Stated for 3 days last week. While my vehicle was parked in the parking lot, another guest threw a rock at it and broke the window. Camera footage was reviewed, but no one was caught doing it. Since Wilderness will not cover the damage, I'm out $389 for the repair. I had enjoyed my stay up to that point, but will not return.

We've been coming here for over 10 years and it's seen its highs and lows. This past weekend the staff was much better at their service, they've made some upgrades in their arcades, and the pools were clean. The rooms were okay but we're also more picky being we have smaller children who touch everything.

Such a beautiful fun relaxing place. The water parks inside and out were beautiful and fun. Had something to appeal to all ages. My family had a blast. The staff was kind and we had no issues.
The only negative thing we experienced were cars flying through the parking lots. A motorcyclist sped uncomfortably close to us as my friend and I were heading inside with groceries. He wasn't the last either and I know the resort can't control people's speed. So i say this to say be careful extra careful in the lots and especially watch out for your kids because most drivers did not adhere to the speed limit.
Other than that I HIGHLY recommend this place. A week seems ideal if u want enough time to see everything. We were only there for 4 days and I still feel like we missed out on a lot. There just weren't enough hours in the day.

Has gone down hill! Poor service by guest services, argumentative, they have also hiked prices up on everything else do to lost income over COVID. Did you know they forse the room cleaning staff to work WITHOUT AC!!!!!!! How awful!!

The Wilderness on the Lake was a top notch hotel and with full access to all the waterparks. We really enjoyed the weekend and will be returning next year! The staff was friendly and amenable and made sure we were aware of everything going on and we appreciated that. Can't wait to ride on their pontoon boat for free!

Wilderness is really nice. It's not my style though.

I really enjoy the amount of options to stay and the cost compared to other large resorts. The building variety and style is great.

The shuttles were quick and there was no need to call ahead. If you were ready they were ready and there within 5 minutes.

There is far to much walking from water park to water park and it's unfortunate they are so separated and not all under one roof.

A lot of the buildings need more updating. 5 years ago they did not have flat screen tvs in the cabins we stayed in. We stayed in the frontier condos in 2015 and they did. So it seems like they are updating.

Unfortunately the walls had a lot of chipped paint, the cleaning supplies were old and dirty, one of the door locks was locked from the inside and outside (fire hazard?) and I had to call to get it fixed so we wouldn't be charged, then the guy didn't show and had to be called again, and the screen porch didn't lock to the outside and the door to the inside from the screen porch didn't unlocked causeing you to get locked out.

The staff was good and everything went well while during our stay. This is a great resort for the price.

I did not stay at the hotel, just played in the water parks.Wave pool is fun as are the kids areas. Slides are fun and thrilling. Seats are at a premium though and can be nearly impossible to find so get there early. We got there an hour after they opened and we're there for nearly 6 hours and never was able to find an open table/seat. Pizza is average, and at $5.00 a slice, is steep for the size of slice you get. Pack light if you're not staying at the hotel because the lockers are on the small side, my family of 3 needed to rent 2 at 10.00 each to fit our coats and clothes. My family and I legitimately had a great time but some things sort of tarnished the experience.

The water parks were awesome but the water was a little cold so my little children would only play for a little bit before heading to warm up. Some water parks were warmer than others. Other than that my kids, ages 1, 2 1/2, 4 1/2, and 6, LOVED it!

My family has been going here for years, it's trustworthy, reliable and fun. The renovations they did make are odd I will say, I wish there were more things for babies and younger toddlers, the last time we went was for my nephews 3rd birthday and my daughter was 8 months at the time, pretty much all me and my daughter were able to do was play in the teeny tiny playground they have off to the side next to the gigantic playground for the older kids, we went swimming in the open water, played in the shallow water and went down a few kiddie slides and that's it...it's a place for children ages 3-10 I would say. I always loved coming here as a kid otherwise, playing the arcade games, running around in the playground, going down the water slides and having that loving family experience.

Love love this place! My favorite place to visit and i love bringing new people! I was just there for winter break the only thing i have bad to say is that we waited super long for the shuttles. And it was freezing by the doors! We waited over 30 minites most times. And my mother had my 1year old and waited an hour, the shuttle went by and didnt stop then came back the other way and she ran out waving and they kept driving. The guests that i brought were very upset and probably wont be back :(

First off the women at the front counter all seemed very cold, rude and not welcoming at all except for one middle aged woman who was helping a guest next to me(I wish I got her name to acknowledge her). Second of all they have hidden fees and charges that we were never told about or prepared for, and they were not willing to work with us and gave our group little to no information. So we ended up driving all the way home in disgust of this place not willing to return. Then after we called and politely asked for a refund they agreed to put it all back on the card and after waiting a few days the money never came in. So now I will have to call again and talk to them after I finish this review. I will never refer this place to anyone I know especially after having such high hopes. Very disappointed in The Wilderness.

The wilderness Hotel and Resorts is a very enjoyable experience for both young and old with many things to do with the waterparks and all of the arcades and indoor go carts and many other attractions to explore. I habe worked at this facility for many years and would encourage all to check it out when you can.

Nice and clean for the most part. Crappy front desk manager, Thursday, Jan 4th 2018. Rude and ridiculously unprofessional. If he worked for me he'd not have a job. Would be 4+ stars if not for the manager.

The trashiest place I've ever been to in the Dells. I wouldn't consider it a resort. Low people poor customer service.... kids hired as managers... it's a mess.... will never step a foot there again....

Its a great fun place to take the family but we got lost the entire time because the maps arent clear enough, and we went through 3 room keys because of techical difficulties but other than that, the wave pool was fun and the lazy river was relaxing

The Wilderness is way too crowded, over priced, and the staff has become a little more rude. Every room in the resort was packed full of people. The Kiddy Land play area (the area for little kids), was full of teens playing rough. I had to worry about my kid's well being and ended up following him around as he played in there. When the teens weren't playing rough, they were cuddling, so it looks like it's becoming a make out spot. I complained, but after speaking to the Guest Relations Manager, I received a cold response that felt like I was hearing "too bad, so sad." There are better resorts in Wisconsin Dells that will spare you this experience.

1) Overpriced. 2) It has a lot more slides than Kalahari. But unless you are water slide and roller coaster person you probably won't enjoy this place. 3) Covid-19 hotspot. It is no wonder that at this time of writing Wisconsin has one of the fastest-growing covid rates in the nation. When we visited a few weeks ago only about one in a hundred people were wearing masks and that was probably us. It was strange to see people not wearing masks nor practicing social distancing just because they thought they were close to the water. One of the staff himself remarked to me when I I asked him about it; he said people don't seem to care about their lives.

We had a party of 8 adults and 2 young children and had a great time! Water passes included with stay, fun activities indoors, clean rooms, and reasonable prices. The outdoor waterparks all close after Labor Day, so be aware that indoor parks might be affected.

It was to my extreme dismay the treatment that was given to my minor daughter and her friends as well as myself when speaking to a manager whose name I believe was Michelle. Throwing things at minors is very childish and the police will be contacted.

Always a blast, we visit often. It is a LOT of walking though. The hotel is basically a crooked line, and a walk from one end to the other takes about 15 minutes... Which we might end up doing a few times a day.

We come every spring break, always have a great time! The water in two of the water parks was cold in the kid's play areas this time, was a little disappointed. Stayed mainly in the water dome and cubby's cove with my two youngest. Still had a lot to do with two teenagers and two preschoolers. The new inside playground is great!

Amazing place! Has 3 different water parks and lots of entertainment areas like arcade and indoor go carts. Is a pretty massive hotel but navigation around is not bad! The wave is the most relaxing area. We went in mid February and stayed on a weeknight for a great price. The hot tub area that leads to the outside is pretty awesome-spent quite a bit of time there! Rooms were pretty spacious as well with a fold out couch/ sitting area separate from beds.

My friends and I have stayed at the Wilderness for the past 2 years for my birthday, we always have a fun time, from the huge wave pool to the indoor water slides, the indoor/outdoor hot tubs, even to the kids area where you spray people with water, it's all fun for us young adults! The only thing I would update is the shower & the shampoo, the shower barely sprays any water out and the shampoo even after washing your hair twice it feels like dry hay.

I have previously written a review on this place, however, the manager has reached out to me personally and offered me a deal on my second visit. She was very nice and apologetic. She herd my conserns and is assuring my second visit will not be anything like my first.
I currently change my 1 star rating to a 3. And after i complete my second visit with my accommodations to replace my first experience, I'll again review with my final thoughts.
Just know, if you do complain they do respond, which is huge kuddos to a company that can actually strive to fix the issues.

HUGE resort with lots of options for waterparks and entertainment. The parks are separated for the most part which makes them seem smaller, almost too small. Plus only a couple are actually connected so you may end up taking a shuttle to get to the others. The same goes for dining, there are a lot of choices but they may be on the otherside of the resort so you can't walk there.

On the plus side, many other activities for kids beyond the water including laser tag, go karts, and an arcade. The resort was also very well maintained inside.

We always stay there...
...now. forget the other Dells hotel/resorts... we've tried many. Wilderness is the best... clean, innovative water park slides and stuff, best food options, fun decor and theme, etc, etc. Cab be a hike from rooms and parking (parking is their biggest problem.) Can be loud in the hallways, but that's a problem with ALL Dells resorts. Each room has a private balcony and mini-kitchen. Fun place, and again, good food options. Ditch the kids and treat yourselves to dinner at the 'Fields at the Wilderness' restaurant across the lot from the main entry... GREAT food!

The place is huge. You would think they would have more chairs for people. We got here at 915 am and all the seats are already taken in the pool areas. Way over capacity for pools. The lazy river was crammed packed with people. Maybe lower your costs for drinks to. $20 for 2 vodka tonics?

We were so excited to come back this year...we have been coming for the last 10 years at least, at least twice a year...this year wasn t so great! We rented a 3 bedroom condo...excited for the larger space.... NOT very clean, mildew smell in shower, hairs in sink and in tub, carpet was FILTHY- my 2 year old daughter s feet were black after walking around for 10 mins with no shoes! The cabanas were dirty! Floor was black and smelled like mildew. I m so sad, this place used to be stellar, and I hope it s not slipping! Disappointed this year!!

I'm giving this 4 stars because we didn't have a dirty room like the others and our room was ready at 12pm which normally they say 4pm. But, this place is a maze and hard to keep track of the kids. We don't mind walking as we are active people, but got lost way too many times and it got annoying. I wish the waterparks were all combined as one large one and not so confusing!! The waterparks arent even that great ..Affordable price, but just too much of a maze. At the Kalahari, everything is self explanatory and easy to find. No map needed.

The place is cool and fun for the kids. It has amazing hotel rooms. If you are going to the dells the #1 thing you want to go to. The water park is fun for you and your family and the #1 thing you want to go on is the hurricane water slide. I love this place and I hope you do too!
