The lifeguards were rude and annoying. They keep bugging us about stupid rules instead of making sure nobody was drowning. My child was in danger, the lifeguard didn't do anything. My 11 year old had to save my 7 year old. The lifeguard was in front of us and stared at them instead of helping.
The lifeguards are young and they make no sense at all.
They were more into the rules and bossing around then making sure we had a good time.
The wave pool doesn't make good waves they are so small. The place is called wild Waves when the waves are not wild.
The river pool lifeguards didn't do anything to move the extra rafts, between the rocks they would get stuck and the people could not get through the lifeguard got us in trouble for not moving when we couldn't move.I pointed that out to him and he ignored me.
My kids were so unhappy and that's all they talked about the way back home. They hated the lifeguards.

It was great; not too busy, not too hot. My 7 year old finally tried the Mountain Dew slides and LOVED them, so that was rad! There are still nasty ol bathing suits hiked and tucked into places they have no business being hiked and tucked in to AT A CHILD-FRIENDLY, PUBLIC PLACE!!! But I digress...

Awesome place for kids. Yes the lines can be long depending on what time of day you go. I recommend going during a weekday if possible. Bring your own food in a cooler in the car and take meal breaks.

I was supposed to meet my friends here but they didn't bring in their phones so I asked if there was a way to contact them through the intercom but was told they didn't have one. Pretty sure the girl was lying. How do they find missing kids? Parking was $12 which is ridiculous plus it is very unorganized and hard to find your car because none of the lanes were labeled. A very small locker was $12. One of the kiosks wasn't excepting cards and that was all I had so after I had already waited 10 minutes in line for the first one I then had to wait again for the other kiosk. Bathrooms were very dirty and the changing room curtains are see through so everyone can see you. Defeats the purpose. Lines to get on water slides took forever because there was only one lifeguard up top. Beer was $8 and they were under staffed so it took forever just to get a beer. Rides were fun but they need more staff and need to clean park more often. I will be driving the extra distance to go to Silverwood next time because this place is gross and overpriced.

MILITARY FAMILIES DO NOT GO HERE!
They have no respect for the military what so ever. I will NEVER be back.
Their staff is rude and are not understanding and don t care what so ever. They will do anything to make a buck off families. They have no regard for military at all.
Came here for my daughters birthday. A lot of what she could do was shut down. I get it things happen but for a 5 year old birthday you could of had us come back at a different time. Instead they said either stay or go. The lady in the front was very RUDE. Hard understanding someone who has literally no teeth. I will make sure not to have anyone go here! Lost out on 70 dollars (way over priced to begin with) and had to take my daughter somewhere else for her birthday.

This place rather have un happy customers leave and not return then to keep a returning customer.

BAD BUSINESS.

This place should be ASHAMED.

Where do I start? Don't forget to bring 10 dollars for parking, bring it in cash because my debit card was charged twice since the lady couldn't get one to work apparently and used two different hand-held machines. There was parts of the park closed so getting around was confusing. The bathrooms... ugh.. I don't even know where to begin. There were only a few restrooms around the very crowded water parks and all of them everywhere were absolutely disgusting. I never saw one maintenance worker the entire day I spent there. Most rides for the kids were old and many were closed. I was upset that I paid $10 to park and my car was vandalized. I never could find food to buy other than junk food and no food was allowed in... I grew up in this area, when I was younger and went I got my foot cut in the wave pool when I stepped on an earring. I remember chewing gum all over one of the roller coasters from a few years back. I haven't been in years but it was pretty much as disappointing. Clean up Wild Waves!!

Went with my 21 year old daughter....lines so long.....To get in wild waves there was a line for no reason. If you purchased your ticket on line can walk right up to gate...I had to tell everyone in line to walk in if they purchased there tickets on line and if they needed to pay at the window just walk up to the yellow booths that had no one in them. My daughter and I only went on one ride that took 2 hours to ride. It was fun but did not go again cuz the line was even longer. We decided to get something to eat (garlic fries) and stood in line for 40 minutes. This could of been a lot faster if they operated the system better.

Wild Waves needs to revamp things to run more efficiently.....oh and never did I see one employee smile.

We visited with our three kids (4, 8 & 10); one day probably wasn't long enough...! Spent the morning riding the theme park in the hope that the clouds would clear a little before hitting the waterslides, and there was more than enough to keep us entertained. The waterpark was a little disappointing for some of us who seemed unlucky with wait times on certain slides (there were times when these were being run at reduced capacity, despite long lines); 45 minutes at the top of a tower with an 8 year-old is a big ask... Otherwise, a big hit, and fondly remembered...

I'll be honest, some of these recent reviews almost prevented me from going. But I'm glad I didn't listen. My husband and I went today (August 18) and had the best time. We got there about 1PM, and the water area was pretty crowded, but we weren't there for that. The rides kept us busy until 6:30. Yes, some rides were closed all day, but that happens sometimes. I'd rather be safe than riding a ride that should be closed. There were also yellow jackets buzzing around, as some mentioned. But, there's lots of plants/flowers around the concession area and there's sugary drinks being sold. That's a recipe for bees! So, just be careful. The only gripe I have is that outside drinks aren't allowed (including water), but several stands and vending machines ran out of water by late afternoon. It wasn't extremely hot or busy, so I feel as though that shouldn't have happened. Other than that, the workers made us feel safe and welcome. Lines weren't long for us, but sometimes groups of only two get to jump ahead in line if there's a family wanting to go together. Worth the money in my opinion. (Also, I have no idea why people are complaining about long lines...if it gets busy, you're going to have to wait. What do people want? Shorter rides?)

Long lines rude people and over expensive food and drink prices. 100 we paid to get in and park and that was with 25 off the usual price and we waited in line for the never ending river for 2 hrs this place has way too many long lines 4 hrs and we did 2 rides. Never again.

It's definitely not a park built for thrill rides like a Six Flags might be, but it's absolutely a good day. Food is expensive, you pay for parking, ($10), but the rides are fun. Park seems to be staffed only by teenagers, but it wasn't an issue during our visit. If we had had children with us, I'm not sure how much fun we would have had avoiding the funner thrill rides.

Good deals with season pass. I would get it. Didnt like the restrictions on the time to pick the free stuff. We paid the money, i should get my souvenir bottle since they sell them.

Overall a good park, great staff, not overly crowded. Just went today and have one major complaint. Warning if you are planning on doing water rides. BRING WATER SHOES OR SANDALS!! I made the mistake of not wearing them and suffered bad burns on the bottom of both feet from walking from the ends of water slides to the stairs to the other ones. My feet are covered in blisters now. So if you are going to go on water rides make sure you, and your children wear something on your feet to protect from burning.

I used to get season passes for my kids when they were young, and came to enjoy the park myself, as well as my husband. Now our kids are grown and we still buy a pass for ourselves on occasional seasons. We bought our pass on labor day, on a whim last year. None of us knew Covid would take this season from us. Sort of bummed, but completely understand and appreciate that it won t be open soon. I was looking forward to it, as were probably many other people. And I will continue to look forward to the reopening, as will many others.

*It s nice that they will replace everyday missed this season, with passes next season. So we already have a jump on next years passes.

We have visited Wild Waves on multiple occasions and always have a great time. We actually choose going to Wild Waves over our community fair because you get so much more for your money. This year we chose to celebrate my daughter's 10th birthday at Wild Waves. The staff was 100% helpful and friendly and we had a wonderful time. I only have two complaints. The first involves the operation of my favorite water activity the Lazy River. It was so crowded and hard to get tubes that we ended up renting our own tubes. Once we got in, using our rented tubes, I was appalled at how many EMPTY tubes were floating around with NO riders even though there was a HUGE line of waiting customers. Not only was it frustrating for those waiting in a long hot line trying to catch a tube; it was also frustrating for those riding the river with empty tubes CONSTANTLY getting in the way. We have also frequented the Lazy River at Silverwood and TOTALLY prefer their approach. Tubes are not required but if you choose to have one they are freely available without the frustrating chaos. My second complaint involves returning my rented tubes. I was told that if I returned the tubes I would get a small deposit back per tube. I hauled the three tubes all the way back with ten minutes to spare and guess what. NO EMPLOYEE AT THE WINDOW. As a matter of fact, the window was already closed. If they expect us to follow park rules, why are they not following their own policies? This is a special treat for hard working families. They always want to get that last ride in before going back home and ending a fun filled day. I made sure my kids understood the time frame of having the tubes back on time, but unfortunately Wild Waves did not feel it was important to follow their own policies. We did have a fantastic time at Wild Waves; however, I feel these are two problems that could be easily reconciled.

It's just okay. Too expensive for what it offers. The food is way overpriced and not fresh. The wait for some wings and fries was so long I wondered how the place would operate with more people since it was just my friend and I at the counter. The staff was understaffed and stressed. Not one member looked like they wanted to work there. Heavy police presence. Some rides were closed, which is very noticeable since they don't offer many rides anyway. The wooden rollercoaster looked too unsecure - kind of an "any minute now" look to it. Lines for water rides were long, but that can be expected. What's the deal with the pre-bagged cotton candy? Was that more cost efficient than making them fresh? For the only thing close to a theme park in the Tacoma area, you kinda settle for what you get, but it does not offer any excitement or thrill. I returned home unimpressed and without a second thought to anything significant I had done other than overpay for one corndog and wait half a lifetime for food in Sharkey's Bar. Sitting and relaxing at a table was the highlight of the day and I could do that elsewhere for free.

I visited this place on Sunday. I was happy to see a beer garden to hang out while the people in my party enjoyed the park. However, I was VERY disappointed in the ADA wheelchair accessibility of the beer garden. There is nothing but steps to get in and it's all roped off leaving me no access to get in or sit under an umbrella. My girlfriend took it upon herself to speak with a manager about the situation . The manager Dan whom we spoke with did an OUTSTANDING job of correcting the situation the best he could and removed the rope for me to get in the area. I would really like to say Thank you Dan for making the situation right and thank you even MORE for seeing that changes need to be made!!!!!!
My kids LOVED the park! I wish the park would stay open a little later during summer. We will definitely be back!

We just had our first visit to the park and I have to say I was a little disappointed. We got there early but still had to wait 45 minutes in line. Thankfully we were able to snag a good spot near the wave pool and I'm glad we did because that place was a mad house after noon. Our mistake for going on a hot Sunday but the lines for everything was ridiculous. We were able to do 5 rides total in 7 hours. The staff at the concessions were extremely rude! The girl taking orders at the pizza stand didn't even greet us, she just looked at us when we got to the register. When we walked away my son dropped his soda because the lid wasn't on all the way. They literally watched it happen and refused to refill it. In general it's way over priced. $18 for 3 slurpees? Jeez! Lifeguards are rude and are all about nitpicking. My son was pretty upset he wasn't allowed to wear goggles in the pool. I'm not even going to get into how gross the place is because it makes me nauseous just thinking about it. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because the 5 rides (3 water slided, 2 roller coasters) were fun. Definitely not worth the $250 I spent for 3 people at the end of the day. I think we'll checkout a different park next summer.

The Rides are fun and the staff is always polite. My wife and I go every year for my birthday around this time of year. The one thing that should be added is a fast lane for refilling or getting sodas. Great place to take the family for sure. Life guards are always paying attention. The water rides are always a blast. Go on weekdays before summer starts. The lines are super short or non existent.

We liked the park. But some simple changes could be made. Like making different locations for changing. Because even though there's a big sign that says "Restrooms only" people still go in there and change. Maybe while you are cleaning the wave pool every hour can have someone use something to clean above the yellow line. Things gather there and it's nasty. Also keep something to push the water to the drains. I dropped a piece of clothing on the floor and it was soaking wet when I picked it up :-(

A nicer regional water park. They offer typical theme park food at typical theme park prices (pack food in a cooler and go out to the car for lunch! You can leave and reenter). They have I'd say 3 or 4 awesome water slides, a few more typical ones, a wave pool, a huge water feature geared towards kids under 12, and a pretty cool rec pool for the older kids with a neat cliff diving feature. The dry side is a bit more sizable with notable attractions being the all wooden roller coaster the Timberhawk (worth the usual wait), the Timber Axe, the Ring of Fire and the newer Brain Drain. Not included with admission are the giant Zipline and the i5 dive. They definitely have a good smattering of smaller rides for smaller kiddos. This park used to have smoking areas but it is now completely non smoking including vaping.

Your discount tickets have over populated the park. You are giving the park away for free (ok for 14.95) but at the expense of your season pass holders. I bought season tickets and went for the 1st time this last monday. Lines that in past years took 15 minutes were now taking twice as long if not longer. If thats how it is on a Monday I am terrified to know what a weekend holds. Respectfully regretting my season pass purchase.

Will never go back. Over priced and very dirty park. Lines were so long only got to go on 5 rides in 4 and a half hours. People were cutting lines and fighting over tubes. My 6 year old was very disappointed. Disneyland is better by far than this place.
