of the last water left in a safari before the drought. Gross
Very nice pools and slides very large and not very stroller friendly but overall very nice
We had a ton of fun! The Hurricane was the best! Rooms were clean, staff friendly!
There have over 8 different water parks, a theme with indoor go carts, mini golf, games, laser tag and more. There is so much for the kids to do . There are plenty of restaurants as well. The downside is you have do ALOT of walking to go to each activity because they are all not in the same building. Shuttles are available but they come every 15 to 20 minutes. Overall a GREAT place to vacation with the family !!
Great experience. We had an amazing time! We loved the water park and the other amenities. Will come back again.
We stayed at the W.O.T.L. The room was amazing and a huge hit with my husband and kids. The water taxi a huge plus as well as the shuttle (once we figured the system out). The one complaint I have are about some of the lifeguards. Multiple times I witnessed the lifeguards engaging in "social conversations" with guests while on duty! One guard looked over the infinity pool a total of three times in an hour while flirting with a group of guys crowded around her. This is so concerning to me and a huge disappointment. I don't expect them to babysit my children, but I would like the confidence in knowing that if one of them were in trouble, a lifeguard would be able to spot it. Also, the buffet at the frontier advertises that kids under 8 eat free with purchase of adult buffet (1 for 1) but then they charged me for both of my children under 8. I guess I'll have to bring the receipt and inquire about that. Otherwise, it's everything you would expect in a busy waterpark.
Great family vacation spot. We try to get back every year.
Fun place to go with your family but you will spend money. Everything is expensive, so you have to think about the value of a great vacation. Sometimes this page is super crowded and the crowd is composed of teens and children. It's a super fun place of you have the time and money.
Love the wave pool and swim up bar. I wish there was an outdoor bar to swim up to though.
The resort was really good. Just that it was more for kids than adults
160 a night. First night sink backs up. Shower pressure is low. TV has a black line in it. 2nd day go to the waterparks come back house keeping didnt even show up. Had to go back to the front desk to ask for house keeping. This place is an over price motel 6 that has a water park. Even those were ok. More for kids than a whole family. Hot tub had luke warm water. To top it off there was trash under the bed from god knows how long. If I were you I'd go somewhere else.
Very nice people, willing to help. The parks are great, the water is warmish.
No actual restaurant inside the complex, mainly pizza.
They have 2 arcades, go karts, rope climbing, so kids are very happy. Worth going.
I've stayed at the four major resort's in the Dell's. This was close to being the least expensive, but easily the best all around experience.
Something for every age: 3 kiddie pool/play area, swim up bar. Rained most if the day but no problem with indoor waterparks and 2 indoor arcades.
The room we stayed at was on the first floor unfortunately our neighbor rooms were very noisy and could hear them talk all night and could hear people slamming doors and running in the hallways....so I had to come back and edit my previous review, we stayed 3 nights and we noticed housekeeping would not do a very good job starting by not using no vacuum on carpet, we would leave in the morning and coming back to the room in the afternoon notice carpet unvacuum. Another thing we noticed was the bathroom toilet was never cleaned it had stains all over....horrible...the only thing they would do was throw out garbage and attempted to do the beds...after reading other reviews and noticing management being rude I really did not wanted to waste my time at all....... please wilderness read all reviews and fix issues.
It was good it had a lot of things to do and I was really content with it.
Stayed in the presidential suit and it was really nice and spacious.
Glacier Canyon Lodge is a perfect stay if your looking to have an amazing time at the Wilderness resort, or even any part of the Wisconsin Dells.
I personally have stayed in both the presidential Suits Located on the top floor, along with the deluxe. The moment you walk in the door you will be happy you spent your money here. Full kitchen, living room, dinning area, a beautiful master bedroom, and an awesome fireplace. Along with all that you have a great view of the outside water park on the patio. The staff is incredibly friendly and if you have any problems they are more than willing to help you. Overall extremely satisfied with everything from the staff to the beauty of this place and would recommend to all.
I enjoy going the Wilderness, it's a large water park resort. At the Wilderness there is 3 indoor parks, Klondike Kavern, Wild West, and the Wild Waterdome, all 3 are very enjoyable, you can spend the whole day from when they open to when they close enjoying your time. If you get hungry for something to eat you can order a poolside pizza delivery from Klondike Pizza for you to eat on the poolside at a table at any of the waterparks, I do not know about Willderness on the Lake since its away from the main resort. The outdoor water parks, New Frontier, Lake Wilderness, and the Lost World are great outdoor waterparks, New Frontier is located in between Klondike Kavern and the Wild Waterdome, it has a few waterslides but it is overshadowed by Klondike and the Waterdome, I think it need some revamping. Lake Wilderness is a fun waterpark outside the Wild West, it has some fun but basic slides but again overshadowed by the Wild West and need some revamping and something to draw people out there, this can also help the long wait times of the Black Hole giving them somthing else to ride. And Finally to end my review of all the main resort Waterparks the Lost World, this behemoth of a waterpark is a huge fun outdoor waterpark with lots of unique rides not found anywhere else such as the Lunar Loop and Cosmic Drop bodyslides, the Comet Mat Racer Slides, the 2 level Lazy River and more pools, spa's and activities like basketball hoops, lilly pad obsticle walk, and kiddie slides for young children. After your time at the waterpark there are 3 arcades next to every checkin and checkout lobby's, other attractions include Virtual Reality, Mini Golf, Go Carts, Lazer Tag, Lazer Maze, Pottery, an Escape Room, Ziplines, a Rope Course, a Rock Wall, and more. To conclude their are a lot of eateries exclusive to the Wilderness, to many to name, and good restaurants nearby, such as Famous Dave's, Macs, Hu Hot, and more. A lot of attractions nearby include the Wisconsin Ducks which picks people up at the lobbies, Tommy Bartlet Exploratory, and Show, you get a free pass to the show with your stay, the Wisconsin Deer Park and much more.
Had such a great time with my family. There is so much to do that you really don't even have to leave.
My family has been coming to Wisconsin Dells once or twice a year as long as I can remember. The Wilderness has become our favorite resort. There is so much to do, both inside and outside, so you can come anytime of the year. I love that they are always adding new things. Most recently I tried out their new virtual reality experience and it was amazing! My favorite thing I did this trip.
Always a good time and kids like the variety of waterparks. Miss the discounted fun passes, $50/per for the stay is a bit rich.
Great experience, enjoyed all of the waterparks, arcades, and activities they had to offer our family. The room was great, roomy, clean, big refrigerator, and comfortable beds. I do not have a single complaint to report. Will definitely only go to Wilderness Resort for now on.
Great indoor waterparks! Fun for the while family. Clean and warm environment.
Huge indoor waterparks, and plenty to do with a family!
Could have been slightly cleaner but over all super fun. Definitely spring for unlimited bracelets as my kids loved the go carts, laser tag and ropes course. 3D mini golf was pretty amazing as well. Great place to have some fun family time.
Always fun here. Wish we could afford the luxury rooms.. Hint hint (wilderness)..
Great service when needed, the water parks are amazing and would recommend go karts and lazor tag
There was so much to do the four days we were there we had still missed something. It was so much fun very clean very accomodating. I have posted on a lot of different pages about my experience and encouraged lots of people to try the wilderness because i was blown away by my experience
Had to get moved from a dirty room to a mildew room then the third one was okay, nothing special at all. The lake units were fun a few years ago though.
Glacier Canyon lodge was pretty incredible. So many different things to do with both indoor and outdoor options to check out a different one each day.
Big place. Nice people. Some workers speak English. Even has a 'paint your own pottery place inside ... in case you feel the need to go on vacation and spend a bunch of money and time painting a ceramic figurine that you could have easily done at home. If that's what you look forward to on a vacation though, your in luck!
Golf course cabins were nice but everything was broke or fixed incorrectly
I love staying here with my family! Kids love it! Also great for adults!
It's an amazing place for family fun. There is a lot of slides and an area for toddlers.
This is a great choice for families or groups looking for wet and wild fun. Small children, teens and adults can find something to thrill. A warning for those who haven't been to a water park or have a physical disability, many of the water attractions can be more physically stressful than they appear. Remember to get cardio and limber up. Even that lazy river can be not so lazy.
Great place for family fun lots to do water slides wave pool restaurants close to alot outside activities lot of different choices in room sizes
Great place for a family getaway. 3 indoor parks with slides for all ages
I got a condo and o loved it. The 3 Waterpark have a verity and are very fun
Stayed here for 3 days and 3 nights with my boyfriend in one of the whirlpool suites. We barely needed to leave the resort, as everything you need to have a great time is there! Awesome waterparks- our favorite was the Lost World outdoor water park with the awesome lazy river and tiki bars! Delicious breakfast at the Wild Canyon cafe, great food all around. Never had a bad experience with our waitstaff either. The arcades were also a blast, in addition to other attractions like the go-karts. Thank you for the fantastic time. I am already begging him to take me back.
So tiring. Each event is placed far from each other... you can enjoy trailing without paying money
Good place to enjoy the water park, things to do for all ages.
We all had a great time until the people below wanted to smoke on the balcony and the smoke waffled up and about killed us.
The fresh air and view was out a closed door because of stupid people.
Called and complained, I was told by the operator everything would be fine if I close my DOOR!!!
THE FIVE STARS ARE FOR THE WATER PARK ONLY!!
THE way the smoking was taken care of, negotiate stars would be a FIVE!
Since you can't approach stupid people anymore without being sued for ringing necks, I left it up to the staff and that failed miserably.
$600 to stay in a room with a view and had to leave our room for clean air!
Even the signs stated, no smoking in rooms and balconies.
I'll go again for the kids.
At glaciar canyons. Love the wave pool. I'm having a blast.
Three different indoor water parks, great raft rides and water slides, multiple arcades, two mini golfs, laser tag, laser maze, go carts, restaurants, craft activities, candy store, all inside. We like to go in the off season during the week, makes it much more affordable. Rooms are nice and basic. I recommend getting a 3rd floor room as all the foot traffic is on the second floor. Staff is great. Makes for a good family getaway.
One of my fav rides is the Hurricane Hope to go soon again
This is a great resort for a weekend trip. In my opinion it is one of the best resorts in the Dells. It has clean rooms and many activities to do.
Kids really enjoyed the water parks. The accommodations are very nice and homey.
Nice place, many options for food, rooms are a good size, fairly large crowds in water park
