Always a great menu to choose from at the hot food...
Always a great menu to choose from at the hot food bar. Overall shopping experience is good, just a little bit pricey sometimes.

The mother ship, good grocery, lots of mini-bistro options inside, and seating options outside.
This is the flagship Whole foods, but it isn't really very nice. I had dinner upstairs here the other night and everyone in my party somehow ended up with our pants torn by the chairs. What are the odds? Apparently better than I would have thought. Get it together.
Incredible,it's a must visit if you are in the area, they have almost everything and incredible fresh baked goods, desserts, seafood and food cooked fresh in the store.
Endless options! Very up to date and pretty much will be able to find anything you're looking for.
A destination by itself! The whole foods market flagship store has a great variety of vegetables, grains, nuts, cereals, and foods of all types available. The store has a great desert bar, pizza bar, drinks bar and more. And they usually allow people to sample a lot of the stuff available. Nowhere else will you see this much variety in food in one place. Also just as a tip: Make sure to pick up some sticky toffee pudding from the sticky toffee pudding co. They are by far the best ready to heat desserts anyone can find anywhere. Heck they are probably some the best desserts anywhere period.
This is the mothership and has an astounding selection of eateries, takeout, gdocery, anything you need. Staff is very pleasant and helpful
The "go-to" place for health food and related products. However, for those unfamiliar with WFM, it helps to have a healthy bank account upon entering the hallowed halls because this a pricey place to buy groceries. However, I would much rather spend extra money on quality products. I will add that Saturdays mornings and afternoons are a great time to visit because the store often has samples of many products. My favorite thing about WFM are the events that range from live music performances to ice skating during the holidays.
Although it is very nice with organic products, as well as a appealing environment, it is on the pricy side.
They got you covered, from drinks while shopping to the discounts you revive being a prime member! How could it get better?!
My favorite place to food shop, they have everything I need under one roof. The have such a large selection of trendy new items. They ve got just about everything, well at least enough for me! My favorite time of year is around x-mas when they bring out the mini skating rink.
I love the whole foods headquarters! Perhaps my favorite restaurant in Austin... Try all of the food bars!
I was staying in Austin for 2 weeks on holiday and this place was a godsend. I have never seen such a selection of delicious food and drink in my life.
Still looking for any price drops since Amazon took over.
I went to this WH yesterday to get the salmon dinner special and my salmon was raw! When I called to inform the store manager, I was told that was very atypical as they have highly acclaimed chefs. He offered a gift card to reimburse for the amount paid. It was very disappointing to make an extra effort to go to WH to get one of their dinners only to come home to raw salmon dinner, never mind the potential health issues with taking a bite of it!
I tried to order a Chocolate Bomb cake yesterday for Christmas Eve (a whole week prior), they said they are unable to take speciality orders until after the new year due to being short staffed. This is a family staple we will have to go without this year :(. It's been our family's cake since we had one at our wedding 10 years ago. Please, brilliant bakers, apply at Whole Foods! They need you! We need you! And I hear they have great benefits! :)
This is the Whole Food Mecca! Great place to shop, eat, and drink!
I've heard good things about this place so I went to try it out, and as I was walking around I got hungry so I ordered a sandwich. This sandwich cost $10, was maybe the size of a subway 6 inch, and the lettuce had gone bad. All of the lettuce served to me was bad, and it was disgusting.
the traffic sucks here and getting in and out of it can be a very big pain
I mean, it's the granddaddy of them all. You'd never want this to be your first grocery store experience because you'd pretty much be facing a lifetime of disappointment elsewhere. Don't have this store be your standard. It's a palace. It's where I have my birthday every year. AND they have an amazing upstairs courtyard, patio, and PLAYGROUND. So I mean, what's not to like.
Friendly team members. Very fresh produce, great central location and a wonderful food bar. Actually 3 separate tables salad, hot food and more veggies. A little pricy compared to other grocery stores.
Yep it's got a lot of great stuff, just super pricey.
I travel down to Austin every year for South by Southwest. This Whole Foods is my Mecca. It's the mothership and it is my annual destination. I discover all sorts of new food products there and bring back as many of them with me back home as I can. I love this place!
This might be the coolest grocery store and all of south or central Texas. large variety of produce and perishable goods and the best beer selection I have ever seen.
We go here on a regular basis! Service is great and staff is always friendly and willing to help. The coffee bar is terrific. They make anything you like with vegan milk options. The hot food bar is always fresh and clean. They also have vegan options in their big and small individual bakery sections. They make fresh custom juices here which are a bit pricey but delicious.
Bezos is a crook. Don't support this company. It is ruining your local economy.
I felt like I found the meca of Whole Foods. Resteraunt, live music, and cafe ... I didn't want to leave
What is this basket and where are we going with Amazon ?
A bit pricey for sure but very high quality makes it a great place to grocery shop.
Original whole foods with a lot of options to eat in. Great place for a quick bite and healthy varied options.
This is THE Whole Foods. Parking lot gets really full
This is the mother ship. I can't even describe the whole foodedness of it all.
Whole Foods HQ!!
Favorite supermarket. It's expensive but the selections are great, the produce is top notch and the people seem to love their jobs.
The staff is super knowledgeable and they are helpful. You must go.
PS...If you go around Xmas there is ice skating on the second floor patio :-)
It is what it is. Huge. Lots of choices. Lots of food options. Sometimes looks like a tornado came through.
We are life long customers of Whole Foods in Austin and, for the most part, we enjoy shopping there. Unfortunately, sometimes, our shopping experience is not optimum. Namely, on a recent visit, we noticed that there was a new surcharge for buying half a loaf of bread, instead of the usual half price for half the loaf. When we inquired if this was a mistake the associate there told us that "this was a new policy that came straight down from corporate", obviously, herself, not happy with it. We hope that this was a one-time mistake that corporate made since Whole Foods has prided itself in being a full service grocery store, charging a premium for their products (the type of bread we bought is priced at 30% more at Whole Foods than the equivalent product at Central Market) and not start nickel-and-dimeing their customers like some cheap convenience stores do.
It's a good place to shop and also to get food for vegetarian
First time here. I don't have an eating disorder, I just thought I'd check it out. Everything is nicely displayed, but a little bit over priced. What can I say, healthy living comes with a price. Though I I'm sure majority of the shoppers walk around with their heads up, so no one will see their second chin.
What gives this place 3 stars from me, is the barista at the coffee place. I asked for ice-coffe with no milk. She gave me a shot of espresso over ice. I'm not sure where the miscommunication took place, but obviously she received my order with a bit of dim light mind.
Coolest whole foods ever!!! I love whole foods but I especially love this whole foods. Great bread and great food. Good service always. And it's right below the Austin skyline. Eat amazing food with an amazing view.
This flagship Whole Foods store is everything you'd expect plus more. Such great variety of high quality food all in one place.
Eat in, get organic grocery items, no utensils except disposable, nice staff, 80% true to brand
This place is awesome! They have a huge selection of healthy foods. They're a little pricey but very worth it. About a week after buying groceries here, I just had a lot more energy and felt all around better. There are a bunch of little food shops inside too. I've never had a bad experience here. If you're looking to save money, it's worthwhile to download the Whole Foods Market app. It automatically applies any coupons that are available to your cart! Plus, the in-house 365 brand prices are comprable to HEB.
Parking can be tricky. Nice healthy selections of food and wine.
Large collection of food. It even comes with a barbecue section inside. Those moist beef brisket is just heavenly!
I ve been to well over a hundred Whole Foods markets across the country and this one takes the cake, by far.
Nothing special about whole foods anymore, more options ar better prices else where
One of the best Whole Foods I've visited yet! Bellisimo!
It's like Epcot for food. Sushi in one area. Taco's in another. You have to check this place out. It is all good.
One of the flagship Whole Foods Locations. The store is well maintained, the staff is friendly, and there are plenty of parking spots. This location has outdoor and indoor seating available.
It was an experience. I really liked your organic food. I hope to return soon.
Great place for organics and high quality foods. Restaurants and beer in the store.
Enjoy the variety of healthy foods they have. Even the sweet treats are healthier! I was able to enjoy dairy free sweets confidently knowing what was in it!
Only problem is the restrooms are pretty bad and really could be improved.
The service at this store is beyond appalling. I asked an employee for help in finding an item. An employee named Lindsay . I actually waited quite a while until she was finished speaking to her group of co-worker friends that were laughing and gossiping in the middle of the aisle (they were not on breaks). Lindsay was actually hanging and playing on a clothing rack. Lindsay immediately went into a rude tirade the minute that I asked a question for help on finding a product. She then chastised me and made fun of my Texan accent. Are we not in Texas?? Hello?! Her co-workers were equally as rude. A heavy set red haired girl in cosmetics and a brunette haired girl in cosmetics. Is this what Whole Foods has become? A bunch of millennials playing around as if this were their store? Can I get a job here? Not work, make fun of customers? Get a paycheck? Make fun of Texans in Texas. What a sad situation. As we all know Whole Foods is not cheap, and apparently now they do not have customer service as well.
It lost his special flare, food taste not good anymore, only the cashier was very good.i noticed the new tables where u can eat, they where dirty and have a very sharp edge, almost to the skin-cutting-point.im not going in nomore.sad!!!
Love this place, actually went on a date here when the ice skating was going on.
This Whole Foods is always very packed, due to it's location. Items are quite over priced, and I would not recommend for everyday grocery shopping. If you are looking for a special ingredient and do not want to pay the high prices here, go to Central Market - it's a fancy HEB - and they're usually way cheaper.
All the fresh fruit I need, nearly all I want, at mostly reasonable prices. Though i usually just stay in the produce section.
Flagship store. Lots of food options for a quick snack or big lunch. Don't miss the small but pleasant beer bar in the back.
hipsterishh but still tasty, liked the whole smoothies thing
I have not been here in a while. Cashier rude and too familiar. Im a guest treat me accordingly. She acted as though the last thing she wanted to do was cash me out. Super apathetic and bored. Im surprised she didnt yawn in my face. She is about 5"8'. Owl looking glasses. Medium skin tone brunette. I was shocked at how filthy the 6th street steps looked. Filthy. Ive never thought the guest service was great here but to leap down from that. Wow.
